Hey guys, once again I am sorry for being late, I have no excuse. Anyway onto the chapters, first I'm gonna address one thing. This first chapter will be shorter than the average chapter because it is just the genin exam. I have a twist on the exam that you all may or may not like. Well either way let us get on with it eh?

Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura fell into line behind Kakashi. Kakashi looking over his shoulder smiled.

"Well, are you three ready? This test is not going to be a cake walk, you will be tested against someone who is stronger than even I am. As to who that is I can hazard a guess you guys know. Don't worry though he's not going to go overboard with you three, he's not like that." Sasuke blanched at figuring it out, he looked to Naruto and Sakura and shook his head. He has to be in the zone for this battle he can't afford to be off by any margin. Naruto took Kakashi's words with a grain of salt and made sure his ties on his wrist guard were tight. Sakura felt nervous, she knew the reputation of Kakashi and she couldn't think of many people stronger than him. The four people arrived at the training ground to Itachi in a handstand on top of a log.

"Kakashi-sempai, you are late by fifteen minutes, I will be sure to let your sensei know about this." Kakashi laughed lightly and sat atop one of the other two logs. Itachi bending at the elbows pushed off and landed on his feet from a back flip. Itachi stood and brushed himself off, he looked up into the eyes of all three of his students and smiled.

"Yeah, you know how it is Itachi-kun, I was lost on the road of life." Itachi sent the man a glare and focused on his students.

"No excuses Kakashi, now then Naruto-kun, Sasuke-kun, Sakura-chan. Today you will go through a test to see if you deserve the rank of Genin. Are you ready? This is your last chance to withdraw if you feel like it." The three shook their heads in a negative manner and looked to their sensei with eyes of determination.

"Good, if you had I would have had you expelled from the Shinobi order. Now, prepare yourself Genin, your mission is to come at me with the intent to kill," Itachi's hair started to bristle and the air got colder. The three kids looked up to see his fully developed sharingan shown, the three felt a pang of fear as an image of a large Raven appeared behind Itachi, its wings spread out and its maw open.

"If you can touch me even for the briefest of seconds, you become Genin. Now, begin!" Sasuke vanished into the woods along with Sakura but Naruto stood there. Naruto took his bow off his back and held it with both hands. Naruto looked to the man in front of him and he narrowed his eyes, Itachi replied with a similar stare as they stood in place. The sound of a twig snapping started the bout. Naruto spun around bow in hand, he pushed out with his right hand the tip of the bow almost glancing the ex ANBU Captain. Itachi impressed with his speed immediately ducked under a thrust with the tip of the bow, Itachi sent his leg in a downward thrust taking Naruto's feet out from under him. Naruto rolling with the hit preformed a cartwheel and stood straight with his bow in his hands.

"Impressive reaction skills, for a child." Naruto sneered and he rushed at Itachi, Naruto threw blow after blow; left thrust, right swing, left swing, spinning waist strike, double handed high blow, it was all ineffective. Naruto let out a snarl and he notched an arrow and as quick as he could drew the bow and fired. Itachi caught off guard with the arrow barely caught it by its shaft. Itachi inspected the bow, a simple dull tip but with enough power it was easy enough to kill with. Itachi tensed his hand and the arrow snapped in half. Tossing the remains to the ground he looked at Naruto who looked just as riled up as before.

"Ninja art lesson one, Tai jutsu." Itachi vanished and appeared infront of Naruto, before he could react Itachi buried his knee into Naruto's stomach and brought his hands down onto Naruto's back in a hammer fist strike. Naruto clenching his gut curled up on the ground.

"Your weakness Naruto-kun, you lack the pain tolerance of others your age because of you laxness with hand to hand combat. You rely on your bow too much and that is your downfall." Itachi vanished leaving Naruto on the ground curled up in pain.

Sasuke watched Itachi decimate Naruto, of course he wasn't surprised but to see this boy who showed skill taken apart really put things in perspective for him.

"Ninja art lesson two: Ninjutsu." Sasuke barely had time to react launching from the tree branch he was in, he leapt upwards narrowly avoiding a large fireball. Itachi relaxed his hand from his mouth and let a brief chuckle out.

"Excellent dodge otouto, just as I showed you." Itachi smiled seeing Sasuke running through hand seals he retrieved a kunai and prepared to dodge and deflect.

"Katon: Hōsenka no Jutsu!" Itachi deflected each fire covered Shuriken as if it was boring and tedious. Itachi's eyes widened as he immediately back flipped landing on Sakura's spine he heard the girls wind leave her body.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk, that was a nice play you two, but I am afraid not enough. Now, time to begin Ninja art lesson three: Genjutsu." Sasuke's eyes widened as his brother vanished in a flock of crows, he looked at Sakura only to see her gone. HE put his fingers together in the Tora sign and burst his chakra.

"KAI!" He smiled softly seeing Sakura laying on the ground but he immediately noticed Naruto walking into the clearing but something wasn't right. Sasuke's eyes widened as he saw what wasn't right, Naruto was holding his right hand to his chest and his left arm was missing from the shoulder down. Sasuke ran towards Naruto and immediately Naruto fell into his arms.

"Why Sasuke-san, why did you not save me, why did you allow me to die like them?" Sasuke's eyes widened as his mothers impaled corpse and his fathers headless body shambled into the clearing. Sasuke's eyes watered and he let out a loud yell of pain.

Itachi looked at his brother on the ground, he hoped his brother could make it through this Genjutsu, after all Iatsu Sharingan is not something to be used lightly but he had to make sure the three were ready for the real world and for any situation.

"I'm sorry otouto, but you're going to have to suffer through this." Itachi looked down at the frozen scream and look of terror on Sakura's face. Itachi picked the two up and used the shunshin to bring them next to their companion. Naruto's eyes widened as he looked upon the two in shock, his eyes falling upon their sensei and his smirk.

"Naruto-kun, it seems your team fails this test, be prepared to be cast out of the Shinobi system." Naruto slowly pushed himself up off of the ground and he slapped both Sakura and Sasuke's cheeks. The two snapped from their Genjutsu and looked to their teammate.

"Sakura-san, Sasuke-san, we need to work together to get him, it is our only shot." Sasuke and Sakura nodded in agreement. Sasuke brushed himself off and took a stance, Sakura jumped back ten feet and took out shuriken and kunai alike, Naruto retreated to the tree line and knocked an arrow.

"Now let's do this team!" Naruto let his arrow fly, Itachi caught it but Sasuke was immediately in his guard. Itachi swung his arm down and slapped Sasuke's leg away but immediately shifted to the right a kunai cutting some of his hair. Itachi backflipped into the air avoiding two arrows that would have pierced his heart and his neck. He spun in mid air his left leg lashing out kicking Sasuke back down, before Sasuke could even move with the kick Itachi had stolen a kunai from mid air and deflected the projectiles Sakura had thrown from mid air. He caught another arrow from mid air but this one had a tag on its handle.

"Boom." Naruto smiled as the arrow exploded, Itachi landed on the ground the right sleeve of his shirt torn and slightly burned. Itachi activated his sharingan and stopped Sasuke's kick, Sakura's kunai volley, and Naruto's two arrows in the blink of an eye. He knocked Sasuke out with a knife hand and appeared behind Sakura, he punched her temple knocking her out and he spun with a kick his foot colliding into Naruto's head knocking him out.

"Ma, Itachi-kun, it seems they got you! Shall we wait for them to wake up, or are you going to do it now?" Itachi sighed deeply and stretched his neck cracking it.

"I'll wake them up now sempai." Itachi opened their eyes one by one and woke them up with the Sharingan. When all three were awake Kakashi joined Itachi on the ground.

"You three preformed above and beyond sempai and my expectations. I am pleased to announce the official formation of Team 7. Congratulations, Kakashi-sempai, will you please handle the report? I have to be at a meeting in five minutes with the council. Well then Sasuke-kun, Sakura-chan, Naruto-kun, you three today are my pupils and sempai's pupils. I expect you three here tomorrow bright and early for training, do not expect to slack off or to be given it easy. I will see you all tomorrow." Itachi vanished into a murder of crows leaving the four there by themselves.

"Well, you heard Itachi-kun, I will be taking my leave, ja!" Kakashi pops out of existence with a burst of smoke leaving the three ragged and tormented Genin to themselves. Naruto immediately leaves to go rest and Sakura leaves with Sasuke.

"This is the dawn of something new, watch me haha, I will make you proud." Sasuke and Naruto both say together.
