Huck and Abby took their things to the ranch to set up their shop as Liv came to my office with me. I sighed as i walked into the office to see Ms. Tanner at her desk with a smile on her face.
"Hello sir" she stood and i watched as Liv looked at her beside me. Ms. Tanner noticed Liv and shot her a glare
"Can i help you?"
"No" Liv narrowed her eyes and followed me into my office. I closed the door quickly. "Your chief of staff needs to get down here and Ms. Tanner needs to be dismissed for lunch"
"Liv-"
"For lunch, we'll call her back in a hour"
"Okay" i quickly opened the door and dismissed her and watched her gather her things.
"Now i need your chief of staff here for a few minuets but he is to leave right after i don't need any loose canons around when she's about to go off"
"Alright"
I called Cy and within seconds he was in my office.
"Sir, it's good to have you back"
"Good to be back" i sighed "Cy, this is-"
"Olivia Pope, the best known political fixer in the world. How'd you get on her waiting list?"
Liv smiled "No waiting list for the Grants"
"Ahh, so your father is taking care of the bill? See being rich helps when you're a politician"
Liv tensed and looked up at her papers sending him a glare. Like any other Grant she was protective of the family.
"No one is billing anyone" she sighed "Now, i have a plan to get rid of Ms. Tanner. Don't call my bluff because she won't know i'm lying" Cy nodded "You are here because within the next two hours Fitz is going to need a new secretary and i want the hiring of a new one out of the press"
"Not a problem"
Abby and Huck suddenly walked in and Cy got introduced.
"That is all Cyrus" i dismissed him and watched as Liv read over an agreement.
"Fitz, you need to write a cheque for 2 million"
"Liv-"
"2 million!" She huffed out. Huck handed her something before Abby wished us good luck and the both left.
"Don't you trust me?" She looked up at me from the chair
"Of course i do, i love you don't i?"
I was being bold, i didn't care anymore if it wasn't right to say.
"I don't know" she said as Amanda knocked on the door.
"Come in" I offered and watched Liv stand at the edge of my desk.
"What's this about?"
"You're leaving" Liv ripped off the band-aid
"Excuse me?"
"You're leaving California, for good"
"And what makes you think i am?"
"This cheque" she handed the cheque "There's an agreement you will also sign"
She handed it to Ms. Tanner and we watched as she sat down at the meeting table. Liv and i both followed her. She shoved the cheque back
"I want more"
"No" Liv said firmly
"I want more money or i will run more stories of your Governor with different women. There's a lot more i have, not all were in his own home. I want-"
"I frankly do not care what you want, you are black mailing the Governor of California"
"No one is going to believe you"
Liv pulled out a recorder and played back the last minute of the conversation.
"No one is going to take that-"
"Of course they will, i will call every news broadcaster i know and run this story, i'll plant more evidence and i will win" Liv started ranting "you had a job, a high paying job that could have got you many places but instead you throw it away so now you're going to move to a small town, marry a normal boy, have kids i don't really care the main point is i never want to see your face around Governor Grant again and if i do i will leak the story of a woman who tried to blackmail the Governor of California and i will get away with it because there is no one in the entire world better at it than i am!" Liv crossed her arms and took back the cheque "now you get nothing, sign the form"
Ms. Tanner looked at me then at Liv and i watched as she signed her name and left loudly.
"Livvie-"
"A lot more?" She looked up at me and i knew she had been holding it together when Ms. Tanner was in the office.
"Liv-"
"I will see you the next holiday, good luck Governor-"
I pulled her arm "stop, stop leaving me"
"You left me!" She yelled
"Livvie, you have to let it go. You can't be happy if you're holding onto such anger" i stepped into her personal space "Those women meant nothing to me, nothing compared to what you mean to me"
"It doesn't matter, it's not like we were ever together"
"LIV!" I said annoyed "You can run back to D.C but i will be there every weekend until you decide to forgive me"
I watched her roll her eyes and leave as if she didn't believe me.
