Falling, falling, falling, that was all he could think about. How stupid was he to fall for such a stupid trick, the one he trusted above others. How could this have happened?
Flashback
Naruto smiled softly kissing Kurotsuchi deeply again, he would never get tired of this. He broke the kiss off, much to the ire of said female. Naruto got out of the bed grabbing his shirt and throwing the long sleeved black shirt. He turned and winked at Kurotsuchi and ran out of the room, hearing her footsteps he enacted the second phase of his prank. He ducked under the plastic wrap pulled taught by the tape and when she came careening through the door frame the wrap yanked her back. He stuck his tongue out and he saw her face glowing red from anger.
"NA RU TOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Naruto ran out the door forgoing his sandals he leapt from rooftop to roof top. Wincing at the morning sun he willed the darkness to cover his eyes. (Similar to Jensen's glasses from Deus Ex Human Revolution) He looked behind him only to see a red hot glob of molten rock fly past his head. He made a face of panic and took off with chakra pounding through his legs. Seeing the Third Hokage and the Third Tsuchikage walking up ahead he went for a baseball slide, using the darkness he formed padding over his foot and a flat board below his body. Sliding underneath the Third Hokage's robes he jumped up in a run screaming as he went by.
"HIYA GRAMPS" "BYE'YA GRAMPS" Hiruzen startled by the boy turned around to see Kurotsuchi go around them apologizing quickly for Naruto's actions. Naruto smiled widely enjoying his day off.
Flashback End
Heaviness, he felt a heaviness descending upon his chest. What was this? Why was this? He looked around seeing nothing but a never ending deep dark. He looked below him and saw a light, dim and small, but a light. He felt he needed this light, so he reached out his hand to grab it.
Flashback
Naruto stopped in the middle of his team's training ground and started panting. He looked behind him and saw his fiancé looking at him. He smiled widely and started frantically waving his arms.
"Ts-Ts-Tsuchi-chan, h-hold on it was a prank! I-It was Kuro's idea!" Kurotsuchi being one of the only three who knew who Kuro was scowled and grabbed Naruto by his collar and in a feat of strength raised him by it.
"Now you listen here Naruto, Kuro. I swear to Kami-Sama, if you two ever pull anything like that again, I'll come in there and destroy you, savvy?" Naruto nodded frantically but he heard a scoff. On the inside Kuro looked unimpressed. Rising out of the ground a small humanoid figure made out of shadow, almost a foot tall jumped on Kurotsuchi and pants' her. Kurotsuchi dropping Naruto shrieked in embarrassment. Naruto stood up and Kurotsuchi pulled up her pants, a deep red forming on her cheeks muttering something about stupid dark beings and killing him for embarrassing her. Naruto sighed and fell on his back he sprawled out like an eagles wings and looked up at Kurotsuchi. She sighed and fell over as well and the two sat there in each other's company. This day couldn't be any better!
Flashback End
He was falling faster and faster, nearing the light he so longed for he stretched further, almost willing himself to grab the light. He heard a faint sound, almost like a whimper, whipping around in the air he realized it was coming from everywhere.
'Please, please don't leave me.'
'What is causing this?'
'Three months'
'Will he ever come back?'
'It is unsure, something is drawing him. Unless he fights, he will lose the will to live.'
HE felt troubled by these voices. He knew he had heard them before, however he didn't know names or faces. He felt that once he touched the light, he would become whole. He turned back to face the light and he saw it, it wasn't just a light, it was a flower! He landed next to the flower, he felt something on his right, and he felt as if he could move it. Stretching whatever it was out he saw that it was a long black thing with wiggly thingies on the end. He almost touched it when the flower opened up. Inside was a small form, glowing golden and orange he saw it. IT felt warm, happy, whatever it was, and he needed to feel it. The long wiggly thing he willed it to touch it but just as he was about to touch it the floor fell through. Once again, falling, falling and missing that warmth, that was all he knew.
Flashback
Naruto rolled onto his side resting his head on his arm he saw Kurotsuchi sighing deeply and then saw her smile widely.
"Oi, Love birds!" Naruto raised his head and looked behind him and saw his team, he smiled widely.
"Kakashi-sensei! Sakura-Chan! Sasuke-Teme!" Said few smiled and waved, with the exception of one angry black haired boy.
"Hey Naruto, why is Kurotsuchi here?" Naruto chuckled and got whopped upside the head by Kurotsuchi. Grabbing the growing knot he whined.
"Ne, that wasn't fair Tsuchi-Hime, I wasn't ready." She humphed and turned away.
"Naruto, you still didn't answer my question." Naruto nodded and stood up. Stretching he smiled widely willing the darkness to vanish from his eyes.
"Ne, I pulled a prank on her and she chased me. So I came here to meet you all but she decided to stay. So we've just been here, waiting for you to arrive." Kakashi smiled and nodded.

It looked around; it felt it should be remembering something, something very important to it. It tried to cling to the warmth but found its feelings were fleeting. It tried to retain them; suddenly it heard the voices again.
'His condition is worsening.'
That's right, it was a He.
'Is there anything we can do?'
'Pray, hope that he can pull through. The Yamanaka we sent in to check on him died shortly after entering his mind. Whatever is causing this has seemingly devoured his soul. We thought it would have been the Kyuubi; however we have evidence against that. The Kyuubi's chakra is almost gone, as if absorbed.'
Kyuubi? Why did that name seem so familiar? Was it his name? Was he this Kyuubi and if so how did he end up falling for so long?
'Please, Naruto-Kun, please fight for me.'
Naruto, that was his name, he just knew it had to be. He felt the warmth returning into him. He looked around and saw the flower above him wilt and fade. He saw the small being reaching for him, crying as dark tendrils tore it apart. He felt a tear hit his cheek, and then he knew. He had died.
Flashback
"Ne, Kakashi-Sensei, do you think we could learn something cool now?" Kakashi raised an eyebrow.
"What do you man 'Something cool'?" Naruto crossed his arms and Kurotsuchi decked him again. Sakura laughed and smiled at the two. She looked at Sasuke wondering why Sasuke wouldn't try being friendly like that with her. Naruto smiled widely and started to laugh but he felt a wrenching pain in his gut and a migraine hit him hard. Folding over from the pain Naruto's body flooded with Red chakra a two tailed cloak forming. Naruto screamed out in agony grabbing his head he started thrashing around wildly swinging out at things he screamed loudly. A large black globule of muck slipped from his mouth in a cough, more of the black material started flowing from his nose, his ears, eyes, his skin cracked and it started to seep from his skin. While all this was happening Kakashi was pulling the Genin back and using hand signs he formed three clones and the four Kakashi's set to making Mud walls surrounding Naruto. Hiruzen and Onoki rushed onto the scene.
"Kakashi, report!" Kakashi nodded.
"Team 7 were about to start their training session today when all of the sudden Naruto fell over. The Kyuubi's cloak formed as if he was being attacked. Right after that he started leaking this black ooze from his body." Hiruzen scowled at hearing that. He motioned for Kakashi to take the Genin and leave. He looked to the Mud Walls and sighed deeply.
"How much more does he have to suffer?"

Naruto wanted to cry, but he couldn't. He was dead, he couldn't cry if he even tried.
'Im sorry Kurama, I was a fool.'

Naruto stood and looked at his surroundings. HE knew this place well, his mindscape, the home to his two best friends.
"Ne, Kurama, why'd you call me here?" HE looked to the cage only too see Kurama bound in a black tar-like substance.
"KURAMA!" Naruto was slammed to the ground with a force he had never felt before. HE felt a bare foot press his head into the ground a knee digging into his back.
"Well well well, look at what we have here Kura-chaaaaaaaaan! We caught ourselves a Naruto!" Kurama growled in disgust. He tried to move but Kuro held out a hand and slammed it down. The black tar following his command slammed him to the ground and pinned him.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk, Kurama. You know you can't defeat me. Now be a good fox and SIT!" With a roar the tar covered Kurama and compacted into a human sized cocoon. The sound of bones breaking and flesh tearing rung across the room as blood seeped out from the cocoon.
"KURAMAAAAAA!" Kuro stomped Naruto's head and shook his finger.
"You should really learn to talk," Kuro put more pressure on Naruto's skull, "only when spoken to brat." Naruto yelled in anguish at the thought of loosing Kurama.
"Why Kuro!? I thought we were friends!" Kuro let out a shrieking laugh, almost like a car screeching when the brakes are slammed.
"You?! MY friend? HAHAHAHA! THE THOUGHT of a being like you being my friend?" Kuro spit on the ground next to Naruto's face.
"Have you forgotten? I chose you as my vassal, and well, I'm disappointed in you young boy. I figured you would make use of me more so I could devour more of your soul. Well, beggars can't be choosers I guess." Kuro got off of Naruto but kept him bound with the same black tar that covered the room. Kuro formed a chair out of it and sat down in it elbows on his knees, hands holding his head.
"So speak dog, yell at me for being unfair, let it loose before I devour you completely." Naruto's head hung down and hollowly he only said one word.
"Why?" Kuro screeched in laughter again kicking and clapping as if told the funniest joke of all.
"WHY?! HA, WHY?! Naruto you are naïve. Don't you ever wonder why Kurama tried to warn you of something? Why you didn't heal and something had suppressed Kurama's chakra? It was me you fool, you made a deal with the devil, and it is time for me to collect."Naruto looked on in fear.
"Who, who are you?" Kuro smiled widely.
"I have been given many names, but as you have been good and allowed me to cultivate my form once again, I shall tell you. I am Omagatsuhi; I AM THE EVIL THAT BEARS DOWN ON THIS WORLD FROM YOMI! Thanks to you, you imbecile, you have given me a form strong enough that I can return to my vassal. You have my thanks puny ape, and as such I leave you a gift." Kuro grabs his head and splits it open, he grab a part of the red energy flowing within and folds his head back together. With one move he jumps to Naruto shoving his arm down his throat.
"Should you survive this, you will have my power. It will grow and become one with you, but know ape, that when you die, and you come to Yomi, I" The cocoon holding Kurama split open the foxes eye and great maw peering out from within. The fox ripped open its cage and flung against the bars. Naruto being in such distress Kurama took this opportunity to break its seal. The bars flinging open Kurama flung its paw against Kuro sending him flying back into the wall. Kurama picked Naruto up, still writhing in pain and he growled at Kuro. Kuro smiled however and he started laughing again as a Blonde man slammed a large Rasengan into Kurama's maw. HE grabbed Naruto and jumped back.
"KYUUBI WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY SON!"

Naruto felt a hand on his shoulder, loving, warm, and soft. He felt another on his left, same, loving, warm, but this one rough and calloused, he looked over his shoulders seeing a red headed female and a blonde male. Naruto smiled, they spoke but he couldn't hear them. He started to see the black cracking and he saw light returning to his mind. He landed finally at the bottom of the chasm and the woman and man stood there outside a resealed Kurama's cage. The man looked to the woman placing a comforting hand on her back, he softly pushed her towards him. She took off in a sprint and hugged him tightly sobs wracking her body.
"You're back, dontcha'know!" Naruto's eyes widened as he recognized this person, her warmth, her angelic voice. As if from a dream long since forgotten and had reemerged her wrapped his arms around her tightly and nearly screamed.
"MOM!" The male smiled softly to him and walked forward towards Naruto. Naruto recognizing him from a picture he saw on the wall, and with the recent news, immediately knew who the man was.
"Dad." Minato smiled softly.
"Naruto, I" He was interrupted by Kushina rubbing her cheek against Naruto's almost fawning over him. Minato sweat dropped and listened to Kushina questioning him about everything in his life. Minato almost fell over dead when he heard he was engaged to Tsuchigakure's princess. Kushina wanted to wring the old man's neck but when Naruto told her he loved Kurotsuchi and that they both wanted to be married she softened up. Minato walked over to the two and looked sternly at them and Kushina knew it was time.
"Naruto, it is time you know what truly happened the night of your birth, the night we died."
