FITZ'S POV

I walked into the living room hearing a cell phone ring.

"Olivia Pope" Liv answered "Hey Abs" she looked outside the back window and waved at Avery as she played on the playground with Mason.

"You tell the Senator that unless he wants me to slap him with a restraining order he will stay away from my office" i worried for her and watched as she asked about a case "Tell Harrison to get behind the media, make sure he spins the story and tell Huck- yes i know you guys can handle it" she laughed "i've never took vacation. It's a bit weird"

"Mmm, she's good. Better than last week" she paused "things are fine" i started walking away as she started to turn towards the door.

(Break)

It was thanksgiving dinner and everyone was going around the table saying what they were grateful for.

"Okay baby, say something you are grateful for"

"Like my books?" Avery tilted her head and smiled up at Liv as she sucked her thumb. Liv gently removed her thumb from her mouth

"If you want" Liv smiled

"I thankful for my mommy! And my nana Em, and my poppy and my Unca Teddy and Auntie Lex and Mason and Fitz!" She smiled as she hid in Liv's arm.

"Good job Aves"

I watched as Liv helped Avery cut her turkey and everyone started their own separate conversations.

"You like turkey Fitz?" Avery whispered across from me. Her big green eyes eyed my plate.

"Not that much, do you?"

"Mhm! My old mommy never fed me big meals like my new mommy does" Liv looked over and her face fell. She rubbed Avery's back and sighed.

"I like my new mommy better though"

"Yeah?" I smiled "uh huh! She gives me lots of kisses before bed and we play dolly's together and she's really nice"

Liv smiled and kissed Avery's head.

"Finish eating bug"

"Kay mommy"

After desert Avery held her stomach in and stared at me.

"You think my tummy fat Fitz? My old mommy told me dat"

Liv looked up at me with sad eyes

"You are beautiful baby, you're perfect. No chubby tummy" Liv answered

"Kay mommy"

(Break)

"Hello?" I answered my phone

"Sir, i just wanted to run your first 100 days by you"

"Cy, you should be spending time with James not working"

"James is fine" he grumbled and i listened to him go on and on about the first 100 days.

"Make sure you put a gala for my father's company dinner on the 23rd" i reminded him

"Of course sir"

"Thank you, i should get going"

"Bye Sir" i hung up and watched as Teddy and Lex went out for a date leaving Mason at home with the rest of us.

"Hi" i said as i sat down across from Liv at the kitchen table as she looked over a file. Her hair was curly and in a messy bun, she was already in pyjamas.

"Hello" she nodded and went back to reading the file.

"Aren't you supposed to be relaxing?"

She looked up at me "i am relaxing" she furrowed her eyebrows. I realized her wall was 10x thicker than when i had first met her. She started gathering her papers up.

"Wait Liv, we haven't gotten to talk yet. We're both leaving tomorrow and everyone else is asleep"

She folded her arms and pursed her lips "What's there to talk about Governor?"

I shifted as she watched me, almost daring me to say something.

"I don't want it to be awkward, you have clearly become close to my family and i think we've avoided each other long enough and i want to apologize for hurting you. I didn't-"

She stood quickly "i'm going to need more than 48 hours to get used to you when you clearly dismissed me and your family for years if i was around-"

"No. I just-"

"It's fine and the last thing i need to do is forgive you Fitz, i let it go a very long time ago. Now if you'll excuse me i'm going to bed. Good night"

Olivia forgot how well i knew her at one point, when she pursed her lips she was lying through her teeth. I knew there was no way in hell she had forgiven me yet.

(Break)

"We should get going Aves" Liv gently lifted Avery off of the couch

"Ohtay mommy" she sucked her thumb. It was 8pm Teddy's family had already left.

"Say goodbye to Grandpa and Fitz"

"Bye little dar" Dad smiled and kissed Avery's head

"Bye poppy" Avery turned towards me and reached her arms out surprisingly. Liv's eyebrows rose but she handed her to me.

"Bye Fitz!"

"See you soon sweet heart" she smiled and leaned over slowly kissing me on my cheek. She turned a bright red as Liv took her back.

"My little leading lady" Liv laughed as Avery went off to find Mom.

"Bye Fitz, good luck on your first 100 days" Liv waved awkwardly

"I'll see you soon Livvie" i smiled. She halted in her steps but didn't look back as she left the house with Avery
