Chapter 21: I'm Baack

My dad helped me into the back of the car. Then he and Mom climbed in up front. We sped home and since it was ten o'clock, I decided to go to bed. I fell asleep but it was not peaceful. I dreamed about Seth in wolf form chasing after the female vampire. Then they came to a clearing were they circled each other. Then I saw Danni hiding in the shadows, he jumped out and began to attack. The vampire pulled out a knife. They began to try and attack each other. Back and forth but Danni missed a step and was about to be sliced. But then Seth jumped in front of the knife and it cut through his fur. The vampire walked up to Seth then got right in his face. Then she said in the craziest voice I've ever hear "I'm baack." Then she ran off into the woods. It felt like she was talking to me…not Seth. I woke up almost screaming. I heard a loud ouch downstairs. I rushed downstairs and into the living room. There I saw Seth lying face down on the couch with a deep cut on his back. I stood there with my knees shaking as I looked at all the blood. There was a lot of blood. My legs gave out and I fell to the floor, but no one heard. My mom was trying to clean the wound and my dad was holding Seth down. Danni was watching a few feet away. I clutched my chest as I felt a pain I hadn't felt before. The bad feeling I had gotten in the dream. It all happened when Seth got hurt. Danni turned around and saw me. He ran over and knelt beside me. There was so much blood, it was more than when I first scratched my chest apart. That had been the worst one. Danni started shaking me then I realized that he was trying to talk to me.

"Ivy, are you alright?" he asked scared

I tried to speak but only one thing came out. "So much blood…Seth…" I whispered. Just then Sam and Emily came into the house. Emily pulled me up the helped into a chair in the kitchen. I stared at the table's surface. The pain wasn't going away, and I felt cold. All I could think about was Seth and my dream. Emily grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around me. I still clutched my chest. Why did this have to happen…it had been two years since she last showed up to make a royal screw up of my life…my life was actually becoming normal again…but then she showed up. She had to ruin my perfectly semi normal life. Emily gave me a light hug then went to go help out with Seth. I sat there looking at the table I didn't hear anything except my slow heartbeat and my almost silent breathing. It was like my ears were plugged. I saw my mom walk in and wash her hands in the sink then she walked over to me and tried to get my attention. It didn't work. She gave up and walked out of the room. I couldn't think strait. The only thing that was running through my head was my dream and then seeing Seth bleeding over and over. I kept getting colder and colder until I felt a warm hand on my shoulder. When it didn't make me scream I looked up to see Seth smiling at me. I jumped up and wrapped my arms around his neck. I cried into his neck.

"Seth, I'm so glad you're all right!" I cried

"I'm fine, it's just a scratch." He said. I closed my eyes and sighed. I showed him my dream. I opened my eyes and looked at him. "How did you know that?" he asked

"I dreamed it. I saw everything. I'm just glad you're still alive." I said as my voice cracked at the end.

"Ivy, you can't act like nothing happened. If she-"

"I don't care what happens to me…I just don't want anyone one else to get hurt because of me." I said smiling tearfully.

"Will someone explain to me what's going on?" my dad asked. I buried my head into Seth's neck, breathing in his scent. It reminded me of a forest, and it always calmed me down.

"She's back…" Seth said softly pulling me closer, surrounding me in his warmth.

"Who is?" my mom asked sounding worried.

"The leech that's after Ivy…" he said softly.

I heard everyone gasp in shock, but I just kept my head on Seth's chest breathing in his scent. I was happy just to be here in Seth's arms. I closed my eyes and blocked the world from my senses. I felt Seth pick me up and carry me up to my room. I opened my eyes and smiled at him. He looked worried but I knew that he was happy on the inside. He pulled back the covers and put me in the bed. He started to walk away but I grabbed his hand.

"Please, don't go." I said softly.

"I'll be back soon. Just go to sleep, my sweet imprint." He said as I fell into a deep sleep.

I woke up to my alarm clock and Seth lying down with his back facing towards me. I could see a fading scar on his back. I hit the button on my alarm and dragged myself out of bed. I put on my fluffy black robe and walked downstairs. I found my mom in the kitchen cooking breakfast.

"Good morning." she said without turning around.

"Good morning." I replied as I sat down on a chair. I heard someone stubble down and then Danni appeared in the kitchen. My mom set down bowls of oatmeal for both of us, and then we ate in silence. Danni because he was hungry, me because I was reading Danni's mind without him knowing. It was actually quite fascinating to me. He always seemed to be thinking about Alexa, except when he was extremely troubled. Then it occurred to me. He imprinted on Alexa. I smiled slightly to myself. I got up and got dressed for school. I got a piggy back ride from Danni as we headed to school.

"Did you imprint on Alexa?" I asked. Danni suddenly stopped and looked up at me

"How do you know about that?" he asked

"Well…let's see, I have an imprint, it almost killed me a couple times, and I was reading your mind this morning. I put the pieces together and guessed." I said smirking

"Wait, when did you find out that Seth imprinted on you?" he asked

"Hmmm, how about right before I went to Carlisle's house to get patched up." I said pointing to my still fading injuries.

"Well then…I did imprint on Alexa, but she only knows the surface of the imprint." He said

"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked confused

"It means that I can't tell you, Seth has to talk about the deeper imprint to you. Although I'm pretty sure your guys are already a couple layers deep. Soon enough there won't be turning back." He said with a warning in his voice.
