OK, chapter 15! The explanation of something that hasn't really come up before!
Chapter 15~One More Truth Revealed

When I woke up it was because I was about to hit the floor. Yup, I rolled off the bed and woke up right before I hit the floor. When I hit said floor there was a small thud. I gave a little "ow" and stood up. I walked over to the door and turned the knob. I stumbled down the stairs and into the kitchen. I looked up to see my mom staring at me.
"Good morning, Mom." I said giving her a small hug. Then I sat down at the table and put my head in my hands.
"I'm guessing you're the one the fell onto the floor." Rose said walking into the room
"Yup, that was me." I grumbled. I looked up at Carlisle. "Did you finish the tests?" I asked
"Yes, I'll tell you about the results a little later. I need to talk to your mom first though." My mom gave me a bowl of cereal that I wolfed down. Then I walked to my room to take a shower. When I looked in the mirror I saw that my eyes and hair were becoming bluer. I had noticed it before but the change from yesterday to today was pretty drastic. The shine was almost to a perfect indigo. The background color for my eyes was doing the same thing. I took my shower in silence. I got out and got dressed in clean simple cloths. I walked downstairs and ran straight into my dad.
"Oh, hey Ivy."
"Is mom still in the kitchen?"
"Yes she is." I headed to the kitchen. She was sitting at the table drinking a glass of chocolate milk. "Hey, Mom. I have a quick question."
"Ok, what is it?" she asked calmly.
"Do you know why my hair and eye color are changing?"
"Carlisle was doing some test on that. You should go ask him. I gave him permission to tell you. And before you say anything he had to ask because of the circumstances." She said. I ran upstairs and found Carlisle's office. I knocked twice.
"Come in Ivy, I'm guessing you came to hear the test results."
I walked in. he held out his hand pointing to a chair. I sat down.
"Ok, I talked to your mom after I finished the tests to confirm it, now don't freak out, but the tests show that you not exactly human…" he trail off
"Wait, how am I not exactly human?" I asked semi loudly.
"Well to put it simply you're one-fourth human."
"What are the other three-fourths?" I asked scared
"Well, this is where it splits even more. You are one eighth werewolf, but you are very unlikely to phase because of that fraction and you are a female. The other five eighths are what you mother calls Sirens."
I looked at him shocked. "Wait, you mean the people who sing to lure sailors into crashed rocks?" I asked
"The way your mother puts it is that you are mostly Siren but not fully, plus she says the myths aren't fully true."
"I'm guessing I have to go talk to my mom for the rest of the information?" I asked
"Yes, she only gave me a little information. She said that the information is supposed to be passed on from mother to daughter."
"Wait, my mom's a Siren to?" I asked shocked.
"The way she put it, yes." I got up and ran down stairs
"I'm guessing Carlisle told you the results?" my mom asked me when I found her.
"Yeah, could you fill me in on the rest?" I asked nicely
"Sure, but let's go somewhere a little more private." We walked a little ways into the woods. Then she turned to look at my, but she looked different. Her eyes were an electric blue; she also had the same color in her hair here and there. "We are both part Siren, your powers are just beginning to emerge. You have just barely begun to find the tip of the ice burg. If you want I will tell you about all the powers you have."
"Yes, please tell me, and…could you maybe teach me?" I asked
"I can only teach you a little bit, most Sirens have lived part of their life away from their family by the time they get their powers. For instance, when you went up for adoption. Things happen to Sirens for a reason. All Sirens have the same basic abilities except for one. These basic abilities include speed, strength, stealth, and their voice of course. There is one ability that is different for every Siren. Some Sirens have two of these abilities. These abilities are partially what makes a Siren unique. For instance, my ability is to sense when someone I care about is in danger. I think yours is being able to control your temperature. But I think you have another ability, but we'll work on that later. We have a week and three days to get you started so you can train on your own." She walked towards me and touched he finger to my forehead. I felt an electric charge go through my body. I fell to the ground closing my eyes in pain. When I opened them again I saw everything much clearer.
"Sorry about that, that's the only way to fully tap into your power." I stood up slowly. I looked up and I saw her running towards me. She was about to hit me but I dodged at the last second doing a back flip and using one hand to push off the ground to end up right side up.
"There we go, yup, you can used that ability to. Your eyes can predict attacks and your body reacts the way it needs to in order to dodge. Today we'll work on your appearance. In order to hide you must suppress you power, you must also be able to activate it at will."

My mom helped me with my training every day. Each day I was given a new task to get a hold of, and each day I completed that task. She finished teaching me everything within six days. I also found my second ability, it was teleportation. When we went back to the house on the sixth day and I took a shower. I released my "human" form. My eyes became an electric pure indigo and strips of the same color appeared in my hair. After I took my appearance in, I sealed it away again and hopped into the shower. After the first day my mom got me a pair of black and silver fingerless gloves. It turned out that once releasing a Sirens power for the first time, a crest is "carved" into the hand of the Siren. Mine was two squares one being diagonal, with two circles in them. The inner circle was smaller, then there were four lines that curved and made it look like two hourglass without tops crossing over each other. Then there were four swirling lines that created right angles in a way. All crests were different by shape and color. Mine was the color of the night sky. And when I activated my power it glowed. It turned out that Sirens were faster that vampires and almost as strong. I spent the next four days training by myself.
When those four days were over Rosalie took me to a separate building on the property that turned out to be where we would work on my album.
"Okay, would you like to do a tour once people start to recognize you?" she asked as she turned the studio on.
"That would be great. But let's focus on the album first." I said.
"Ok, let's start on the song that got you here, I'm guessing it wasn't finished."
"Yeah, not even close to being done." I said smirking. Hours passed as we on the mixer board. Eventually we called it a day and headed inside. I had been happy because I hadn't seen Seth since the whole jumping out of the car incident. But it appeared my luck had run out. As we walked into the kitchen I saw Seth sitting at the counter talking to my dad. I walked over and gave Dad a kiss on the cheek . "Do you know where Mom is? I need to ask her about…that." I said cautiously. It turned out my dad found out about the Siren thing the night I got tested. Mom said you weren't really supposed to tell anyone about it except the people who were closest to you.
"Yeah, she's up in our room." I ran upstairs and found my mom lying down in the bed. I closed the door and crawled next to her.
"Quick question, are there any side effects for being a Siren?"
"A few. Eye sight and hearing are greatly improved. After you release some of you features change, eye and hair color, and also your hair becomes stronger and thinker whether you want to or not. You also have a special aura that basically has guys following you like puppies. The only bad side effect is that your scent becomes more appealing to vampires."
"Is that why I was kidnapped when I was little?" I asked shocked.
"Probably, I was also attacked. I heard that Leah told you a quick story about me getting injured."
"Are you talking about when you got stabbed?"
"Yeah, a vampire did that. But you know what, you dad saved me before a fatal wound was dealt. That's one reason he sent you away, La Push is a good place for vamps, and he didn't want history to repeat itself."
"Thanks for telling me Mom, I'm going to go thank Dad to. You guys are the best." I got up and ran downstairs to the kitchen. I found that Seth was still there. I walked over and gave my dad a huge hug.
"What was that for?" he asked
"Mom told me what happened to her when you guys first met. She also said that's one reason that you sent me away, so history didn't repeat itself. I want to thank you for doing that." I said
"Well I'm glad to know you don't hate me anymore." He said laughing
"Eh, I still don't always like you, but I like you a whole lot more now." Then I leaned in close and said in barely a whisper so no one could hear. "I'm going to go train for a little while."
"Okay, come back with in an hour and a half, and don't knock yourself out." He said jokingly
"Okay, see you in a little while." I grabbed an apple on the way and took off running into the woods. When I was a safe distance from the house I removed my gloves and shoved them in my pocket. I closed my eyes and released my power. When I felt the familiar electric shock I opened my eyes and took a running leap towards a tree. I used it to bounce in between trees. Then when I felt satisfied I practiced my teleportation. When I heard twigs snapping I teleported onto a sturdy tree branch. I put my gloves back on so the light from my crest wouldn't show. When I saw it was Seth I immediately sealed away my power.
"Ivy, I know you're there. Just come out."
I released my power but I kept my gloves on. This was going to be a great training exercise. "What if I don't want to?" I said. I jumped to a tree on the other side of the clearing silently. I saw him looking to where my voice had come from.
"Ivy, I need to talk to you. Please come out."
"What if I don't want to?" I said again. I teleported to another tree a little bit away. I saw him turn around to where I had been again with confusion on his face.
"Please come out, for two reasons."
"What are they?" I teleported to the other side of the clearing again.
He turned again. "You dad told me to tell you that it was time for you to come home."
"I was just about to head back." I teleported to the other side again.
"He also gave me permission to tell you one main reason he sent you away when you were little. The explanation to everything that's happened." He said
That peaked my interest. I teleported to the ground making sure I was in the shadows so he could see my outline but not my actual appearance.
"Seth, whatever the secret is, I don't want to know. All things happen for a reason. I'll see you at the house." Then I took off running in the direction of the house. About halfway there I sealed my power which slowed me down. I reach the house and went into the kitchen. I ran into Danni who was getting a snack
My room, now. I thought as I passed
We reached my room and I locked the door.
"Okay, Danni I need to show you some things. The reason I'm showing you is because I don't want anyone to hear." I closed my eyes and thought about the over view of the information about Sirens and my training. Then I showed him my conversation with Seth.
"Why didn't you let him tell you?" he asked.
"Mom says that things happen to us for a reason, I think that it's supposed to be that way for now. I don't know why but I just didn't want to know."
He put his head in his hands. "You need to know, you really need to know as soon as possible. Because the longer you wait the more pain you're going to feel." He said.
"What pain?"
"The pain you feel when Seth is away. That pain, the longer you wait, the worse it will get."
"And how do you know that?" I asked
"Because Alexa went through it to, just not to the same degree as you did." He said quietly.
"I'm guessing you're not going to leave me alone until I say I'm going to talk to him…so how about this…when I complete my album and I'm ready to go on tour, then I'll ask Seth to tell me."
"I can agree to that. Now I'll leave you in peace."
"Wait, before you go. Do you want to see?" I asked
"See what? Oh, that sure."
"I want to race you when you're in your wolf mode though." He turned around and looked at me shocked. I opened my window and jumped out, landing in a silent crouch. I stood up and looked up at Danni.
"Well, are you coming?" I asked. He jumped out to
We walked into the forest, he went into the bushes then came back as a wolf. I took off my gloves then closed my eyes, I felt the electricity go down my spine and spread through my body. I opened my eyes and saw Danni backing away.
You're not scared are you? I taunted
Not even close. He growled. Then we both took off into the forest. I was staying right next to him, I wasn't even going all out. I could tell he was. I decided to tell him where we were going to stop. Then I took off at full speed. I quickly lost him and was at the finish line in an instant. I sat down on a rock with my arms and legs crossed. I closed my eyes and listened, I heard Danni a while before I could see him. I opened my eyes when I heard him go back to human form.
"Hey slow poke." I said almost laughing
"You are really fast…that's not cool."
"That's not all I can do." I quickly showed him the basics of my abilities. I did the teleportation last. I decided to teleport onto his back.
"Ok, that's awesome." He said
"Mom says I have two unique abilities. Teleportation and temperature control."
"Then how can you talk to me? Wouldn't it be a Siren thing?"
"I asked Mom, she said that I could do that because I was part werewolf and part Siren. The Siren DNA activated part of the werewolf DNA when I was born. At least that's how she put it." I said.
"This is awesome, my sister is a Siren, and soon she'll be a star. Can life get any better?" he asked. Then we headed back home.
