OoOoOoOoOoOoOoO

Link fought down a whine. He slowly walked to Midna.

"I want to know why our world is leaking into the light beings," Midna ordered, "Now!"

"Right away Princess Midna!" yelled the Twili.

Link's ears shoot up. He smiled and he wagged hit tail.

I knew she couldn't be evil, he thought.

Link barked and ran to Midna. Midna looked over and smiled.

"Midna!" Link shouted.

"Link!" Midna shouted back.

"By the goddesses!" Mido yelled.

Midna and Link looked over at Mido. He was setting in a tree with both arms and legs crossed. He didn't look happy either.

"The Forest Prince," Midna said breathlessly.

She bowed to him. Mido blinked. This was the first time a Twili showed him any kind of respect.

"Great one," said Midna, "I apologize for what my father and Zant has done to you. It was wrong of us to try and convert a light being, such as you, to a being of Twilight."

Mido blushed.

"I'll accept your apology..." he said, "for now."

Midna smiled, but it quickly turned into a frown.

"I have no clue what's going on here," she stated, "the fact that even I can be here means that our worlds are one."

"Is there anything we can do?" Link asked.

Mido rolled his eyes. Midna smiled at Link.

"All of the spirits' lights are gone again," she said, "if you could fix that we might be able to do something."

Link nodded. He looked over at Mido. The Kokiri didn't look too pleased at him.

"It might be best to do Orin first," Link suggested.

"Okay," Mido said sounding annoyed.

Midna sighed and looked at Link.

"Give him some time," she said, "I'm sure he'll accept our friendship soon enough."

Link nodded.

"I sure hope you're right about that," he said before he and Mido left.

Link kept glancing up at Mido with a worried look. Mido sighed.

"Yes Link?" he asked.

"You really don't like the Twili do you?" Link asked.

Mido stopped causing Link to do the same. There was a longing and sad look on Mido's face.

"They're the reason why I grew," answered Mido.

Link gave him a confused look.

"We Kokiri were to never grow up," Mido explained, "the king and Zant wanted to use my power to control our world. So they used their own power to try and turn me into one of them. Instead I turned into a monster. The only way to cure me was to age me so that my powers could become stronger."

"Mido I'm sorry," said Link with a whine.

"Don't be," Mido said. "I'll try to be a bit nicer to Midna. She seems like she knows the difference from right and wrong."

Link smiled and continued on their way. They came to the spirit spring where Orin gave Link the vessel of light. From there they headed off to find the "bugs".

OoOoOoOoOoOoOoO

Water shot out of the river with great power to a bug. Nothing happened.

"Oh come on!" yelled Dark Link, "I hit it!"

Time tried to bite another one, but got the same results.

"How can we get rid of these if we can't touch them?" he wondered.

Just then another bug died for no reason. Time and Dark looked at each other. Then another died.

"You don't think that that other Link has anything to do with this do you?" Dark asked.

"That is possible," Time answered.

A third bug died to some kind of green light. Flowers bloomed where it was.

"Mido?" Dark and Time asked at the same time.

OoOoOoOoOoOoOoO

"Nice shot Mido!" complimented Link.

Mido smiled proudly.

"Thanks," he said.

Link bit into two more while Mido shot down three. They found the last one at the ranch. Mido floated up to get a better shot while Link got ready to jump at it. Link's teeth sank into it. The last light went into the vassal as the Twilight disappeared. Link turned back into a human. He looked around for Mido. Mido yelled as he fell from the sky. Link caught him. They looked at each other and blushed. Mido got out of Link's arms. He coughed.

"Um thanks for catching me," Mido said not looking at Link and still having his blush.

"You're welcome," Link said doing the same.

A wolf barked causing the two to look. Time came running up to them.

"What happen?" Time asked, "you two disappeared when the Twilight hit."

Link and Mido looked at each other and then back to Time. They told him of all that accrued. Time was surprised that Mido didn't turn into a monster this time. After that Link went to check on everyone. They, then, went back to the spirit, Ordon.

"Thank for returning my light," it said, "I;m sure you know by now that the Twilight is coming back. It's being forced here, but I do not know what. The sages would though. For now go and bring back the light to the other spirits."

Link nodded.

"Prince Mido," said Orin, "you are probably confused as to why you didn't turn into a monster this time. It's because of the spiritual stone. Your powers are now strong enough that it has fused with the power of the stone. It is creating a shield over you."

Mido nodded in understanding. He and Link thanks the spirit before it vanished.

"Where to next?" Mido asked.

"Furore Forest," answered Link.

And so their journey continued.
