I didn't double-check this so there can be some mistakes in the fiction.
Quarter 4: Encounter in the summer
Back in summer when the Seirin basketball team was having a training camp,
"Do you think these are enough for the boys?" Furihata Kouki asked the little bluenette beside her. She picked up two grocery bags on the counter of a casher in a supermarket near their camp. The other girl also picked up the rest. Kuroko Tetsuya checked the contents in the bags.
"I think so." She told her. "But, they might be starving after the training, especially Kagami-kun." Furi sweat-dropped, thinking how much burgers Kagami could devour in ten minutes. The two girls left the supermarket and went back to their inn. Apparently, the basketball team entrusted them with the meal although they are not as half good as Kagami or Mitobe. They decided to still alive by eating the two girl's slightly tasteless food than to eat their coach's super terrible dishes.
The way back to their inn was quite. As Kuroko is a quite person and did not speak too much, Furihata did not know what to say. Suddenly, they were stopped by an orange thing flying before their eyes while walking near a grand villa. The two girls stunned, looking at the orange one, which was actually a basketball. "I think it came from that villa." Furi said as she picked up the ball. She turned around to the gate of the villa to find someone who came to fetch the ball. Soon, they saw a tall figure running towards them.
"Ah, thank you. It's mine." A black-haired boy said while coming out of the villa's compound. He smiled sweetly. Furihata thought she had seen this guy somewhere before. He looked familiar. She gave the basketball back to him.
"Here". The tall guys took it, but he was looking at Kuroko instead of the ball. 'Another Kuroko's admirer?' Furi sighed. Although Kuroko lacked presence, she somehow was able to gain admirers. Well, she indeed was pretty. With her straight, long, silky, teal hair, fair skin, slender figure and polite manners, she was a perfect girlfriend for any guy if he did not count her quietness and lack of presence.
"I'm sorry, but is your name Kuroko Tetsuya?" The guy said. That amazed both girls.
"Umm, yes, it is. And you are?" Kuroko replied, wondering who that guy was and how he knew her.
"Oh, it's really you. You really are pretty, Kuroko-san. No wonder you are Sei-chan's girlfriend." He told them with a happy tone. "Oh my, how rude of me. I'm Mibuchi Reo, a regular basketball player from Rakuzen and an upperclassman of Akashi Seijuurou." He introduced him. 'He's the Mibuchi Reo of the uncrowned kings!' Furi exclaimed in her mind. 'It's not strange that he looks so familiar.'
"I'm sorry, but you're wrong, Mibuchi-san. I'm not dating Akashi-san at the moment or anyone." Kuroko said. She wanted to leave the place at once so she said her farewell 'I'm leaving.' and left him. Furi followed her. But before they were able to go much, another boy came out from the gate.
"Hey, Reo-nee, what's taking you so long?"
"Kotarou, look, look. It's Sei-chan's girlfriend." Reo pointed at Kuroko. The blonde boy looked at the teal-haired girl.
"You're right. Hey, Kuroko-san, do you come for Akashi? Then, come on in." He grabbed the bags from her. "I guese Akashi would be happy to see you."
"I'm sorry, but I'm just passing by, so please give the bags back." Kuroko tried to take the bags and failed since the Kotarou guys ran into the villa. "Please wait." She shouted.
"Sorry about that. I'll go get them." Reo said and ran after his teammate.
"Akashi, I saw your girlfriend at the gate." Hayama Kotarou announced as he entered the villa, then into Akashi's room. A red-haired teen looked up at him from his shogi board.
"Kotarou, don't run into my room without knocking. And what're those bags and why're you yelling that you saw Tetsuya?" Akashi Seijuurou a.k.a the absolute emperor, the ex-captain of the generation of miracles and current captain of the Rakuzen basketball team, said.
"That's because I saw her. She is at the gate and these bags are hers. I took them so she can't leave." Hayama explained.
"C'mon Kotarou, you know it's bad to take stuffs from a girl and run away." Reo took the bags from the blonde boy's hands. Then he turned to Akashi's direction. "She is really here. If you want to greet her, she's still at the gate." Akashi stood up and put on his haori. Unnoticed by the older guys, a sign of amusement ran through his dichromatic eyes.
A moment later, three teens came out of the villa. One of the people was Akashi Seijuurou, whom Kuroko did not want to face at the moment. The same went for Furihata who was almost got stabbed with a pair of scissors by Akashi.
"Tetsuya, good evening. What a surprise to find you here. Are you here for vacation?" He said with a tone that could make shivers ran through Furi's spine. "Since you're here, why don't you stop by for a cup of tea? Reo and Kotarou could send your friend back to her hotel."
"It's okay. But I'm leaving. Can you give me the bags, Reo-san?" Kuroko reached for the bags. However Reo passed them to Hayama and pushed Furihata's back gently.
"We've got to leave now. Don't worry we'll safely take her back to the hotel." He pushed Furihata away from the other two while Hayama Kotarou walked beside them. "Hey, what's your name? Where's your hotel?"
"Kuroko-chan," Furi called for her friend. Kuroko, who was really annoyed, but not showed on the face, told her that she would be fine and walked into the house. Furi felt left behind. She was scared to walk with two unknown men, who were apparently happened to be the great uncrowned kings in the high school basketball circle.
"Hey, where're you staying at?" Reo asked again. Furi hid her face with her grocery bags and told her inn name awkwardly. "Relax, it's not like we're gonna rape you, little girl. You're acting like you have a crush on me that you're scared to show me your face."
"WHAT?" Furi yelled. Her face was completely red. "It's not like I'm in love with you." Her knees were a bit shaking, but she tried to hide. She knew herself that she was a coward and always tried not to get into troubles but the luck never favored her. She knew she should not be scared, but the pressure of the name called uncrowned kings really made her nervous.
"We're just kidding. Don't take the joke seriously. You are Kuroko-san's friend, right? What's your name?" The smaller one of the two boys laughed. At the same time, Reo took the grocery bags from her.
"Please, let me." Reo smiled.
"Umm, thanks. I'm Furihata Kouki, a manager of Seirin's basketball team. It's nice to meet you." She bowed.
"As you already knew, I'm Reo and that guy is Hayama Kotarou." Reo introduced once again.
"What's up?" Kotarou grinned. "So what're you doing here, at the beach?" He asked.
"We're here for the training camp and Kuroko-chan and I came to buy some grocery for the boys." She replied her answer. "Are you here for the training, too?"
"Kinda." Kotarou shrugged his shoulders. "Akashi said we're having a vacation, but we still have to do our daily practice."
"I see." Furihata responded. "Training sure is tough. Our coach is a devil when it comes to training. The boys really have to struggle." Then suddenly she stopped. "OH MY GOD! The boys! They might be starving right now. I haven't done anything for the dinner. I need to hurry." And she ran like a mad girl towards the inn. The two Rakuzan boys ran after her. Finally she stopped, panting heavily in front of the inn. "Thanks for everything." She bowed and took the bags. The boys carried the bags to the kitchen in the inn for her since she could not carry all of them by herself.
"It's okay." Hayama said.
"We'll leave them here." Reo placed the bags on the kitchen counter. "See you later." Before they reached the door, a group of people walked in.
"Hey, is the dinner ready?" Hyuuga Junpei, the captain of the Seirin basketball team asked. "Man, coach is really terrible. I'm beaten." He stretched his arms.
"How could she triple the training menu while we still have to have practice match with Shutoku." Izuki complained.
"Isn't in Junpei-chan and the players from Seirin? It's nice to see you guys, here." Reo said. The boys were surprised.
"Mibuchi Reo and Hayama Kotarou from Rakuzan! Why are you here?" Hyuuga shouted. '
"Maa, maa…. We're just escorting your lovely manager on her way from the supermarket, since we met her on her way." Reo answered.
"Where's Kuroko?" Kagami asked, looking around the group.
"Are you sure she's just unnoticed, Kagami?" Koganei Shinji said.
"Ah… About that we'll return her later since she's currently with Akashi to have some tea." Hayama told the Seirin boys. "Don't worry too much. Then we'll be leaving." As he said, he and Mibuchi walked through the door. "See you later in the winter cup."
"Furi, what happened?" Kiyoshi Teppei asked. She explained the whole things and started preparing the dinner. After dinner, Kuroko returned, but any of them asked what had happened with Akashi because it was her personal matter. However, during the remaining days of the training camp, they did not run into the Rakuzan players again.
