Naruto and the group of Genin all came to a stop in front of the forest of death, it was aptly named due to its dangerous inhabitants, notably large tigers, humongous man eating leeches, and poisoned plants that look just like regular plants. The description Anko gave them on their way over to the forest was very graphic, and disturbing needless to say. They looked to the over grown forest sealed behind a large chain link fence with several doors attached. Anko clapped her hands together bringing the attention of the Genin's to her. Most of the boys were paying more attention to her voluptuous breasts that were barely contained by her fishnet top that resided beneath a tan trench coat.
"Alright my cute little chickadee's, as of right now you are being informed of an update. Due to having a low volume of students this year we are doing something special. Based upon the intelligence we have on each and everyone of your squads we have assigned six of you squads same colors. One squad will be marked white and will participate in the preliminaries automatically, they will be escorted by me and three Chunin to the tower to await their time to fight. Now if I call you up come and receive an object from the table behind the curtain. Kiba Inuzuka!" Kiba trotted up to Anko and gave her a mock salute, heading into the tent he came back out as if nothing happened.
"Ino Yamanaka!" The young blonde ran towards the tent and just as Kiba left with no change.
"Neji Hyuuga!" Naruto looked to see a boy a little older than him with long brown hair, a beige jacket and navy shorts walk up to the tent, he enetered and exited swiftly.
"Kankuro Sabaku!" A boy in a black jumpsuit with war pain on his face entered the tent and left it with a painful expression on his face.
"Kabuto Yakushi!" The boy that was interrupted by Ibiki in the last exam walked to the tent and returned to his team swiftly.
"Naruto Uzumaki!" Naruto felt nervous, he walked towards the tent slowly, when he opened the flap the tent was empty except one person.
"Hey Naruto-kun!" Naruto's eyes widened, it was Mako!
"Mako-san, what are you doing here?!" She smiled and waved him over.
"Your father asked me to come and help out, so I came. This will hurt only a little bit Naruto-kun." Before he could react she grabbed his right hand and plunged a needle into it, one large enough to be used as a turkey baster. HE felt something be injected underneath his skin, he looked to her worriedly but seeing the loving look in her eyes he knew he had nothing to be worried about.
"These are transmitters, each team has one. Take one of the devices on the table, they read the signature of the devices in your hand. To complete this test you have to track down the one with an identical signature as yours and scan it. However the team to be scanned will be disqualified, so make sure whomever you get, you be careful Naruto-kun." Naruto nodded and gave her a hug, he walked out of the tent and back to his team. Sasuke shot him a glance but he waved it off.
"I'll tell you when we get into the forest, ok?" Sasuke and Sakura nodded.
"Good, all teams are done, Jigo Hiroshi, your team will be escorted to the middle tower to await your preliminary matches with the teams that complete the exams. Now, you all have five days to make it to the middle of the tower with your objectives complete. Killing is allowed but frowned upon. IF you call for us we will not come, if you believe you are important enough for us to rescue, you are wrong. The moment you step in there your Killed in Action papers are signed and will be upon my desk until I turn in the teams who died to the Hokage. Be careful, and have fun kiddos!" With that several Chunin went around to each squad and one by one they led them to different spots along the fence line of the forest. When they arrived at their gate Team 7 nodded to their Chunin and he Shunshined to the beginning area. A large buzzing sound was released and a red light above the fence lit up, a second buzz lit and the locks were undone on the door, with the third buzz the doors flung open and the teams flew into the forest with a speed unknown.

Ino Yamanaka was having a bad day, not only was she berated by a Jonin, she was led across town only for some strange woman to give her a shot and told her that something was injected into her skin! However that wasn't the cherry on shit creek, the cherry was that five minutes into it and they ran into Team 8.
"Ino-chan, you an I both know that we are the two with the chips in our hands. IF you surrender we won't hurt you, but if you resist, we will take you apart." Ino scoffed and was about to yell but Chouji grabbed her and flung her out of the way of a mountain of bugs that would have consumed her chakra. Kiba cursed and Hinata activated her Byakugan, charging in together Hinata and Kiba started to fight with Ino and Chouji, however they severely underestimated Shikamaru's strength. In a single moment the three attackers were caught by Shikamaru's Kageshibari no Jutsu. Not many new the difference between this jutsu and its predecessors but the difference is quite blunt. The Kageshibari no Jutsu completely paralyzes a target while its derivatives allow the user to control the movements of its target. Shikamaru was the first in a generation to use the original technique over the newer versions, but it was still quite effective. Motioning to Chouji he held the technique giving his all, the jutsu was straining on his reserves. Chouji and Ino walked over to Kiba and pulled out their scanner, they got it within range and a five second timer started. Shikamaru cursed his luck as a cloud started to come over the clearing. Five, the cloud started to cover the outer rim of the clearing, Four, the cloud encroached towards the Genin, Three, the shadow touched Shikamaru's back, Two, the shadow reached to the bridge of Shikmamaru's nose, One, the shadow encapsulated Shikamaru breaking his hold of the technique, a loud ringing noise came over the field as the jutsu broke, the device had its information, and they needed to get out of dodge. Kiba reacting sent a back handed fist into Ino's skull rocketing her a good five meters away. Now free of the Nara's technique Team 8 launched a full out assault, Kiba now focusing on Chouji and Hinata going after Shikamaru the team was pulled tought. Shina released a swarm to attack Ino, the swarm landing on her skin fell through Ino, realizing it was a bunshin Shino turned around only to be wracked across the skull with a double fisted hammer fist. A loud crack and a scream of pain erupted across the field. Turning Kiba thought Hinata had been hurt but it was in fact not her, Ino's right hand bent at an unnatural angle clutched to her chest. Unfortunately for her the chip slipped against the bone and now lodged into her wrist bone collective causing unmeasurable pain as the metal object scrapped across her bones she continued to scream. Kiba's attention torn he turned to see Chouji's fist in his face.
"Oh, shi-" In an instant Chouji's fist grew to immaculate size rocketing Kiba into a sturdy oak tree. When Kiba impacted the tree a loud crack resounded across the battlefield, Shino and Hinata worried for their teammate turned to run to his aid but found themselves unable to move.
"Kageshibari no Jutsu success." The two conscious members of Team 8 were caught by surprise, their eyes shifting up they saw a windmill shuriken folded and flying up into the air, the sun refracting off of it and onto the ground.
"Shintenshin no Jutsu!" Ino using her left hand guided her technique to Hinata, once captured Shikamaru let Hinata's body go. While the distraction was happening Shino thought he could slip some insects to Shikamaru to attack but he was met with the same fate of his teammate with a large fist to his face. Ino looking down at herself blushed, she could feel Hinata's body and realized just how 'far behind' she was. She used the Jyuuken to disable the joints of Hinata's body making her collapse into a heap. Returning to her body Ino stood and looked at the weak body of Hinata's, she walked over to Hinata and lifted her onto her back.
"Chouji, grab the other two, we don't want anything happening to them, we will move them to a safe place then leave them." Chouji nodded lifting the other two onto his shoulders they left towards the tower, they figure the closer into the forest they got the safer they would be.

Turnign around hearing a stick snapping Naruto saw the team consisting of the silver haired ninja from earlier. His two teammates on each side of him, faster than Kabuto could start talking Naruto notched an arrow and had it aimed right on Kabuto's heart.
"Don't say a single word, Sasuke get the scanner from my jacket and go scan the silver haired one with the glasses hand." Sasuke reached into Naruto's jacket pocket and retrieved the small scanner, walking up to KAbuto he scanned the boys hand till the scanner beeped, hearing it beep Kabuto flung into motion wrapping his hand around Sasuke's throat from behind in a headlock.
"What will you do now Naruto-kun, if you try anything dear Sasuke-kun will die!" KAbuto was about to start laughing when he saw Sasuke fade from sight, looking down he saw a log in his grasp. Kabuto cursed but then everything stopped his pain, looking down he saw a serrated arrow sticking out of his back. The Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura from in front of him faded as he peeked over his shoulder to see a simple mirror Genjutsu made him get shot. Falling to the ground Kabuto's partners growled and charged but two arrows to the head and a kunai to the neck silenced them forever.
"The scanner is red Naruto, this wasn't our team." Naruto cursed his luck as he looked around the scene, he heard cackling as out of the woods the Kusogakura Shinobi walked out of the thick brush.
"Kukukuku, why hello there Sasuke-kun, Naruto-kun, Sakura-chan." With out a moment hesitation Naruto fired shot after shot towards the Kuso nin, but only to find each shot masterfully dodged, every Genjutsu Sakura threw was immediately broken and Sasuke was being outclassed in Taijutsu, whoever this person was, they are leagues ahead of Team 7.
"Is that all you have boys?" Sasuke let loose a snarl and charged at the ninja throwing his Shuriken. The Ninja dodged them but just as Sasuke wanted they wrapped the ninja to a tree.
"Katon: Ryūka no Jutsu!" Fire speeding down the line was accentuated by Naruto pulling back a bow of silver.
"Shinkyū: Ten'nosabaki." Naruto made a large golden arrow and it traveled down the wire towards the Ninja the same as Sasuke's flame. The flames hit the Ninja and a loud pitched scream resounded around the area, but when the arrow hit everything went quiet. When the flames extinguished there was no body, just ash.
"Kukukuku, that was impressive Naruto-Kun, tell me, where did you get that technique." Naruto flung himself around seeing the Ninja relatively unscathed. Naruto knocking his bow once again drawing a golden arrow looked down, a hand through his gut and out of his back. Naruto's eyes wide open and in a scream of pain the Ninja wrenched his hand out of Naruto's stomach. A loud roar and a deafening crash resounded around the area as a large snake appeared. A woman appeared from its stomache poising to strike the Ninja, but being prepared for it the Ninja moved to the right, grabbed Anko's arm and snapped it like a twig. He brought his leg into her chin and a sickening snap was heard throughout the forest. Anko Mitarashi was unconscious in less than a moment from leaving the snakes mouth.
"Oops, I think I put too much power behind that move. Now, to finish our business up here." In less than a second ORochimaru was upon Naruto and slammed his hand into Naruto's chest, believing he was the holder of the Kyuubi used the Gogyō Fūin on Naruto.
"NARUTO!" Orochimaru appeared in front of Sakura and looked her in the eyes and in a moment she dropped, encapsuled in an S-rank Genjutsu of his own creation. Looking to Sasuke his head detatches from his neck racing towards Sasuke's body, he would have bitten Sasuke's neck if it weren't for a bliunding Golden Flash appearing in front of him and knocking him back. Sliding next to Anko he grabbed her and vanished below the ground, Minato let out a loud curse. He looked to his sons team and a look of horror was upon his face. You see no one knew this except two people, one dead, one alive. Naruto did not hold the Kyuubi, he held no demons, the demon was taken down with Kushina when Naruto was born, in other words, Naruto was dying, and fast too. Minato flashed and gathered the three Genin, and appeared inside of the tower. Worried for his sons life he immediately barged into the medical center at the tower, arriving quickly enough for the attending Surgeon to still be awake.
"HELP MY SON IS DYING!" The doctors frantically started to go to work but when he was about to lay Naruto on a gurney he thrust something into his fathers hands.
"W-W-We d-did it chi-chi." Naruto closed his eyes falling limp in his fathers arms, Minato hurriedly laid Naruto down on the gurney and pocketed the transmitter, using a little chakra he used it to summon Kakashi.
"Sensei?! What are you doing here, I was told that I would see my team!" Minato looked into Kakashi's eyes and Kakashi saw pain and anger in them.
"Gather your best and head into the forest, Orochimaru is on the prowl." Kakashi nodded and immediately vanished to go and gather his old ANBU squad. Minato stomped on the ground and six black figures rose from the ground, no distinctive markings, just black figures.
" ACE squad, head into the forest, locate ORochimaru, exterminate with extreme prejudice. Dog and his original squad will be on support for this. GO NOW!" The six vanished, no swirl of leaves, no after traces, just gone. Minato was worried, this felt personal to him, he was instantly worried and flashed to his home, running around like a mad man he was looking for Mako and found her passed out on the ground in a pile of vomit. Minato grabbed her up and shook her gently, she opened her eyes slowly.
"Sorry Mina-kun, I think I ate something bad." Her skin deathly pale Minato held her close, flashing to the hospital he felt his whole body start to flare with pain. In the hospital he looked around, doctors saw him and started to run to him and Mako.
"P-Please help h-her first." The doctors got to moving her and Minato watching them taking her to ICU passed out.
