I stared up at Percy waiting for him to explain what just happened. His face eyebrows were furrowed, and he was stroking his chin, trying to come up with a way to tell his friends that he has a sister whom he's kept secret.
Someone walked into the cafe, a small bell chiming to signal their arrival and I sighed in relief. My brother's girlfriend, Annabeth was here. Hopefully, she would be able to save us all from this mess.
"What did I just walk into?" Annabeth asked cautiously as she looked around. Her eyes finally settled on me, and she grinned.
"Elle? Long time no see! Come here you!" She hugged me shortly before she realized that I was the cause of the tension in the air. Everyone looked confused, well some just looked bored but most looked confused.
"Okay, hold up. Since when does Percy have a sister and since when did you know?" This time it was Jason who spoke. This guy was cute; He had curly brown hair, warm brown eyes and a mischievous look to him. I smiled at him.
"Okay, since Percy is no help to you at all, not much of a surprise if I'm honest here, I guess I'll explain," I started, "To answer your question, Percy has had a sister, aka me, for 15 years now. Annabeth has known for about 5 of those years if I'm doing my math correctly. Given that I have never met either of you, and neither of you knew of my existence before today, it's safe to say that Percy never spoke about any of us to each other." I concluded.
It took a moment for everyone to process what I had just said. I heard some shuffling behind me, so I turned and saw my friends. They were equally as confused as my brother's friends. I rolled my eyes not wanting to explain everything again.
"Guys, this is my brother, his girlfriend and his friends. Everyone, these are my friends. Great, everyone knows each other." I motioned between both groups.
"This is your brother? And his friends?" Danielle looked around at everyone. Weird, I thought, it's like she's sizing them up.
"Didn't I just say that?" I shook my head. Some people were so dense.
"Perfect," Elise said. Okay, this is starting to get weird. I gave her the side eye when all of a sudden, Danielle whipped out a huge frickin sword.
"What the fuck? Where did that come from?' I exclaimed. Suddenly, everyone was on guard. I saw the cute guy from earlier, pull out his own weapon from a toolbelt that came out of nowhere. Percy and Annabeth were also suddenly armed standing back to back.
"Can someone please explain what's going on here? I am honestly perplexed as to how everyone here has weapons." I looked around, but everyone was in a standoff. No one was saying anything. They were all just looking at each other, daring the other to make a move.
Finally, Danielle lunge and all hell broke loose inside the cafe.
