So once again I have to start by apologizing for the delay of posting this chapter. To say real life has been messy lately would be an understatement. Anyway, here be chapter nine, enjoy!

Chapter nine
You have to tell me EVERYTHING!
Spencer returned home after his date with Aaron with an almost dreamy expression. Yes, they had taken the relationship to a more physical level sooner than planned, but their talk following had convinced both men that neither regretted anything. They had also decided to let the others in the band know about them since Emily had known beforehand about Aaron's feelings for Spencer and Derek had known about Spencer's feelings for Aaron.
"Why, Boy Wonder, don't you look exhilarated?" Penelope said as Spencer walked into the elevator.
He jumped slightly, startled out of his thoughts as she spoke. The fact that he had been so lost in thought and didn't notice her first made him blush slightly.
"Hi Pen"
"Yes, hello to you young genius and all other pleasantries that you might want to share. Now tell me exactly what has my Boy Wonder smiling like that! Oh! Well of course, it has to be a 'who' not a 'what'! Tell me!"
Spencer blinked in slight surprise; Penelope's words had been spoken fast. When he realized what had been said the blush on his face deepened.
"Oh I KNEW it!" she squealed at Spencer's unspoken answer. "You have to tell me EVERYTHING!" she continued before dragging Spencer with her out of the elevator to the door to her apartment.
"Pen… I… It's late, can we talk tomorrow?"
"Tomorrow is too late. I need to know now! Now speak, young one!" she exclaimed, making Spencer sit down on her couch.
Spencer sighed, but couldn't help the smile now spreading on his face. It was pointless trying to get out of telling this woman anything, she could read him like a book. To her it would never matter what time of the day it was, when she wanted to know something she wanted it now.
"Fine. I… Well I sort of… IhadadatewithAarontonight" he said quickly.
"What? You… OH! A date with Aaron? That's simply WONDERFUL! You have to tell me all about it!"
With a smile and a small blush Spencer told Penelope about the date with her asking questions along the way about practically everything. When he got to the part about going back to Aaron's apartment he paused and felt his blush deepen. As usual in these kinds of situations he damned his fair skin.
"And then? You can't have been coming back here after that, it's late. You went to his place didn't you?" Penelope was almost jumping up and down in her seat when Spencer nodded. "Oh, this is all too exciting! Then what happened?"
He couldn't help but to smile, Penelope sure had a tendency to get worked up like a kid when she thought something was exciting.
"I… Um, we… eh" was everything the guitarist managed to say. Spencer really didn't like talking about this, but he also knew Penelope wouldn't let it go.
"You did, didn't you? Tell me, hot stuff singer good in he sack?"
Spencer didn't think it to be possible, but he felt his face heat up even more, Surely he looked like a tomato by now.
"We, uhm… didn't get quite that far" he mumbled.
"Alright, but I take it something happened, otherwise you wouldn't be blushing so harshly. So what did you boys get around to doing? Handjobs? Blowjobs? Oh this is too exciting!"
"Well, uhm we… Can we not talk about this?"
"Fine, be a spoilsport! Can you at least tell me what's happening next? Are you going out again? Bet it would be really awkward if you didn't."
"I… Yes, we will be going out again. We had a talk, well, um, after… and we decided to try this" Spencer said, still feeling rather awkward talking about this.
"You seem to really like him" Penelope stated.
"I do. I really do like him a lot Pen."
"And Hotch-man?"
"He says he likes me too, I am trying my best to believe him. I just, well, after how bad things ended with Lila I'm afraid. I just don't want to be hurt like that again Pen."
"Oh my little genius. Should he hurt you like that, be sure he'll find himself missing his balls."
Aaron couldn't stop grinning. He had been walking around in his apartment grinning like a fool ever since Spencer had left. Their earlier activities had been very enjoyable, but what had Aaron grinning like a fool was what had happened after.
After cleaning themselves up they had sat down to talk. They had quickly come to an agreement; they both didn't want this to be a one-time thing. Sure, it might be too soon to call it a relationship, but they seemed to be on equal ground regarding to what they wanted. During the talk Spencer had been snuggled up in Aaron's arms, and Aaron hadn't wanted the evening to end. Unfortunately Spencer had to work in the morning.
Now Aaron felt restless. He wasn't tired at all. This is what had him walking around in his apartment with a huge grin. He was interrupted in his aimless pacing when the phone rang.
"Hotchner" he answered, picking up the phone.
"Really Aaron? Still haven't dropped the stiff formal greeting?"
"Haley, hi."
"Nice talking to you too Aaron. How are you?"
"I'm good, what can I do for you?"
"Oh Aarn, how nice of you to ask, I am doing very well! Are you busy? Is that's why my oh-so-pleasant friend doesn't have time to ask how a girl is doing?"
"Sorry Haley, glad to hear you're well. Now can I ask why you called?"
"Apology accepted. As always. No particular reason, just wanted to talk. I'm bored out of my mind, and you're the only one I was certain hadn't gone to bed. So, anything new happened? Other than the amazing performance your band pulled at the competition, I've of course heard about that already!"
Aaron couldn't help but to chuckle. Haley was the only one who would put Aaron in his place like that. Not surprising, she was after all a very close friend. Now as he was talking to her he realized he really did want to tell her about Spencer.
"Actually yes, I do have news. I've started seeing someone."
"Really? Aaron, that's wonderful! Tell me all about him!"
Aaron felt really lucky to have a friend like Haley; she was always there for him, whatever he needed. She was also the first person he told that he was gay.
"He is incredible Haley. Spencer is such a great person. Warm and kind and smart. Well, not smart, the man is a freaking genius! I mean he has multiple PHD's. And he has these incredible hazel eyes."
"You sound smitten Aaron, that's great! I'm happy for you! How did you meet?"
"Ah, well, he is our new guitarist, Elle's replacement."
"Figure you would go for a musician. Wouldn't that be awkward though, if things were to end?"
"Then I'd leave should things end badly. I won't have him leaving the band due to me. He get's along far to well with Derek and Emily for that, which is unusual. He is kind of awkward around people."
"Sounds like you've given this a lot of thought Aaron. He must be something else if you'd be ready to give up your place in the band for him to be happy."
"He's worth it. Spencer deserves everything. Haley, I've never felt this way about anyone before. I'm really falling for him."
"So I hear. Just don't loose yourself Aaron, you deserve happiness too. If you can find it with Spencer then that's great. So, a guitarist huh? Is he as good with his hands as the instrument he plays would suggest?"
Again Aaron couldn't help the chuckle escaping his mouth. Haley was not only the one person who could put Aaron in his place, but she was also the only one who could tease him like this and get away with it. Other than Spencer he would assume. Not that Spencer had been doing any teasing yet.
"You have no idea Haley; his hands are very talented indeed. They are, however, no match for his very talented mouth."
At this he could hear Haley coughing followed by intense giggling.
"I bet. Well, it's getting late. Talk to you soon okay? And Aaron, I am really happy for you."
"Goodbye Haley" Aaron replied before hanging up the phone.
Shaking his head Aaron walked to his bedroom. The singer was really fond of Haley and had no doubt in his mind that she would be thrilled to hear he was happy. He had also meant it when he told her that he had fallen hard for Spencer. Never could Aaron remember meeting someone who had grabbed his full attention as quickly as Spencer had. Ever since the first day the guitarist had walked in to their rehearsal space Aaron had been falling for the man.
If he didn't know better Aaron would say that he was in love. But it was way too soon for that, wasn't it?
Okay, so, hopefully this chapter didn't bore you to death. I wanted more Penelope Garcia and since Spencer got to talk things through with a friend I figured it was fair for Aaron to do the same. It is more like a filler-chapter than anything else, but I felt it to be necessary. I am also aware that it is on the shorter side, but I wanted to break it here.
Next chapter should come along shortly as chapter ten will be on the shorter side as well.
As always I'd like to remind you that Zandii does love her reviews!
