Roslyn and Theon were getting closer and closer. Although Theon had not change at all, the same attitudes and behaviors remained. He kept going to the brothel, when Roslyn was not around. However, when he was with her, he was another person. He was kind and sweet. He cared about her more than he thought. On the other hand, Roslyn was falling in love with Theon, everyday a litte bit more.
Every single day, they did what they could to have a moment for themselfs. After their duties, or after dinner, they met. They tried hide their secret. However, Robb realized that something was going on between Roslyn and Theon. So he decided to speak with Theon about it.
Robb was teaching some things to Bran, when he knew that it was the perfect moment to speak.
"Hey, Theon... What is going on between you and Roslyn? I've noticed that you two were acting strange. You stare at her in a special way, and she's always smiling back at you" Robb said. He looked at Jon, clearly he noticed about it too. Theon smirked, he had to confess himself. "And please, do not say that you are only friends".
"I really like Roslyn, a lot" Theon recognized.
"I am going to advice you" Robb stared at Theon. "It is better that you two be careful, try to keep a low profile, do you understand? I do not want to you get involved in a big trouble. Even though, someday you two will have to become clear about your relationship" Robb was being serious. "And last but not least, I suggest you to stop going to that place..." he raised an eyebrow. "She's a good girl, and she worths more than those women. I do not want to see her with a broken heart".
"I am aware of that" Greyjoy muttered. "Thank you" he nodded. He was a little bit ashamed, intimidated.
When the boys left, he looked for Roslyn. She was at the courtyard playing with little Rickon. He saw her smile, heard her laugh and that made him smile. "She is perfect, she is the one. I wish to spend the rest of my life with her". So he made a choice... He promised himself that he will be the man that Roslyn deserves.
He was too proud to admit it, but Theon was deeply in love with Roslyn. It was an odd feeling as odd as their relationship, the Kraken & The Falcon, the Winterfell Hostages. What would people think? They came from different places, where they will go? Will they remain in Winterfell?
Theon was the only heir from the Iron Islands, the only living son of Balon Greyjoy. And Roslyn was Jon Arryn's firstborn daughter, but she had no claim on the Vale of Arryn. So they could perfectly go to the Iron Islands, Roslyn would be Theon's wife. But she would his salt wife, because she did not born there. An ironborn may keep several salt wives, but only one rock wife, which was of ironborn origin. It was so sure that Theon will not consider her as a salt wife, but the ironborns would see her as one, they would not think of her as one of their kind.
Theon knew that someday he will return to Pyke, but it wasn't so sure. What would Ned Stark say about it? On the other side, Roslyn knew that she will not come back to Eyrie.
And what if Roslyn was betrothed to other man? She did not want to think about it. Theon was the one and only for her, she did not want someone else. It would break her hear if she was parted from Theon.
After a few days, Theon made a choice. He thought about it and he was sure.
He looked for Lord Eddard to comunicate his choice. He was willing to take that step. He took a deep breath and he waited for Ned, who showed up quickly.
"Theon, you were looking for me?" he asked.
"Yes, my lord. I would like to discuss with you something I decided" Theon said politely.
"Of course" Ned answered.
