After my meeting Tom took me to the same country club Big Gerry and Emily still belonged to in Santa Barbara. I had worn a black short sleeved dress that reached above my knees that covered my chest area with mesh material but the rest of the dress was a spandex version of leather. I matched it with black heels and straightened my hair.

"Do you have a reservation ma'am?" The hostess asked as i scanned the dining room for Fitz.

"I'm with Governor Grant's party" i replied.

She nodded and pointed me in the right direction. The dining room was more like a lounge. I watched as Fitz held their attention and the table lit up with laughter as it was surrounded by Senator Brooks and his wife Lauren and two other men. I walked over and slipped my hand onto Fitz's shoulder, be quickly turned and grinned standing just like the rest of the gentleman at the table.

"You look beautiful Livvie" he kissed my cheek "gentleman, Laur this -"

"LIV!" Lauren grinned kissing my cheek from across the table.

"You two know each other?"

"Lauren went to Georgetown with Teddy and i"

"Liv was also a big part of why my husband is now a senator"

I smiled as Alex brooks kissed my cheek as well.

"Well, you remember my chief of staff, Cyrus Beene and his husband James"

"It's so nice to finally meet you" i extended a hand towards Cyrus and shook firmly as he stared me down

"It was an honour hearing you guest lecture at Georgetown one year" his eyebrows rose as i turned to James "Olivia -"

"Pope, Fitz speaks about you and your little girl every time he visits"

I laughed as everyone sat down and i ordered a glass of red wine. I was nervous, it was Fitz's and my first night out with couple's.

"So, do you miss California? You spent summers here in college didn't you?" Lauren asked as i sipped my wine.

"I did, i miss the sun but i love the pace of Washington"

"That's how you and Fitz met right?"

"It is" Fitz smiled and rubbed my back as each of us started separate conversations for a moment while we decided on dinner.

"Hi" Fitz leaned over and kissed my cheek

"Hi"

"Your meeting go alright?"

"It was fine"

"Why are you so tense?" His eyes suddenly lit up "Are nervous?"

"No" i scoffed

"You're nervous"

"It's your chief of staff Fitz! I'm sure he doesn't like the fact that i'm a mixed woman with a child and we aren't married"

"Yet" he corrected me "not married yet"

"Still not married"

"Don't worry about Cyrus Livvie, just enjoy yourself"

The first part of dinner was Lauren and Alex telling stories about my partying days during college and Alex went to Harvard with Fitz so they had known each other the same amount of time so he had stories as well.

"Dance with me?" Fitz asked as i finished the last of my meal.

"Fitz-"

"dance with me Livvie"

"Fine" i smiled as he helped me up and led me onto the dance floor. He placed his hand on my lower hip and i smacked his side moving it up.

"Behave"

"You look so beautiful tonight Livvie" he whispered in my ear, smiling as if he was saying the most normal thing in the world as he said hello to other people around us.

"Thank you"

"Let's go home"

"Fitz-"

He was dragging me back to the table already, we had one more drink before leaving for the SUV. I held his hand as we exited the restaurant.

"Livvie-" he said surprised as reporters swarmed him

"It's okay" i was letting go and letting him have me, in private and in public.

The ride home was spent in silence and as soon as Tom parked Fitz was dragging me out of the car, dismissing his agents for the night.

(Break)

"Can we take a bath first?" I asked quietly as i felt the pain in my shoulder from dancing with such a tall man.

"Of course Livvie" he kissed me before going off towards his large bathroom.

I followed him and took off my heels slowly as he filled the bathtub that was definitely large enough for both of us. I sighed as my phone started to ring. I exited the bathroom and dug up my phone

"Hello?"

"Hi mommy! I say night now"

"Hi bug, did you want to talk to Fitz?"

"I ready called daddy" she yawned i smiled thinking about who he was talking to on the phone at dinner when he excused himself for a few minuets "love you mommy"

"I love you too bugs, sleep well. Tomorrow we can go riding okay?"

"Really?"

"Really, so make sure you get lots of sleep and don't wake Nana and Poppy too much!"

"I won't" she promised as i knew when she slept over though she had her own room she often slept sandwiched in between Emily and Big Gerry.

"Bye"

"Bye" she whispered and hung up. When i got back into the bathroom Fitz's eyes were closed and he looked like he had dozed off. I clipped my hair up and quickly removed my dress and panty set, slipping into the water facing away from him and leaning against his chest. He woke back up as i placed a kiss on his jaw line. He pouted

"I missed it"

"Missed what?"

"You coming into the bathtub" he reached up and ran a finger over my collarbone and slowly down my chest as his hand cupped one of my breasts. We both groaned and shifted and suddenly he retracted his hands and turned my head to kiss me.

"I'm sure we can take another bath"

He laughed and moved us more into the water, for a while we just sat there in silence. It wasn't awkward or weird it was comforting and i smiled as he kissed my neck.

"I love you" he whispered

"I love you too Fitz" he turned me around "i do love you, that was never an issue"

"You were just scared?"

"Yes"

"Say it"

"I" i kissed him and stood as he did "love" he kissed me "you" i laughed as he stepped out of the bath and dropped into a squat as he lifted me fireman style.

"Again"

"I love you" he gently placed me on his bed and i suddenly felt very self conscious as i took in his body. He was five years older than me but he was toned in all the right places and his abs weren't over done. His arms were huge as he hovered above me.

"You're so beautiful" he kissed me and i watched as he lowered himself down and felt him kiss my core. I gasped as he started moving his lips. I had never been fond of oral sex with previous partners but Fitz was making me feel like i was having an out of body experience.

"Let go Livvie" i could practically hear his smirk as i fisted the sheets and felt the wave wash over me. He came back up and i flipped him over. His eyes were wide and excited as he sat up. He kicked my legs out from the stance and i was flipped onto my back again as he fought for dominance.

"Now, the first time we make love i want to show you how much i love you, how you are the only woman i want to do this with anymore, that i love you, all of you. You are the love of my life"

I smiled and kissed him "i'm in love with you too" i whispered

He kissed me and reached beside him for a condom.

"I'm on the pill Fitz" i shook my head "i trust you"

He smiled and nudged my thighs apart kissing me as he lined himself up. I gasped as he filled me. It had been a long time and he was larger than most men.

"Fitz-" i choked out

"Relax Livvie" he stilled his motions and i breathed. Nodding when i got used to his length.

"I love you" he kept whispering as he started thrusting softly

"Faster" i managed to get out as i felt him slow down.

"Look at me, open your eyes"

I stared up at him and felt close to the edge

"I love you" he kissed me and quickened up as i felt myself letting go silently. My whole body tingled quickly and i felt better than i had in a long time.
