Young one – Loki
I found myself in the far off land of Antarctica, wandering over the glaciers and snow covered ice. I'd run away further than I intended to and now I was hopelessly lost and I think there was a blizzard coming in. My surroundings weren't cold to me, as strange as that may sound. I'd discovered that I could travel over water and the snow and ice elements never made me cold. I rubbed at my cheeks to rid myself of the uncomfortable feeling of dry tears before nearly letting out a yelp as I found a tall man in front of me.
I was slightly uncomfortable with the way he was staring at me with ice blue eyes and found myself curling in on myself before he stepped closer as if to inspect me.
"What are you doing out here?"
"I ran away and got lost." I replied, looking up at him.
"But you are not cold. How is that so?" I found myself looking at the golden horns that protruded from his helmet and realised he was clothed in some sort of metal armour as if he was going into battle. I shrugged.
"Don't know, I just know that I can't get cold and I can travel over water by foot." I answered, making his expression turn inquisitive.
"What is your name mortal?"
"Aislin. Why did you call me mortal? What makes you different to me?" I remarked, frowning slightly.
"I am Loki Laufeyson, God of Chaos and Mischief, descendant from a Frost Giant."
"But why does that make you think you're so much better than us?" I asked, successfully rendering him speechless. I smiled a little before stepping around him and carrying on walking through the thicker snow as more started to fall.
"You said you are lost, then why do you not come with me? I can show you the way back to your civilisation."
"Perhaps I do not want to go back to the life I am destined." I replied, glancing back to see him following behind me.
"Then we are the same in a sense. Come with me child and you shall never have to worry about fulfilling you destined life at home. You would become something great, powerful and you would rule with me." Loki said almost too dramatically.
"If you find me again before the blizzard comes, I'll go with you. But for now, good luck." I gave him a smile before taking off at an impossibly fast run across the frozen over lake, leaving him behind in a small billow of snow dust and my red hair flowing out behind me like a wave of fire in this white land.
