"So, don't get too intimidated by my team. You've met them all before but-"

"Your words" she said as she pulled open the iron bar elevator and opened a glass door that was fogged with her name on it. She walked through the doorway and onto wooden floors on the right was an office filled with electronics, on the left were two more offices followed by a large conference room where i saw Ms. Tanner's picture posted onto the wall. Liv pulled open the door and everyone sat up and looked towards us.
"Guys, you all remember Fitz" Liv moved the chair and offered me to sit. I watched as Abby came over and kissed my cheek
"Good to see you Tripp"
"You too Abs"
"Although the positions you choose-" she winked
"Abby!" Liv laughed. I watched as Liv sat at the end of the table and listened as they went into details about Ms. Tanner's family and income.
"I want who she's working with i don't think she's smart enough to blackmail a Governor all alone so Huck and Quinn you'll be coming with us tomorrow"
"No problem Liv"
"Actually yes it is" Quinn crossed her arms
"Quinn, not now please" Liv sighed
"Yes now" she stood and opened a door waiting for Liv to join her.
"She always could push Liv's buttons" Abby said as Huck and her walked away. Harrison nodded and walked to his own office. I sat there listening as Quinn started pacing
"What are you doing? You're just helping him? He hurt you! You were a mess for months! And when you finally got better you changed"
"Quinn, i'm fine. He's family, i'm doing this for my family"
"I'm your family"
"I know Quinn but the Grants-"
"Asked you to help?"
"No, he's my family and he worked for this"
"I am not on this case" Quinn's heels came towards the door and slammed the front door of OPA as she left.
"You can come in" Liv called out. i walked into see her hanging her coat up against a coat hanger as she sat behind a wooden desk. She turned on the Tv and it went straight to the news.
"So, tomorrow we fly back at 6am you should be back in time for your meeting at 12. Don't ask me how i know that." She smiled "now before i leave i have one rule with all of my clients, they don't lie. I am not Livvie on this i'm Olivia Pope, i'm working and you are my client so i'm going to ask you some questions and you have to tell me the truth"
"No problem" i nodded and watched her.
"Did you sleep with Ms. Tanner?"
"No"
"Did you make any sexual comments towards Ms. Tanner?"
"Liv i'm not-"
"I'd like to think i know you're not that type of guy but these are questions i have to ask you"
"Fine" i rolled my eyes and looked out the window at the amazing view of the capitol.
"Has ever mad suggestive comments towards you?" I looked over at her and nodded "like?"
"She asked me out for a drink, i declined , end of story"
"Okay" she nodded and wrote some things down.
"You always talk about the man i've become, look at this office Livvie. You're known world wide." I looked towards her "guess we're quite the pair"
She rolled her eyes and got up moving around her office. Throughout the day she was busy with each member of her team. At 12 Tom notified me that the SUV was waiting in the back to pick up Avery from school.
"Liv, see you when i get back"
She nodded clearly in the zone and waved her hand. Abby smiled and waved as well.
"Hey bro" Teddy chuckled as Mason flung himself onto my legs as i ran into them at the front door of the preschool entrance
"Hey"
"So, you're picking Aves up now" he wiggled his eyebrows
"Relax, i promised Avery i would"
"Mhm, how long you here for?"
"Tomorrow morning just a quick visit"
"I'm sure it is" he laughed . I turned to Mason.
"It amazes me how immature your father is and you are so well turned out"
"Hey mommy says that too!"
I chuckled and kissed Mason "see you soon buddy"
"Bye uncle Fitz" he waved as Teddy swung him over his shoulder. I walked up to Avery's class and stepped in to see her holding her backpack as she spoke to another little girl in line.
"Avery" Mrs. Harper called out. I watched Avery grin and say goodbye to the little girl before she ran over towards me and hugged me as i bent down and picked her up.
"You came back" she whispered as we walked through the hallway.
"Of course i did, how was your first day?"
"Fun! I got to read some letters on the board all by myself!" She said proudly as we walked through the door and out the back towards the SUV.
"School wasn't so bad"
"No but i missed mommy, is she at our house?"
"No she's at work"
"With Auntie Quinn and Uncle Huck?"
"Uncle huck is there" i nodded
"Kay"
I watched as she twirled in circles around me as i opened the elevator gate. She giggled loudly as she slowed down and dashed towards Liv's office.
"Mommy!"
"Hey bug!" I watched Liv plop herself on the wooden floor in the middle of her office as Avery sat in her lap clutching to her chest. "Did you have a good day at school?"
"Yes but i miss you"
"I missed you too baby" she smiled as Avery stood and took her Doll from a chair in Liv's office.
"Your mom called when you were gone, she wants us to have dinner and bring Avery's stuff over since we'll be going in the morning"
"We're sleeping at Nana Em's?!"
"Yep"
"Cool" she smiled and ran over to Huck's office.
"What's wrong?" I asked as Liv started packing her things up.
"Nothing"
"Try again"
"She's going to freak out when she finds out i'll be leaving"
"You don't-"
"Let's just go"
I dropped Liv and Avery off at their apartment and went off towards the estate.
Dinner was quiet since it was just the four of us. Mom went to bed after because she was tired and would be getting up with Avery tomorrow.
"Time for bed bug" Liv came downstairs in a pair of silk pyjamas as she closed her thick cardigan.
"Can Fitz read me bedtime story?" She pouted
"Just one" Liv caved and went towards the kitchen as i helped Avery upstairs. Surprisingly she went over to Liv' room and i stepped inside awkwardly noticing the bed and the guard realizing she slept with Liv.
"Night time pampers first baby" Liv came into the room and held up some pampers as Avery wiggled down and into the bathroom. They came back a few moments later and Avery grabbed her doll from the chair and brought it right beside her in the bed going over to the side with the guard on it. Once i had read the book to her she smiled up at me.
"You be here tomorrow Fitz?"
"Fitz has to go back to California tomorrow"
"Oh" she pouted
"Bug, mommy has to go with him for one day"
"You're leaving?!" Avery scrambled up and started crying. "Don't leave me mommy! Please don't leave me! I'll be a good girl promise!" I watched as Liv's face fell and i realized Avery was scared Liv was leaving her because she acted up.
"Aves mommy loves you, she doesn't want to leave you" Liv tried
"Yes you do, or else you would bring me!"
"You have school and i'm not going to have fun i'm going for work"
"Work?"
"Yep, i'm going to help Fitz with work"
She kept crying even though it was explained "But i have nightmares when you go way!"
"I'm sure Nana Em won't mind sleeping in here with you and you can call me anytime you want okay?"
She nodded and clutched onto Liv as she hiccuped.
"How about we go to bed now?" Liv stood her up as Avery hugged me.
"See you soon okay?"
"Kay" i kissed her head and said goodnight to Liv waiting as she got situated and Avery curled up against her sucking her thumb as i turned off the light.
Avery's whines were heard the next morning as Liv woke her to say goodbye but within a few seconds they were gone as Liv came down the stairs with Mom behind her.
"She's not allowed any sugar this today, Fitz already fed her a donuts this week and don't let her talk you into taking Lyssy to school."
"Olivia i've had 3 toddlers"
"I know, i'm sorry" Liv sighed "i'm just nervous"
"She will be fine, i'll see you tomorrow morning"
Liv nodded and hugged her quickly before letting us say goodbye.
Abby and Huck met us on the jet and i watched as Huck and Liv went to their own seats as Abby sat across from me as i tried to do paperwork.
"What?" I chuckled as i caught her staring at me.
"You're different" she shrugged "i thought you were an ass according to Teddy and Liv's stories"
"I was but having someone you love forgive you or at least try to forgive you changes you"
"So you love her?" She smiled crossing her legs "i always knew you did"
"Abby-"
"What? Quinn hates you but i like you two together, i think she is a happier version when you're around"
I looked over towards Liv and watched her laugh at a comment Huck made.
"How have you been Abs?"
"I've been fine" she shrugged
"I thought God itself couldn't make you leave California" i quoted her from years ago.
"Apparently Olivia Pope could, when she opened the firm she asked me to come live on the east coast." She smiled "she's brilliant Fitz-"
"I know"
"No, you haven't seen the great Olivia Pope in action. It's like watching a thriller, just wait for it"
