LIV'S POV

"Goodnight girls" Fitz said as he tucked Avery and Katya into Avery's bed. I bit my finger nail, it would be Another of Avery's few nights of her sleeping in her own bed. She didn't sleep well in her bed.

"Night Fitz" Katya mumbled half asleep

"Night Daddy" Avery smiled as Fitz kissed her and pinched her nose playfully

"Goodnight Princess, i love you"

"Love you too"

Fitz took my hand and dragged me towards my bedroom closing the door behind us as he kissed me. I wrapped my arms around his waist and didn't think about if we were rushing anything. I just wanted to be near him.

"Not yet Livvie" He whispered as i reached for his shirt.

I pulled back hurt and went to go change into pyjamas. When i came back out he was sitting on the end of my bed.

"It's not that i don't want to you know" he spoke "i just want.. I want it to be special.. Unlike last time. I want you to trust me"

I nodded and climbed into bed, yawning.

"Are you coming to sleep? I'm tired"

He stared at me before nodding, he went off to get his bag and went to my room to change. He came back out dressed in basketball shorts and a hrey t-shirt. He pulled back the covers and laid down beside me stiff as a board.

I chuckled "Relax" i moved over to him and laid against his shoulder. His hand went straight to my hair as he pressed his head against mine.

"What do you want to do tomorrow?"

"I have to go shopping for some clothes for work, my things are getting too big and Aves needs some clothes too"

"Okay" he nodded and yawned

"Love you" he mumbled before he started breathing softly beside me.

Katya's mom had picked her up in the morning after breakfast as we were making our way out of the door to the big burlington warehouse. I could afford expensive clothing for Avery but she was always playing outside or getting dirty so i bought good clothing just not as expensive. Fitz had to have the warehouse closed to not draw attention that he was not in California. I watched as Fitz pushed Avery in the cart and the two of them chatted.

"Daddy? Can i get ice cream today?"

"Momma won't let that slide" he whispered "maybe when it's just us tomorrow"

Avery giggled as i watched Fitz from behind. He followed her gaze and laughed

"Why don't you help Aves pick out a swim suit while i get Mason some clothes"

Mason had called last week and asked for a day just the two of us.

"Yes ma'am" i watched him wheel the cart across the aisle.

I practically filled half of the cart with clothes for Mason. When i came back to the swim suit area Fitz had Avery out of the cart and was trying to talk her into a one piece with shorts. Avery's face was scrunched up.

"No mommy said i get a kini! For the sunny place!"

"A bikini? No way" Fitz shook his head

"Why not daddy?!"

"You don't need everyone seeing your stomach"

"Fitz! She's four not 15" i laughed "which one do you want baby?"

"Purple please!"

"Good choice!"

"What do you mean good choice?"

"You're being irrational Fitz, it's just a bikini"

"Just a bikini" he walked away as i put the purple suit into the cart

"Yeah daddy, just a kini"

I laughed as Avery ran over to Fitz's leg and sat down on his foot, wrapping her arms around them. Fitz smiled and started dragging her around with ease and soon Avery's laugh filled the store.

"Aves, you have to pick something out for Tyler's birthday right?"

Avery nodded quickly and took my hand.

"Who's this Tyler?"

"My boyfriend daddy"

"Liv, how do you do this. I swear i'm going to have a heart attack"

"Don't say that! And Fitz, come on it's innocent"

"Innocent?! Not even in the first grade and she has a boyfriend"

"Look at you, protective papa huh?"

He tried not to smile and instead silenced me with a kiss.

"Olivia Pope" i answered my phone quickly.

"I have Senator Davis on the line, please hold" i rolled my eyes as i was quickly put on hold "Olivia!"

"Hello Edison"

"I wanted to know if you would like to have dinner with me this Saturday?"

I smiled at Avery and Fitz. Fitz's long body was slumped over the cart leaning into Avery as she requested a kiss and was granted one every time but he always tickled her in some sort of way.

"I would have to decline as i do have other plans, thank you for your offer and i wish you all the best and hopefully you will not need my services again" i hung up and went towards Fitz and Avery.

"Mommy?"

"Hmm?" I called back as we moved out of the store.

"How come we can't move to the sunny place with daddy?"

"Because mommy works here Aves and you have school here"

"But we move and daddy will always be with us!"

"Daddy has to work just like mommy does"

"But daddy misses you very much and maybe when you're on break you can come visit me" Fitz offered

"Really?!" Avery looked at me with hopeful eyes

"That sounds like fun" i nodded
