Sorry once again, my chapter is really short. But I am trying and it is getting to the good part. Hope you enjoy. Please comment, I need some feedback.
Chapter 9
Once back in the TARDIS the Doctor asked to see my journal again I agreed. While he was reading it I paced in the library. Rose snuggled up against him and glanced at the pictures. They got a few pages in when the Doctor stopped and commented. "I know him. I can't place him but I am certain I have met him before." Rose agreed and the Doctor continued to read, it was not long before he was done. The Doctor was clearly agitated by the fact that he couldn't remember who the guy was and the name I had for him was obviously not what the Doctor knew him by.
When everyone turned in for the night I sat on my bed and fiddled with a small machine. It had stopped sending or receiving anything but I knew that if the other one was not destroyed then JoeMarie would have it. My fingers moved mechanically as I quickly got lost in thought.
Oh how much I missed Jo. It had been years but she was my daughter and only a handful of people actually knew I had a daughter. I hoped she hadn't forgotten me. I knew that somewhere out there among all the many planets she was there, waiting for me. Unless she had given up on me and how I hoped that was not the case. I love JoeMarie and I wanted to hold her close to me.
I would have sat for hours and thought of my little girl, but I heard a cloister bell. I jumped up and sprinted to the control room where I found the Doctor and Rose. "What's going on?" I asked having to almost yell to be heard. "I don't know," The Doctor replied, while furiously hitting buttons and taping the screen. I stepped to a coral strut and rubbed it asking mentally what the problem was. I was shocked when I got the answer. I was so shocked that I didn't even hear the cloister bell stop ringing.
I almost fainted. "No no no" I just kept repeating that. I turned to the Doctor and said "we have to stop her; we can't go where she is taking us, and we can't." "Alrighty then." He said as he jumped at the controls. That was nice no questions there. I knew he would ask later but right now that didn't matter. I hurried to help him but I couldn't do anything. Almost before I knew it we landed hard.
I knew without asking that we would not be able to take off again but I had to try. "Can we go, or is there an issue with that?" I asked scared of the answer. "No, she's out of power needs to recharge." The Doctor answered. "What is wrong with being here?" Rose asked. "For that matter where is here?" I turned to her and said why don't you go out there and see for yourself." With a confused look on her face Rose stepped to the door and pushed opened it. She looked around outside and seeing nothing objectionable she left the TARDIS and the Doctor and I followed.
We were on a planet that did not seem to have any people, but the Doctor knew where we were. "
