Just in case there's any curiousness (I think that's a word) I'm not going to add Adam, Bree, or Chase's new abilities just yet. Or the new lab. And the Marcus thing hasn't happened as of this story. So this is basically first season stuff with a little bit of season two.

Anyway, on with the story….. (looks off into the distance and it does that ripple thing like when people on TV have a flash back)

*Ally's POV*

I slightly opened my eyes and practically hissed at the light pouring in through my window. I am so not a morning person. But I'm not a total night owl either. I don't get how some people can stay up until 3am or later. I'm lucky if I can hit 1am and then it's lights out for me.

I let my eyes adjust a little before glancing at my alarm clock. 9:23am. Not too bad for a Saturday morning. I rolled out of bed and walked over to my window. Not a cloud in the sky and the sun was shining. What a perfect day. Too bad I'll most likely spend it inside. I looked over to my closet before deciding to eat breakfast before I do anything else.

"Good morning princess," Rupert greeted from the stove.

"Good morning," I said back, taking a sip of the orange juice that was waiting on the island countertop for me.

"So, what are your plans for this beautiful day?" Rupert asked as he placed a plate stacked high with pancakes in front of me.

"I'm probably just going to stay in today," I shrugged, stabbing a couple pancakes with my fork and putting them on my own plate. I reached for the brown sugar without looking at Rupert.

"Stay in?" Rupert clarified. I nodded. "Why ever for? It's a beautiful day. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping."

"I know it's a beautiful day out today, there's just nothing really for me to do," I said, sprinkling brown sugar on my pancakes. I love Rupert's pancakes. They're nothing like the ones you get in a restaurant. Those ones are big and thick, but his are small and almost delicate. And putting brown sugar on them is something he taught me years ago when he first started working for my family. Rupert had taken the place of my mother for our Saturday morning breakfasts. It wasn't the same as it had been with my mom, but I still loved them none the less.

"Well, why don't you go for a walk or something," Rupert suggested. "Anything to get out of the house."

"Why? Getting sick of me already?" I asked jokingly.

"Of course not," Rupert assured, kissing the top of my head before taking a bite out of his brown sugar covered pancake. "There is nothing more I love than spending time with you. But you need to get some fresh air. It's good for a growing girl like you."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," I sighed. "As if I have any more growing to do." I have been 5' 5" for about three years now. I used to be considered tall, but everyone else kept growing and I kinda just stalled. "But I know you're right. Maybe I'll go out for a jog."

"That is a great idea," Rupert agreed, already grabbing himself another pancake.

After we finished eating I thanked Rupert for the delicious meal and went back upstairs to my room to get ready for my jog. I took a quick shower and blow dried my hair before putting it up into a high ponytail. I went into my walk in closet and changed into some short black cotton running shorts, a neon yellow sports bra, a slightly baggy hot pink tank top, white ankle socks, and pink and blue running shoes. I grabbed my gym bag and stuffed my wallet, iPod Touch, iPhone, headphones, car keys, Advil, and a light weight pink sweater in. I've gotten killer headaches when I've run before and now I always take Advil with me whenever I go running. I ran back into the kitchen to find Rupert standing by the door with my water bottle full of ice cold water. I smiled at him as I took the bottle from him and turned and left the kitchen.

"Bye Rupert!" I called right as I swung open my front door.

"Have fun princess!" he called back. "Be back by noon for lunch!"

"Okay!" I yelled before closing the door behind me. I unlocked my car and got into the driver's seat. I turned the key in the ignition and the shiny red car roared to life. I turned on the radio and drove myself to the park a few blocks away. I could have easily jogged there, but then I would have nowhere to put my bag. And I could have ridden my bike, but I haven't touched it since my mom died. Too many bad memories I guess.

Once I got to the park I turned the engine off and took a swig of my water before putting it back in my bag and shoving it under the seat in hopes of it staying cool. I got out of the car and walked a little ways away. I used the back of a park bench to stabilize myself as I stretched. Stretching is very important after all. Once I properly stretched all my muscles I started jogging around the path.

After about 30 minutes of jogging I went back to my car and got my water bottle. I kept walking around the path, taking a few big sips of water as I went around. I figured two loops around the park would be enough time for me to cool down.

"Heads up!" a voice shouted from what sounded like a long distance away. I turned my head just as some kind of ball came and hit me right in the head. The force of the blow knocked me right down.

"Way to go Adam," I heard a voice say from a slightly closer distance.

"You're right, I should have said heads down," the first voice replied. He sounded like he was a lot closer than he originally was. I heard two sets of footsteps get closer and closer as I sat up and shook grass out of my hair.

"Are you okay miss?" the second voice asked. Then it clicked for me. He called the other guy Adam and he sounded strangely familiar. I looked up and sure enough there was Chase and Adam Davenport. Wait a minute… did Chase just call me miss? Oh heck no.

"Did you just call me miss?" I asked.

"Ally?" Chase asked. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm okay," I assured him. "Just slightly off balance I guess."

"Here," he said, offering me his hand. What a gentleman, he knocks me down but at least he helps me back up. As long as he doesn't knock me back down again I am very happy with this.

"Thanks," I took his hand and he hauled me up with ease. Huh, I thought Chase was supposed to be weak. I'm not fat or anything, average I'd say, but he pulled me up like I was a feather.

"You sure you're okay?" Chase asked again. I rolled my eyes at him but was touched that he cared.

"I'm sure," I said again. I looked at Adam and he was holding a soccer ball with a guilty look on his face.

"Sorry I hit you," Adam apologized.

"It's okay," I shrugged. "You must have kicked that thing pretty hard to get all the way here from the soccer field." The soccer field was over fifty yards, probably about seventy five.

"Oh, not really," Adam said nonchalantly, tossing the ball back and forth between his hands. I gave him a confused look.

"Uh, he's just trying to make himself sound better than he really is," Chase rushed to say. I raised my eyebrow at him but he just smiled innocently. "Anyway, what are you up to?"

"Just going for a jog," I answered, taking full notice how he changed the subject so fast. "What are you guys doing here? You know, besides knocking people over with blows to the head."

"Oh no, that was just you," Adam said. Oh Adam, you really aren't as smart as they say.

"We're just getting out of the house for a while," Chase said, ignoring his brother's comment. "Leo left our house pretty early this morning, Bree and Rose have taken over practically everything with our step mom , and our dad is hiding from them."

"A little too much female estrogen for you?" I giggled.

"Yeah, we usually out rank them, but not this weekend," Chase rolled his eyes. "My first choice wasn't exactly a park, but Adam insisted."

"Let me guess, you would have rather gone to the library," I guessed.

"Of course," Chase said as if it were obvious that a teenage boy would rather spend a Saturday in a library than outside at a park with non-nerdish people.

"Well, how about later you come over to my house again," I offered. "Then we can work more on our project and you don't have to be in a house full of women."

"Sounds great," Chase smiled. "What time?"

"Hey Chase look! I knocked something bushy out of a tree!" Adam yelled from a few feet away.

"Come over as soon as you want," I said to Chase. He nodded gratefully before steering his brother away from the mad squirrel.

As I headed back to my car I couldn't get what Adam said out of my head. If he didn't kick that soccer ball very hard then how could it have flew over well over fifty yards and still hit me in the head with that much force. It just didn't make any sense. And then Chase was quick to come up with an excuse, almost as if he needed to cover it up. I wonder what really happened.

Okay, not gonna lie, that was a total filler. But I personally love writing little Rully (Rupert/ Ally) moments. Anyway, I was going through my reviews and I HAVE 62 OF THEM! You guys are awesome!
