Alrighty guys so today marks my second chapter of Naruto's day off, the first was the date with Ty Lee, so that means chapter ten marks the Chunin Selection Examinations. Alrighty let's get to it.

Team seven walked through the gate, they were disheveled but they were ok. There were murmurs at first, whisperings in question of Naruto's whereabouts. Team seven dismissed them as someone who just didn't realize Naruto was here. Naruto's look had changed when it came to his head, his eyes now without any shades of blue not completely violet like his mothers, his long red hair was down and cascading down his neck, his hair now completely red no hints of blonde. Kakashi wondered what had spurred it on but ever since the bridge Naruto refused to wear his headband, he refused to speak with Kakashi or Itachi, and he thought they weren't looking he would send them looks that could almost curse the soul of a man. Kakashi just sighed, the red head became an enigma in a matter of days, but now that he was healed from his previous injury they made it home in half the time it took before. Itachi musing similar thoughts wondered what was going through Sasuke's head, for some reason ever since he saw the body of Haku he had treated Itachi with almost disdain. Sasuke was in his own thoughts reflecting on Nami, what had happened with Naruto on the bridge, it was a massacre but he was sure, he had been pierced by an arrow as well, Sasuke felt it enter his lung. So why wasn't he dead or scarred from it hitting him? He wasn't sure but it had something to deal with that bow he had summoned, he was just worried about his teammate. Naruto had started treating them differently, he openly spoke against thir teachers, he confided in Sakura as if she was a dear friends, and he treated Sasuke like he was a brother, it was just different and it worried Sasuke. Sakura smiled widely, Naruto had opened up to her talking to her of what he saw and did, told her of his dealings in the Warring Nations, and even told her of how he felt about Ty Lee. Sakura believed that Naruto was lost right now, he had seen what his sensei's had done to a child no less than their age, and to see the people you relied on for protections destroy a young boy? There is no true recovery of your trust and confidence in the person. When the five people had reached the Hokage's office Minato dismissed Sakura and Sasuke but kept Naruto, Itachi, and Kakashi in the room.
"So when Naruto-kun woke up he shot an enemy ninja."
"He was there to warn us."
"We took him into the forest for interrogation." Naruto's face contorted into rage.
"You mean torture!" Kakashi tried to glance off that blow to his psyche but he almost broke from hearing it.
"We found out that Gato had intended to betray Zabuza and kill everyone on the bridge." Naruto growled out loudly.
"Which wouldn't have been necessary if you wouldn't have broken that boy!" Minato slammed his fist on the table and had an icy look that promised pain if they didn't remain silent.
"Enough! Naruto, remain silent, I will deal with your situation when we are done with the mission statement!" Naruto scoffed and crossed his arms but true to Minato's words, he stood silent. Kakashi went on to report his battle with Zabuza, how he broke the man hoping to make the man mad with rage but it almost lead to the death of his squad. Itachi gave his report on Hidan, the abilities and his weapon both unconventional, but both very deadly.
"If it weren't for me using my Mangekyo Sharingan I would have died Hokage-sama. We need to be wary about this cult, Jashin, they are very dangerous." Minato nodded and motioned for the two to leave, as soon as they did Minato stood swiftly and walked in front of Naruto. Naruto flinched expecting a hand to the cheek in either palm or fist like his old masters had but instead, Minato fell to his knees dragging Naruto with him clutching onto Naruto as if he was precious cargo. Minato smiled and stood releasing his son.
"Thank god you are alright musuko, I got Kakashi's message and thought you had died, I was so afraid. I'm proud of you protecting your teammates as such, but please, don't be reckless anymore. It is no longer just me, Kakashi-kun, and Mako-chan that worry over you, but Ty Lee-chan as well. You owe it to her to make it back from your missions alive and to your teammates to protect them. That is what it means to be Shinobi. We are a family, not a bunch of hired thugs and murderers. Everything we do we have a purpose, whether to protect, destroy, or build, we do it with the love of our family and village. That is the Will of Fire that was passed down from the Shodaime to me. Now talk to me, what happened on the mission to make your eyes fill with anger and contempt for your sensei's?" Naruto spent the next hour talking to his father about Haku, his oath, and his decision for the future. Minato smiled softly, during Naruto's talks with him he saw it, he saw his wife in Naruto. For so long he thought Naruto was a withdrawn version of him, but Naruto's passion, his love, his determination and strong will. That was all his mothers, and he is damn proud of it.
"The technique was one oba-chan made, it can focus on the intentions of someone's heart, similar to the Kongō Fūsa haha had. If it sense's darkness in the persons heart it will hurt them, depending on the size of the potency of the darkness in their heart is what decides the damage that will be done. I saw they hit Sakura-chan and Sasuke-san, but they were uninjured." Minato furrowed his brow.
"What about Itachi-kun and Kakashi-kun?" Naruto sighed.
"My arrows hit them, Kakashi-sensei didn't realize it but that gash he had on his side that was one of my arrows flying past him. His darkness is great, but Itachi, my arrow pierced his heart and didn't even hurt him, so he doesn't possess much darkness to even think about." Minato nodded and smiled to his son.
"I'm proud of you, now go out and have some fun, you have the rest of the day off." Naruto nodded and went to leave the room but he stopped and looked at his father.
"I can tell you anything right?" Minato nodded.
"I saw haha, I did die, but haha reached through death and used her energy to activate my bloodline, she controlled the Kongō Fūsa and used them to seal my injuries till they healed. She saved my life once again." Minato looked shocked but his features softened.
"What did you think of her?" Naruto smiled and clutched his hand over his shirt, Minato thought him gripping at his heart, but Naruto was holding onto the locket his aunt had given him.
"She was amazing, beautiful, full of love and compassion. She was amazing, her soul was so pure even after everything that had happened or that she had done, the Shinigami could hold her no more, she told me that one of the Divine Kami's intervened and took her from him. She told me she will wait for us on the other side." Naruto smiled softly and he heard the sobs of his father, Naruto knew they were sobs of happiness not sadness. He left his father to his musings and went home to bathe properly for the first time in over a month.

Mako sighed deeply feeling lonely, she had been waiting for the day to end so Minato would be home. They had tried to hide it from Naruto, but the two were in a relationship and Minato didn't know how Naruto would react. She decided that she would tell Naruto about the relationship the next time they talked, she didn't realize how soon that would be. The sound of the door opening and closing had startled her, she drew a knife from the cabinet but when she saw who it was she dropped the knife and almost tackle hugged him.
"Thank god! You're ok!" She smothered him with hugs and even a couple kisses on his cheeks.
"You had me so worried, when I heard from Minato-kun that you had almost died I couldn't sleep at night. Thank god you're ok." Naruto smiled up at her and stood.
"I'm fine now, I met my mother when I died, she saved me from death. Even after death she is watching over me." Mako smiled and wiped her tears from her eyes and hugged him once again. She stepped back and saw the scar, her fingers tracing it she started to well up with tears again until she heard Naruto try to suppress a laugh. Mako got a glint in her eye and she tackled him assaulting his sides with her fingers, she watched him squirming and laughing on the ground. The front door burst open and Ty Lee smiled widely and when she saw Mako tickling Naruto she immediately took off her shoes and joined in on the punishment. Naruto was dying from laughter, his sides hurt so much but in some strange way he enjoyed it, it felt like a family. Naruto squirmed out from under them and the moment he stood he picked Ty Lee up and hugged her tightly.
"I missed you Ty-chan." Ty Lee was filled with warmth and smiled hugging him tightly as if he would vanish if she didn't.
"You scared me you dumbass, but yeah, I guess I missed you too." Naruto smiled and unconsciously buried his nose into the crook of her neck. A stern cough brought them out of their embrace and Naruto saw Mako with a smirk on her face.
"Oh your Otou-san will love these pictures, great blackmail material." Mako started laughing at the expense of the two teens. Naruto led Ty Lee to his room and shut the door.
"I'll only be a few minutes, I need to bathe and then we can go." Ty Lee nodded and laid down on the bed, she heard the shower cut on, the water splashing, Naruto's humming. Ty Lee drifted off to sleep, Naruto walked out dressed and clean and saw her asleep on the bed, he pulled the covers back and covered her up. Tucking her in he kissed her forehead softly and went to leave, Ty Lee unconsciously grabbed his hand and snuggled with it. Naruto smiled softly and layed down next to her holding her close to him, Ty Lee feeling the warmth smiled and snuggled in closer to his body. Naruto smiled caressing her hair, he always wondered what she would look like without her braid, so being the person he is, he undid her braid and smoothed her hair down. Naruto was stunned into silence staring at her sleeping face, he could only mutter one thing.
"Kami." Ty Lee's eyes fluttered open and the two looked into each others eyes, they could feel each others breath across their skin. They started to close their eyes moving closer to each other, their lips almost touching. The door flew open and Mako walked in with a plate of cookies for the two and she blushed when she saw what was going on.
"N-N-Naruto-kun?! Ty-chan?! What are you doing!" Naruto and Ty Lee looked at each other their eyes widening and their blushes enveloping their bodies. Naruto was flung off the bed by Ty Lee freaking out, with a loud bump and a groan Ty Lee immediately got off the bed and kneeled next to Naruto holding his hand freaking out. Naruto in his daze smiled up at her.
"Don't worry Kami-sama, I'm alright." Naruto closed his eyes and fell unconscious, Naruto's words made Ty Lee blush harder and she was stunned stiff. Mako giggled seeing the two and she picked Naruto up and laid him in bed.
"He will probably be out for an hour, if you want to lay down and take a nap it's ok, I won't tell." Mako giggled but Ty Lee climbed into the bed and cuddled with him blushing his words still echoing through her head. She couldn't believe what he called her, but here she was cuddling with her boyfriend in his bed. If you would have told her two months ago she would be with someone who she truly liked and didn't flirt with just for fun, she would have scoffed and paid you no attention, but now? She would believe every word.

Naruto woke up, he felt a pressure against his body, warm and soft. He smiled savoring this feeling and wrapped his arms around whatever it was, he would just have to sleep for a little while more with whatever this thing was, it was heavenly feeling. When it shifted and Naruto felt a face press against his chest and a groan the light from the moon reflected into the room and washed over it's face. Naruto saw Ty Lee and Ty Lee saw Naruto. Ty Lee growled and immediately jumped him smashing her lips against his, she climbed onto his waist kissing him feverishly running her hands up his chest. Naruto put his hands on her waist and kissed her back, he rolled them over and his hands started to run up her sides. Ty Lee lightly slapped his hands telling him no, Naruto nodded and he continued to kiss her deeply, but once again fate could be cruel. Naruto's door flung open Minato's eyes going wide seeing his son in between the legs of his girlfriend on the bed, his first thought went straight to, they were fucking. Minato blushed badly and just tried to sputter out some words but Mako snaked her arms around his waist bringing him back to reality. Naruto got off his bed and sat on the side, Ty Lee worked on re-braiding her hair much to Naruto's dismay. The two stood in utter silence, blushes written across all of their faces, Mako sighed and she grabbed Minato's nipples through his shirt and pinched them earning a yelp from the man.
"What was that for?!" Mako giggled like a school girl and saw the two teens in front of her laughing too, the four went downstairs for a dinner and when they had finished they convened into the living room.
"Naruto-kun, there is something I've been wanting to tell you." Minato raised his eyebrow to Mako's words.
"Minato-kun and I have been in a relationship for a long time, five years now, and I want you to be aware. I love your otou-san and I want to be here for you. I'm not trying to replace your okaa-chan, but I want to be there for you. I realize that we should have told you when you got home, but we didn't know what you would do so we were frightened. Tonight I take a chance, I want you to tell us what you think." Minato looked shocked and worried, but he was curious as to what his son would do. Imagine their surprise when Naruto started to chuckle, then broke out in a dead laugh.
"Thank god you two are together, I thought I'd have to tell you what haha told me to say to you." Minato raised an eyebrow.
"What? What did she say?" Naruto chuckled rubbing the tear from his eye.
"She, she said, 'god damnit Mina-kun, get your fucking ass in gear and get some booty and a good womans heart. We still had that dream of a big family, and mine or not those will be my grandbabies so fuck her silly.'" Minato blushed a red that rivaled Naruto's hair, as did Mako. Minato shook his head and let out a single laugh and he sighed.
"That woman always did have a way for words, eh?" Mako nodded and she snuggled against Minato's side. Not to be outdone Ty Lee curled up into Naruto's lap and laid back against his chest. Mako huffed her cheeks but Minato coughed bringing the attention back.
"I got good news, it seems the treatments are working and the Chakra Cancer is receding, it is slow, but the doctor believes that in one years time the disease should be in full remission." Everyone smiled and congratulated him and Minato just looked flustered. This is what he always wanted, this is his family, and he would do anything for them.

So, this concludes Naruto's day off pt 2. Alrighty guys, well you know what comes next, Chunin Exams! This will be fun, I'm throwing my own twist to them as you all should know, but I'm sticking with some other ideas I had so yeah, stay tuned and remember to vote in the poll! Later!
