"Hey" Teddy slumped beside me on the couch as i watched a disney movie. Avery was napping
"Why are you watching the little mermaid?"
"Because Aves always talks about this and i have no idea what she's saying"
He chuckled "you're a good mom Lib"
"Don't sound so surprised i thought i was an amazing god parent to Mase"
"You are! He's lucky to have you but you always said you wanted to focus on your career"
"I did focus, but i'm 32. I'm not going to wait around for the right guy"
"Liv, you haven't dated in forever and when you do you always find something wrong with them"
I rolled my eyes "We were talking about Avery"
"Right" he chuckled "She's witty, just like you"
"I'm obsessed with her" i smiled "So, what's going on with you?"
He groaned "the firm is trying to close this big case"
Teddy made partner of a law firm two years ago and was quickly working his way up.
"So?"
"So i'm stressed and Lex wants another kid and she wants one now"
"You don't want another one?"
"Have you met Mason? He's like the exact version of me." He joked "it's not that it's just.. I'm stressed and a baby is supposed to be a happy time"
"Well have you told her that?"
"No, i just said no"
I laughed "your wife does not back down from just a no, just explain it and i'm sure she will wait a few months"
He nodded and stuck out a fist for me to hit with my own fist.
