So, I know it has been a long long long long long long long time since I last updated but if it's any consolation or help- I have been writing a book that I took loosely the ideas from all of my fanfics.

So, here we go- an update! FINALLY!

WOOP WOOP

Enjoy x

When Jade made it up to the house site it was already midday, and she had been so busy getting Faith and CJ to their nursery and pre-school that she hadn't eaten anything, and she was looking around the partially completed house when she found Elliot.

He was directing a group of builders and grinned when he saw his niece 'well, well, well, I didn't expect to see you here'

'I was just checking how the house was coming along, I know me and Luke have been a bit absent recently but we've just had tons on our plate, I haven't even had time to eat today'

Elliot glanced at his watch 'well I can take some time for lunch if you wanted to go now?'

Jade thought for a second and nodded 'Sure, I haven't been out for food in forever'

'The kids running riot?'

'You have no idea. Faith is currently trying to make Luke redecorate her room and fill it with new furniture, which you know he will'

'Well, that girl does have her father wrapped around he little finger. Didn't you repaint her room the other week?'

'Yep, she now doesn't want pink, she wants me to do animals or something'

Elliot laughed 'Right, well we should get going if we want to make lunch'

They had gone to a diner and Elliot had got a burger whilst Jade had ordered a huge breakfast platter for herself, wolfing it down as if she hadn't eaten in weeks.

Jade had wanted to tell Elliot about her news but had held back. Elliot had been a father figure to Jade when she was young and Christian hadn't known how to treat her, but now Jade knew that she had to tell her father first, before anyone else.

The following day Christian was in his office waiting for Andrea to come back with a report and barely acknowledged the knock at his half open door with more than a murmur and didn't look up from his computer.

'I didn't know I had to make an appointment to see my Dad'

Christian looked up with surprise 'Oh, Jade, I assumed you were Andrea sorry. Is everything okay?'

Jade twisted her mouth and managed a half shrug/nod 'Yeah'

'Well that wasn't very convincing'

She shook her head emphatically 'no Dad everything is good, it's brilliant actually. I just need to talk to you about something'

Christian looked a little worried but glanced at his computer 'I can take an hour now? If you don't think you're too big and important to have your Dad buy you lunch?'

Jade laughed, shaking her head 'I'm never too old for that'

As they had left the office Christian had asked Andrea to book them a table at the Italian restaurant only a few blocks away. Clearly the Grey name still held a lot of weight as by the time Christian and Jade had made the short walk to the restaurant they were ushered to a little booth table in a quiet corner, despite the fact it was very busy.

Christian ordered a white wine for himself and a red wine for Jade without asking. 'How did you know that was what I was going to order?'

'Because you're my daughter, it's my job to know. Teddy's too young, he's just into milk and mashed food'

She laughed 'you and Ana really did make a cute kid'

'Well, I've got some adorable grandchildren as well, so clearly I've got a very strong set of genes'

'Yeah, about the kids…'

'Is everything okay?'

'Oh no, no don't worry, CJ and Faith are both fine… did Granddad tell you anything about the adoption plans?'

'I asked and he said that he was working as your lawyer, that was all I've heard. Luke has been with Ana a lot recently, so I haven't really kept up. Good news?'

Jade's face lit up and she tapped her phone quickly before turned the iPhone around to show her father a picture of two small babies sleeping side by side in a crib.

'We're bringing them home next week Daddy'

Luke was stretched out on the sofa looking exhausted when Jade had come home that day, having a meeting with a company on the other side of the City about what they wanted for the paintings she was doing for them.

The traffic had been awful but luckily Luke had been around to pick both of the children up to bring them home.

Luke had a slightly guilty look on his face when he glanced up to say hello and Jade narrowed her eyes 'You gave in didn't you?'

Luke feigned innocence 'I have no idea what you're talking about?'

'Oh really? So if I go into Faith's room she won't have that new bed she wanted?'

Luke shrugged, not even trying anymore 'You know I can't say no to that girl, I'm a sucker for a cute smile- why do you think I married you?'

She laughed as he pulled at her hand so that she was sitting across his lap 'Oh really?'

'That's all it took, one look at that smile and I knew I was going to marry you'

'Even though you were there for a job interview with my Dad?'

Luke smirked 'ah he's not that scary'

Jade raised an eyebrow and Luke laughed 'no, he's pretty scary I'll give him that. I nearly threw up when I went to the apartment to ask if I could marry you'

She kissed him gently and they sat with their foreheads touching 'Where are the kids?'

'CJ's exhausted, he fell asleep in the car on the way back, and Faith is in her room reading'

'I'll go and read to her in a minute. I told my dad today by the way, I showed him the pictures of the twins'

'How did he react?'

Jade glanced up 'He was happy. He was really, really happy. I think he was trying not to cry'

I think he'd be happy that his daughter was so happy.

Let me know what you think and what you want to see. x
