Enjoy :)
Scorpius Malfoy had gotten used to the feeling of Albus Potter sleeping in his bed. He had never particularly enjoyed sharing anything, growing up an only child had done that to him, yet he realized he greatly enjoyed the feeling of waking up with the warm body of his boyfriend next to him. Every night since the first night Albus had apparated to his dorm, he had returned to spend the night with Scorpius. There were many nights when Albus complained that he had too much work to do, what with the end of term exams and assignments coming up, but no matter what he said during the day, every night he would appear, smiling sheepishly, and asking if he could stay. Needless to say, Scorpius never turned him away, although the sleepovers were wearing on Albus, and Scorpius could tell. The two usually stayed up late into the night talking, or engaging in other activities. This didn't bother Scorpius, because he could always sleep in, but Albus had a full schedule, and insisted on going to every class. He dragged himself out of bed every morning in a zombie-like fashion. Sullivan and Albus had gotten into the habit of walking to the classes they shared in the mornings, so a few times a week Sullivan would stick his hand through the curtains of the four poster, poking whatever was within reach, to remind Albus that he needed to get up, or they were going to be late.
This morning was one such morning. Scorpius felt a sharp jab in the small of his back and a loud whisper "pssst".
"Ugh." Scorpius groaned in reply. He was spooning the Gryffindor, which had protected the other boy from the rude awakening. Scorpius pushed himself up on his elbows, looking down at his boyfriend, who was still sleeping soundly. He looked so peaceful, Scorpius didn't want to wake him, but he knew Albus would be angry if he missed class, so he shook Albus' shoulder gently.
"Time to get up," he said softly. Albus stirred and sat up.
"Wha time's it." He said sleepily, rubbing his eyes.
Scorpius smiled. Albus was not a morning person in any sense of the word. He looked adorable first thing in the morning, always rubbing his eyes and looking around in confusion.
"Dunno, but Sullivan just gave me a final warning."
"Crap." Albus groaned, and quickly threw off the covers.
Scorpius sat up and dangled his feet off the edge of the bed, stretching his arms and giving a loud yawn, as he watched Albus scrambling around, getting dressed.
"You don't have to go to class you know." Scorpius said, as he did every morning his Gryffindor left him.
"I do." Albus reminded him, pulling on his shoes, and looking at his reflection in the mirror next to Scorpius' bed.
"You look great." Scorpius told him. This was apparently the right thing to say because Albus leaned down and gave him a soft kiss. The two snogged only for a moment, before Sullivan loudly cleared his throat.
Albus pulled away with a grin.
"I'll see you later." He said, grabbing his bag and dashing out of the door behind Sullivan.
Scorpius sighed and laid back down in his bed.
His thoughts were swimming with Albus. He couldn't get the boy out of his head. Scorpius had been worried about spending so much time together. He had been afraid that Albus would get sick of him, or that he would get annoyed with Albus. But neither of those had happened. If anything the more time they spent together, the harder it was to be apart.
But Scorpius was worried. He knew that Albus had to be sacrificing a lot to spend so much time with him. Scorpius wondered how much time he spent with his cousin, or his Gryffindor friends now that he spent every night in the dungeons. He couldn't imagine there was much time left. Sullivan had also made some comments about how Albus had seemed distracted in the classes they shared.
Scorpius knew that the selfless thing to do would be to stop taking up so much of Albus' time, but Albus didn't seem to be interested in that option either. Still, Scorpius knew that Albus was exhausted. Between classes and working on Operescahog and then their nightly activities what he really needed was a break. Scorpius guiltily looked at the large clock on the wall across the room. His class had started 5 minutes ago. He was starting to feel more guilt in skipping classes than he used to. If he left now he could make it to class in less than 20 minutes, he thought, he could still make it to over half of the lecture. With a resigned sigh, Scorpius laid back down in his bed. Maybe tomorrow, he decided.
Albus walked into ancient runes with Sullivan, trying to stifle a yawn. Ancient runes was usually his favorite class, and he normally was so interested in the material that he stayed after class to ask their professor more questions, however, the last few weeks he began dreading his 8am class, which was inconveniently placed far from both the Gryffindor and Slytherin common rooms. He had to be out of bed by at least 7:30 to make it in time. Thankfully, since he began walking with Sullivan he was almost never late, but paying attention and taking diligent notes proved much more difficult with his new schedule. Luckily, this was not an elective he shared with his cousin, Rose. She had begun to harp on him more like a mother than a friend. On the mornings they had class together he would have to apparate back to his bedroom early enough that she wouldn't come looking for him. She was thoroughly convinced that there was something wrong with him. She told him at least once a day that he should go to the hospital wing, because it was ridiculous (in her opinion) that someone who went to bed so early would always be so tired. Of course, Albus hadn't told anyone about how he was visiting Scorpius in the evenings. Since his discussion with Teddy he hadn't even told anyone that he was sleeping with Scorpius. Albus was thoroughly convinced that if Teddy wasn't able to understand then no one was.
On top of that, there was the actual question of how he was sneaking out to see Scorpius, and that was not a question he wanted people asking either. James seemed to think that Albus was behaving himself, at least he hadn't seen too much of his older brother in the last two weeks. But then again, he hadn't seen much of anyone. Lily had been trying to talk to him since he had run away from her and Teddy at Hogsmeade. Drew also seemed concerned every time he "went to bed early". Albus was constantly in fear of someone going to "check on him" in the night and realizing that he wasn't in his bed. Albus sighed deeply as he opened his bag to pull out his rune translations. He had done them in a hurry, so it wasn't his best work, but he had compared to Sullivan and been able to fix the few mistakes he had made. His heart just wasn't in it anymore, he thought, passing his assignment to the front of the classroom and then pulling out his quill to start taking notes. He was burnt out from school, what he needed was a vacation.
And luckily for Albus Easter vacation was in two weeks. He fantasized about a week of no classes, no expectations about where he should be. He could spend the whole day with Scorpius, in the forest, in an empty classroom, back in the Slytherin dorms and no one would be the wiser. This happy thought managed to sustain Albus for the entire Ancient Runes lecture, although his notes probably weren't as thorough as they could have been because at some point he had begun doodling Easter eggs on the margins of the page. As he and Sullivan packed up their bags Albus only thoughts were of climbing back into bed, or perhaps going down to the Great Hall for a late breakfast.
"Double charms next." Sullivan reminded him. "Come on, we don't want to be late."
Albus stifled a groan, and following Sullivan, he trudged up the stairway to the charms classroom.
Albus walked into the Great Hall for lunch, and said goodbye to Sullivan before making his way over to the Gryffindor table. He looked wistfully back to the direction Sullivan was heading, spotting a familiar blond head through the crowd. Albus sighed, turning back and looking for a seat at the Gryffindor table. He knew that he could sit at the Slytherin table if he wanted to, no one would stop him, but it wasn't worth the headache, all the whispering and attention. Albus spotted Rosie sitting with Amy, Grace and Drew. He began to walk over to the empty spot he spied next to them, but before he could make it he was intercepted by James.
"Long time no see." His brother said. Although his wording was casual, his voice dripped with accusation.
"I guess." Albus shrugged, not really wanting to talk to his brother. He was tired, and hungry, from missing breakfast. He tried to move past his brother, but James wasn't finished.
"Haven't seen you at breakfast lately." James said, still accusing.
"Sleeping in." Albus replied, annoyed. "You know how end of term gets, lots to do, need to get plenty of sleep."
James eyed him for a moment, before apparently accepting the response.
"Well don't expect me to be your delivery boy if you keep missing the post." He said, and he grabbed a letter out of his robes, and presented it to Albus.
Albus recognized the handwriting on the front of the letter. It was his mother's.
"Wha-" Albus began, about to ask what it could be about.
"We all got one." James replied, "This is all your fault. I was going to schedule extra quidditch practice during holiday." James didn't seem mad, just annoyed.
Albus looked at the letter, still confused, but before he had a chance to ask his brother what he was talking about, James walked away.
Albus rolled his eyes, and continued down the aisle between the tables. He sat down next to Rosie, across from Drew, and greeted them all.
"What did James want?" Rosie asked, apparently she had noticed their interaction.
"Just handed me this." Albus said, brandishing the letter.
"What's it say?" Drew asked.
"Dunno." Albus said. "But apparently it's all my fault, whatever it is." Albus chuckled, before ripping open the envelope and reading the surprisingly short letter.
Dear Albus,
I hope your term is going well. Your father and I have decided that we would like you and your brother and sister to come home during the Easter Holiday this year. It will be good to see you all and get some family time. You father and I want to talk to you and see how things are going. We will pick you at King's Cross.
Love,
Mum
It only took Albus a few seconds to read the letter, but he lingered over the words for a few moments. Rosie was reading it over his shoulder.
"Oh." She said casually, "I was thinking of going home over holiday too. Might be a nice break."
"Yeah." Albus replied, "A nice break."
He faked a smile at her, before turning towards the food in front of him and loading up his plate, so that he wouldn't have to make more conversation. He was aware of Rosie watching him as he began to eat and tried to look unperturbed by the letter.
Inside Albus was screaming. He was screaming and throwing a large fit. He was pounding his fists on the table. All of the visions he had of the Easter holiday suddenly vanished, and were replaced with sitting around a table, forced to playing exploding snap with his family, or even worse, sitting getting lectured by his mother. Perhaps being forced to do chores, and being told to do his homework.
No more lazy afternoons in the Forbidden Forest, no mornings sleeping in and cuddling with Scorpius. No secret rendezvous in abandoned classrooms. Albus sighed.
"You okay Al?" Drew asked him.
"Just tired." Albus turned back to his food, but realized he wasn't very hungry.
"Did you get the letter?" A voice behind him asked. He turned and saw that his sister had appeared behind him.
"Yeah." He said, remembering that James had said they all got one. "James said it's all my fault." He grinned good-naturedly.
"Hmm, I don't think so." Lily replied carefully, "It's James' last year, and you are going away this summer, I think they just want to spend time together."
Her argument made sense, but something in her voice caused Albus to believe she wasn't being entirely truthful.
"It'll be better than being in the castle anyways." She continued, "You've been working too hard, you need a break."
"Yeah…" Albus trailed off, feeling slightly guilty that he wasn't working anywhere near as hard as everyone seemed to think he was.
"Plus, we can hang out Al." Rosie smiled, "That'll be fun!"
"Yeah, that does sound like fun!" Lily replied brightly.
Albus got the sudden feeling that they were both in on some sort of secret.
"I guess…" He responded, suddenly uneasy.
"Well, I better go." Lily said, "I'll see you later." And she walked away.
Albus waited until Lily was gone to ask. "Rosie, why are you going home for holiday?"
"I told you, to get a break."
"Wouldn't you rather stay here with Jeremy?" He asked, suddenly curious if there was something happening between them.
"You know Albus, not every decision I make needs to be centered around my boyfriend." She stated this in an accusatory tone, and Albus suddenly felt like he had a better understanding of what she and Lily had been conspiring about. Was everyone just trying to get him away from Scorpius? Albus felt almost like laughing, if only they knew how much time he was actually spending with the Slytherin.
"Right, of course." He replied, pretending not to pick up on her subliminal message.
He went back to his food, but realized that he really didn't have an appetite. Then out of the corner of his eye he saw Andrew and Tess walking out of the Great Hall. Then right behind them was Scorpius and Stephanie. Albus stood without thinking. Everyone was looking him.
"Um, gotta go." He said, before hurrying away to catch up to the Slytherins.
"You didn't even eat!" Rosie called behind him. He ignored her.
He made it out of the Great Hall, and saw the group about halfway down the East corridor.
"Scor!" He called, walking quickly in their direction.
They all turned and waved at him as he approached. Scorpius smiled when he first saw Albus, but as he got closer the blonde's face fell. Albus realized he must look more upset then he thought.
"Can we talk for a minute?" Albus asked him.
"Yeah of course," He responded, waving his friends away. After they had left he turned back to Albus. "What is it?" Scorpius asked him, looking worried.
"My parents." Albus moaned. "They're making me come home for the holiday."
Scorpius' eyes widened, and then his face fell. "No!" He said in disbelief.
"I still don't think they have forgiven me about New Year's." Albus continued, miserably. "They said we needed 'family time' and that they wanted to talk to me. But I really think that they just want to lecture me more."
Scorpius rolled his eyes, and Albus felt better that someone else thought that this was a ridiculous idea.
"And I think that Rosie and Lily and maybe even James are all in on it." Albus moaned again, aware of how whiney his voice sounded, but not particularly caring. "They all said that getting away from the castle would be good for me. Well, James didn't say that, but I'm sure he would agree." Albus finished and looked miserably up at his boyfriend. He wasn't sure what he expected Scorpius to say, but if he was being honest, it just felt nice to be able to complain about it all.
"Don't worry about it Al. Your parents can't lecture you all week. And your sister and cousin can't control you." And with barely a moment to even consider the idea he added, "I'll go home for the holiday too. Then you can come to mine when 'family talk' is over and we can still see one another. My parents won't be home anyway, they're off in Tanzania or something, I think."
Albus felt his heart swell. Scorpius hadn't even paused before going out of his way to make Albus feel better.
"I'd love that, but there's no way my parents will let me go to Malfoy Manor after what happened last time."
"Don't tell them." Scorpius said as if it was obvious. "Just floo to mine after they've gone to bed."
It said a lot to how much spending time with Scorpius had corrupted Albus that the idea of sneaking out of his house didn't bother him.
"I would." Albus said sadly, "but my dad has a friend who works at the floo network. Last time I went to the manor he sent an owl to my dad. And that was when they knew I was going over."
Scorpius frowned. He clearly wasn't used to the idea of parents being interested in where their children were at all times.
"I'll think on it." He said, seemingly lost in thought. Albus had a feeling that Scorpius didn't want him to lose hope, but what could they do? It's not like Albus could fly all the way to Malfoy Manor. He certainly wouldn't want to try and apparate.
"Well, I better get to class." He said a moment later. He realized that the hallway had slowly emptied around them. He wasn't sure what time it was, but class had to be starting soon.
"Yeah, alright." Scorpius said, still lost in thought, "I'll see you later."
That night when Albus saw Scorpius he didn't mention the idea of Albus coming to visit him over the holidays. He didn't bring it up in the coming days either, and as the end of term crept closer and closer Albus resigned himself to the fact that he would be spending his entire break where he was supposed to, with his family. His mood soured even further when his professors began assigning large amounts of homework to be completed during the holiday. No Scorpius, and he was going to be drowning in work, great.
The last day of classes Albus was not feeling much like celebrating with the rest of the castle. He had taken two exams, where he hadn't felt very confident in his answers. He had studied, but he had found recently that facts just hadn't been sticking in his brain the way that they usually did. He had also turned in a few essays earlier in the week and gotten an A and an E on them. The essay with an E had "not up to your usual standard" written on it, which Albus thought was a little unfair for a grade that stood for "exceeds expectations". The essay that had a "A" on it had "see me after class" written on it. This was his potions professor, so after the last potions lesson was over he told Rosie to go ahead without him and approached Professor Ratri's desk.
"You wanted to see me Professor?" He began doubtfully.
Professor Ratri looked up at him and stared for a few minutes, as if waiting for Albus to begin talking. Albus stood their awkwardly, unsure of what to say.
"Is everything alright Mr. Potter?" She asked finally. Neither her face nor her voice showed any traces of concern, more like accusation. Professor Ratri was a relatively young professor. She was strict, but also brilliant, and Albus had always enjoyed her class, but then again he had never been on the receiving end of her wrath before.
"Yes, fine." Albus replied quickly.
His professor considered him for another moment.
"Then tell me what happened here." She gestured to the essay that Albus still had clutched in his hand. Albus looked at his professor, bewildered.
"I got an A…" he trailed off. He didn't understand, it was a passing grade.
"The only A I have ever given you." The professor noted. "You've never turned in anything that deserved anything below an O before."
"Uh…" Albus blushed, unsure what to say.
"So, what happened?" His professor asked again, and this time it was clear that she wanted a response.
"I… I guess I didn't work as hard." Albus admitted finally. It was true, Albus knew that his essay had been a little lazy, but he had still done a fine job and he had gotten a passing grade.
"This is an OWL course Mr. Potter." The professor continued in a patronizing tone. "If you plan on taking your NEWTS in potions next year, you are going to have to do better than this." She pointed at the essay again.
"Do you understand?" Albus nodded silently, not trusting himself to speak. If he was being honest, he didn't understand. Plenty of students got A's all the time, and he knew Professor Ratri didn't chastise every single one of them. He didn't understand why he was being singled out this way. Why did he have to be perfect? He kept his cool together until he had left the dungeons, but then he began feeling very angry again.
Why did everyone expect so much more from Albus than from anyone else? He couldn't make one mistake without his parents freaking out, meanwhile James messed up all the time. He couldn't get one lousy A without being treated like an idiot, but other students were praised for even taking OWL potions. Albus fumed all his way through dinner, which he wolfed down without a word to anyone around him.
As he made his way back up the common room he continued to fume about the fact that he had to go pack his things, all his books and scrolls and ink and quills and make his way home for the next week to be yelled at by his parents and stuck in his room doing all his homework. Albus wondered if he should even go over to the Slytherin dorms that evening. He had to be up early in the morning to catch the train. Of course, if Scorpius was also going home, like he said he was, he would need to be up early as well, but Albus seriously doubted that the Slytherin would spend a week alone in his mansion if he had no opportunity to visit Albus.
When Albus made his way up to the 6th year boy dorms he saw that Drew was also packing up his things, but looking considerably less miserable than Albus.
"I didn't know you were going home for the holiday." Albus said as he passed Drew's bed, which had robes and other clothes piled on top of it.
"Not home." Drew said with a grin, "I'm going to visit my sister."
Albus' stopped walking and spun around to look at Drew. Drew's sister had come out as gay and according to Drew, his family hadn't handled it too well. Albus had been under the impression that the two of them weren't close anymore.
"Wow, is that… are you?" Albus didn't know what he was trying to say. Thankfully, Drew filled him in.
"We've been writing to each other, since Christmas. Things have always been awkward and I told her that I wanted to fix it." He gave a small smile. "She invited me to come stay with her and her girlfriend for the week."
"That's awesome Drew!" Albus shook his friend's shoulder in support. "I'm so happy for you."
Drew smiled back at him, and then he said, "Maybe it's a good week for being honest with family eh?"
Albus let go of Drew's shoulder and his smile dropped. "What do you mean?"
Drew considered him a moment longer, and then sighed. "I've been spending a lot of time with Rosie, you know, because of Grace." He grinned again, "And she is really hoping that you will tell your parents about being gay while you are home for the holidays."
"Yeah, her and everyone else." Albus rolled his eyes, and turned to walk over to his own bed. He began pulling things out of his trunk that he wouldn't need for the week.
"Do you think you will?" Drew asked, turning back to his own trunk and trying to sound casual.
"I think that if I don't, James will." Albus replied truthfully. This had been another subject that had stressed him out ever since he received the letter from his parents. James had almost told everyone at Christmas, there was no way his brother wouldn't tell his parents now. Especially since he was already mad at Albus for making him miss extra quidditch training.
"Well if it matters," Drew said, turning back to Albus. "I think you should. I think your parents will be more understanding about the other stuff if they knew what you've been going through. And I think you will feel better."
Albus wanted to tell Drew that it wasn't that easy, he wanted to explain about the large stone that landed in his stomach every time he tried to imagine telling his parents that he was gay. But he also knew that his roommate was right, it was a secret that wasn't even a secret anymore. It was time to tell his parents, time to stop hiding it from anyone.
"Yeah." Was all Albus said a moment later. Then he went back to packing his trunk.
When Albus appeared in the Slytherin dorm room later that evening the only person he saw was Trey.
"Uh, hey." Albus said, he never really spoke to Trey, but was grateful that the Prefect had never told about him apparating around the castle.
"They're in the common room." Trey responded, without looking up from the book he was reading.
"Thanks." Albus said, and he hurried out of the room.
As he approached the usual fireplace in the common room he noticed there were many more people crowded around it than normal.
As Albus made his way through the crowd Scorpius saw him and waved him over.
"What's up with all the people." Albus asked as he sat down next to his boyfriend, but as he watched he noticed that most of the crowd was concentrated around Sullivan, who seemed to be handing out small coins.
"This." Scorpius said, pulling something out of his pocket and handing it to Albus. Albus looked at the small object in the palm of his hand, it wasn't a coin, it was a button. A small, round, metal button with four holes and a small number carved on it, 11.
"What is this?" Albus asked, confused.
"A portkey." Scorpius grinned. "So you better not lose it, because next Friday at 11 o'clock if you are holding onto it, it will take you to Malfoy Manor, where I will throwing a rather lavish party." He gestured around to all of the Slytherin students who were gathered around. Albus noticed that it wasn't really all the Slytherins, most just 5th years and above.
"How did you get your hands on this many portkeys?" Albus asked. He was pretty sure that portkeys had to be regulated by the Ministry, and he highly doubted Scorpius had done that.
"Tess' dad has some connections through his business." Scorpius grinned, "She called in a favor."
"That's a lot of favors." Albus said. There was a part of his brain that was concerned about being in possession of an illegal portkey, but another part of him, a much bigger part couldn't focus on anything other than the fact that Scorpius had done all of this just so he could see Albus over the vacation.
"Thank you." Albus said quietly.
"You're welcome." Scorpius gave him a soft kiss. Albus pulled away after a moment, self-conscious with all of the other students surrounding them. Scorpius didn't seem to mind, he just wrapped an arm around his boyfriend, and Albus leaned into his chest, feeling happier than he had all day. He sighed deeply into Scorpius' robes, wishing he could stay like this forever.
"Everything ok?" Scorpius asked him.
Albus dropped his voice down low so no one else could hear, "Not the best day." Albus admitted. He began to explain to Scorpius about his grade in potions and also his conversation with Drew. Scorpius waved off his issue with Professor Ratri, "she's a bitch" he said, as if that solved the issue. But he seemed much more interested in the conversation with Drew.
"Do you think you are going to tell them then?" Scorpius asked, he looked nervous, which was an emotion that Albus rarely saw.
"I don't think I can avoid it." Albus answered, "I'll have to tell them I am gay, but I don't know, I don't think I should tell them about us quite yet."
Scorpius nodded, but didn't say anything.
"I think it might be too much all at once." Albus explained. Scorpius still didn't say anything. "Unless… unless you want me to tell them." Albus said finally, watching Scorpius carefully for a reaction.
"I don't care either way." Scorpius answered, and Albus was a little disappointed. "I just want you to feel better about the situation with your parents. If you think telling them about us will make it worse then you shouldn't."
Albus nodded. By this point most of the crowd had dispersed and the rest of the circle was excitedly discussing plans for the party. Albus joined in, he had never been to a party at the Malfoy Manor, well not a large one anyway. Apparently Scorpius had thrown some rather raucous parties in the past, and the group spent the better part of the evening recounting hilarious moments from parties past. Albus enjoyed hearing about the crazy things his friends had gotten up to in their 4th and 5th years, when they had begun to break rules in earnest.
Eventually the fire in the fireplace began to die down, and Albus began to stifle yawns. The group made their way up to their respective dorms, Scorpius holding Albus' hand.
As the two boys climbed into bed Albus felt a wave of exhaustion hit him, and he immediately closed his eyes, feeling like he could fall asleep at any moment.
A warm hand wormed its way under his shirt, rubbing the skin on his stomach. Albys turned his head and smiled sleepily at the Slytherin. Scorpius leaned down to kiss him, but Albus had to break it off suddenly with a large yawn. After the yawn, Albus leaned in again, trying to continue the kiss, but Scorpius stopped him.
"Go to sleep Al." He said with a small smile. Albus nodded, snuggled up close to the other boy and fell asleep.
The next morning Albus pulled himself out of bed, said goodbye to the Slytherin boys, who were all running around, throwing last minute things into their trunks. He promised Scorpius that he would sit with them on the train and then apparated back to his bed. He laid there for only a moment, before climbing out. The rest of his dorm was still sleeping, except for Drew, who he could hear was in the bathroom, brushing his teeth.
Albus dressed quickly in muggle clothes, leaving his robes on his bed. Before folding them up he pulled a small button out of the pocket and transferred it to the pocket of his jeans. He began shoving some last minute things in a bag just as Drew came in from the bathroom.
"Ah good, you're up." He said with a smile, "Want to grab breakfast?"
"Yep." Albus double checked that his trunk was properly packed, before leaving it for the house elves to bring down to the train platform.
Drew did the same and then grabbed a jacket and the two boys walked down to the common room. As they descended the stairs Albus saw that Lily, Rosie, Hugo and James were all waiting for them, although James looked begrudgingly at him.
"Wow," Drew laughed, "Like a little family reunion."
They all walked down to the Great Hall together, and sat at the very empty Gryffindor table. Almost no one else in their house was going home for the holidays, and hadn't bothered to get up early on the first day of their vacation. However, across the hall, the Slytherin table looked packed in comparison.
Rosie eyed the Slytherin table suspiciously. "Wonder why all the Slytherins are going home." She said, looking at Albus curiously.
Albus shrugged, and tried to look very interested in his breakfast. James also seemed to be looking at the Slytherin table intently. Albus was worried his brother would also interrogate him about the Slytherins, but a moment later his face lit up.
"Look, look." He whispered excitedly. "That's the captain of the Slytherin quidditch team." He looked around for another moment, "And there's their seeker, and one of their chasers and beaters." He grinned happily. "Looks like they won't be practicing over the holidays either." Albus couldn't help but chuckle, typical James.
When their plates had cleared they all exited the Great Hall and stood, waiting for the coaches that would take them to the train. As Albus stood, waiting next to his sister, he felt a hand grab his from behind.
"Good morning beautiful." A voice said in his ear. Albus turned and saw Scorpius.
"Hi." He said, nervously, aware of his entire family watching them both closely.
To his surprise, Scorpius turned to address them all, "None of you would mind if I stole Albus for the train ride, would you?" He flashed his most endearing smile, the one that made Albus' heart feel like jelly. "I won't get to see him all week." Scorpius pouted slightly, which Albus thought was perhaps taking it a little too far. No one spoke up, although both James and Rose looked irritated.
"Great!" Scorpius smiled brightly at them all. "Happy holidays to you all." He called, as he began to drag Albus away. The group of Slytherins cheered as Scorpius arrived with Albus in tow.
Albus made his way onto a coach and the train, without seeing his family again. As they attempted to find a compartment, Albus realized how empty the train was when only a small portion of the school was on it. After trying to squeeze 7 sixteen-year-olds into one compartment, the general consensus was that perhaps they should split up. Without a moment's hesitation Scorpius pulled Albus out of the compartment and they continued down until they found an empty section of the train.
When they had picked a compartment, Albus sat down, but Scorpius stayed standing, locking the compartment door behind them.
"Why are you locking the door?" Albus asked, but the smile on Scorpius' face was all the answer he needed. Without another word Scorpius descended on the Gryffindor, kissing him eagerly. Albus was more than happy to oblige, he wrapped his arms around Scorpius' neck and pulled the blond closer. Scorpius pushed him down until he was laying on one of the padded benches of the compartment, and Scorpius was laying on top of him. Albus squirmed under the other boy, feeling himself reacting to Scorpius' touch. It wasn't until Scorpius began working on the button of his jeans that Albus finally protested.
"Wait!" He said, breathing heavily, "Are we really going to… on the train?"
Scorpius grinned wolfishly at him, "Well I didn't get to say goodbye last night." He said, leaning down and sucking on Albus' neck for a moment. "And I need to show you how much I am going to miss you."
"But I'll see you on Friday." Albus reminded him.
"That's still six days from now." Scorpius countered. And then he slowly slid one hand inside of Albus' unbuttoned pants. "Don't you want to know how much I am going to miss you?" He whispered in Albus ear. Albus gasped as he felt Scorpius wrap a hand around his cock. He nodded fervently, and didn't protest anymore.
When the Hogwarts Express arrived at King's Cross Albus Potter was not the first one to deboard. In fact, when he finally made his way off of the train and found his family, he saw that he was the last one to arrive, and that his parents and siblings were standing around waiting for him. He hurried over to them and waved happily.
"Hi mum, hi dad." He smiled as brightly as he could, trying to look as if he hadn't spent the last few hours having sex on a train.
Are you super super excited for the next chapter because YOU. SHOULD. BE.
