Chapter Two
Arthur looked around the kitchen to see that only one plate and cup was left untouched Arthur got to work on making lunch and then put breakfast on before starting to clean away the broken plates and cups of course Arthur cut his feet a few times but nothing too bad, once all the glass was thrown in the bin Arthur walked upstairs and woke Cenred before going to pack his bags for him, when Arthur when to pack Cenred's toothbrush Arthur smirked and dropped it into the toilet before putting away in Cenred's bag.
"Thanks for breakfast sexy" Cenred said as he throws the plate to the ground along with the cup
"See you on Monday and this place better be clean or else" And with that he was out the door
The first time Arthur did was put on some sweat pants and a shirt before calling into work say that he won't be coming in before getting to work on his list, an hour later Arthur found Morgana and Leon banging on his front door
"Hey what's wrong?" Arthur asked opening the door
Morgana throw her arms around her younger brother
"Oh thank the gods you're ok" Morgana whispered
"Of course I am" Arthur said pulling back
"When dad said you called in sick I thought…" Morgana stopped herself
"Hey it's ok" Arthur whispered pulling her back into his arms
The last time Arthur had called in sick was because Cenred had beaten him black and blue, He knew it scared his sister.
"What the hell happen in here?" Leon asked as they moved into the house
"It's my reason for calling in sick I need to get this all done if I want to go to the wedding and relax" Arthur said as he bent down
Leon and Morgana noticed that Arthur was moving slowly and that he winced when bending down
"Arthur, are you ok?" Leon asked
"I'm fine" Arthur replied
"You don't look it what time did Cenred let you sleep?" Morgana asked
"He didn't" Arthur muttered
The only reason Arthur could talk to them about his life with Cenred was because a few months after he started dating Cenred Morgana and Leon had come to visit and found him getting beaten by Cenred, Morgana threated to call the police but Cenred pulled a knife on them and threated to kill Arthur if they so much as breathed a word to anyone.
"What? Arthur what happened?" Morgana asked
"Cenred was just horny that's all" Arthur answered
"Arthur go upstairs and sleep we're got this don't worry" Morgana said
"I can't ask you to do this" Arthur whispered
"Mate you're not, now give me that list" Leon said
"Clean the bathroom with your toothbrush? That's just sick" Morgana complained
"Well at less it didn't go down the toilet" Arthur laughed
"What?" Both Morgana and Leon asked
"I might have dropped Cenred's toothbrush down the toilet" Arthur answered
"That a boy" Morgana laughed
"Now upstairs I'll come wake you in a bit" Morgana promised
While Arthur slept Morgana tidied up the house while Leon when shopping for food and plates, he also bought Arthur a new toothbrush.
Morgana didn't wake Arthur until it had gone 3 in the afternoon
"How did you sleep?" Leon asked as they came downstairs
"Best night's sleep I've had in 2 years" Arthur answered sitting down
"You really didn't have to do all this" Arthur replied
"We wanted to now shh and eat" Morgana said smiling
During dinner Morgana and Leon talked about their friend's upcoming wedding
"Arthur did you know Merlin's coming to the wedding?" Morgana asked
"No" Arthur answered looking down
"Maybe you two can talk, Merlin might be able to help" Morgana whispered
"I doubt he would want anything to do with me" Arthur said
"You guys are meant to be I just know it" Morgana said giving Arthur a hug
"Maybe in a different world, but in this one I lost him because I was stupid" Arthur answered

The wedding was beautiful it reminded Arthur so much of his wedding to Merlin even more so when he saw Merlin up front as Lancelot's best man, then again it would of surprised Arthur if he chose anyone else seeing as Merlin and Lance have been friends since they were children.
Of course people noticed that Arthur was moving slowly but knew better than to say anything.
They were all just grateful that Cenred wasn't there and that they could have their Arthur for a little while longer.
Arthur was standing outside getting some air when he felt someone pat his shoulder coursing him to hiss
"Arthur, are you ok?" Arthur had worked so hard to keep that voice alive inside his head and he was finally hearing it out loud
Slowly Arthur turned and smiled when he saw Merlin
"Of course I am. It's good to see you again" Arthur said softly
"It's good to see you too….I've missed you" Arthur smiled when he heard Merlin's French accent come throw
"I've missed you too, more than you know" Arthur side looked away
"What have you been up to since we broke up?" Merlin asked
"Oh just living life really. You?" Arthur didn't want Merlin to know about Cenred
"Working" Merlin looked over Arthur watching him closely
"Morgana told me your dating" Merlin asked
"Yeah, Cenred he's away at the moment" Arthur looked away
"Are you happy?" Merlin asked
Morgana, Uther and even Ygraine had filled Merlin in on their thoughts of the man Arthur was dating
"No, I haven't been happy in over two years" Arthur whispered tears starting to form
Merlin took Arthur's hand while he wrapped away Arthur's tears with his another hand
"Did you really miss me?" Arthur asked
Merlin let his own tears fall then
"Every day and night Arthur we both did"
Arthur pulled Merlin into his arms and together they sobbed into each other's necks when Merlin's phone when off they pulled apart
"Sorry it's my mum" Merlin replied wrapping his tears away
"That's ok, I'll go inside" Arthur went to move but Merlin wouldn't let go of Arthur's hand
"Stay, I'm sure you would love to hear Luke" Merlin smiled
"Hey mum"
"Hey baby, how was the wedding?"
"It was good Mum, Gwen and Lance their love. How's Luke?"
"That's good. Luke's being an Angel. Wait here he is"
"Daddy?"
"Hi Baby, are you being good for nana?"
"I always good daddy"
"Of course you are baby I love you"
"I love you too daddy"
"Daddy needs to go now baby"
"Ok daddy"
"I'll be home soon baby, you be good"
"Bye bye daddy"
"Bye bye Luke"
Merlin had to laugh when the line when dead, Merlin looked up at Arthur to see him with tears in his eyes
"Wanna see pictures" Merlin asked
Arthur nodded
For a while they sat in silent and just looked at pictures of Luke growing up.
"I missed so much of his life, so much of yours" Arthur whispered wrapping his tears away
"It's ok" Merlin replied putting his phone away
Arthur stood up and pulled Merlin up with him
"Dance with me" Arthur asked
Merlin smiled and wrapped his arms around Arthur waist, Arthur rested his forehead on Merlin's and smiled happy to stay like that forever, slowly Arthur leaned down and kissed Merlin who kissed him back just as passionately.
"I don't want this night to end Merlin" Arthur whispered kissing Merlin again
"Arthur I know about your boyfriend" Merlin replied
"What? There's nothing to no" Arthur said quickly
"Arthur I can see the signs. I heard what our friends had said but more importantly this gave it away" Merlin pulled up Arthur sleeve to show off one of Arthur faded bruises, and to Arthur's horror the one Merlin had seen was in a shape of a hand print.
"Merlin" Arthur started
"Let me help you Arthur even if it's just talking. Please let me help you" Merlin whispered
Arthur couldn't stop the tears it seem all he could do at that moment
"Please baby let me help you" Merlin whispered wrapping away Arthur's tears
"Why do you care?" Arthur asked
"Because I love you Arthur" Merlin whispered kissing Arthur's tears away
"Really?" Arthur asked daring to hope
"With all my heart" Merlin whispered kissing Arthur on the lips
"I love you too" Arthur whispered wrapping his arms around Merlin
For the rest of the night Arthur and Merlin talked about Luke and avoided talking about Cenred, Arthur had asked Merlin to come to his office on Monday so that he could finally open up to someone.
When it was time to say goodbye Arthur wrapped his arms tightly round Merlin and whispered 'I love you' before watching Merlin drive away
