Warning: THE USUAL, (like seriously, why do I have to keep warning you?)

Ladies and Gentleman, may I introduce to you Sebastian Smythe.

Blaine stared in aw at the posters that seemed to be everywhere in New York City, on the trash cans, on the walls, on the deserted garages, even in some windows of shops.

On the posters a picture of the one and only Sebastian Smythe was printed on. Sebastian had his pants and underwear down and was attempting to block the camera away but failed miserably. You could see his dick very obviously and Blaine couldn't help but scoff at the picture.

It said 'World's Smallest Penis in show at this address' it then listed what Blaine assumed to be his correct address.

It looked like the work of Santana Lopez.

Blaine smirked so hard that his lips hurt. He was sure people were giving him weird looks as he was standing in the middle of the subway looking at this picture of a half naked man but he couldn't bring himself to care. Sebastian had sexual assaulted him not just last week but almost his whole high school career and the months they had been in New York together. Blaine had been to oblivious to this fact to even acknowledge it until it was to late. Oh well, he got what was coming to him. He did after all postpone his wedding with Kurt a couple weeks and made him a bit superstitious. He couldn't lie about how he would check every nook and cranny in the apartment to make sure that weird meerkats face wasn't in the closet smirking with a box of condoms.

Now that he had 'recovered' from this incident he was ready to marry Kurt tomorrow and wouldn't let anything come in the way of that. Even if he did really want to call Sebastian right now and tell him about how he would never find a boyfriend after this stunt he pulled and spit on his shoes. He wasn't going to do that. Kurt had already threatened to tear his organs out one by one. He wasn't going to do that either. No use in going to jail on their wedding morning for playing Bonnie and Clyde.

Since this was all done Blaine could return to what he had originally been doing today; seeing his step dad. He had grown to like Dale more and although he didn't ever think he could get to the point of calling him dad, he was still a great male role model in his life.

Dale had called him out of the blue and asked him to meet him at the park. Casual enough, right? Even if it was freezing and he was in a blue jacket that he was sure weighed more than him, a huge scarf, a hat, and mittens. Yeah, he looked like an Eskimo.

He shook his head to get him out of his daze and headed for the subway. Next stop, Central Park.

After a couple of hobo's asked him for money and avoiding a puke puddle in the subway, he was at Central Park. One of the great things about being a New Yorker is you get to constantly be around cool places and landmarks even if it was busy and cars were practically none existent.

He spotted Dale sitting on a bench with two coffee cups in hand. By the looks of it, he was wearing just as many layers as Blaine which made him feel less insecure.

"Hey, Blaine." Dale flashed a smile and handed him his coffee cup.

"Hi." He replied weakly and reached for the coffee immediately, almost downing it on the first gulp. This was some much needed coffee in this below freezing weather.

"Have a seat." Dale suggested and Blaine sat beside him on the bench. Not to close, but kept his distance.

They sat in silence for a moment before Dale tried to make small talk. "So how's school going?"

Classic, one of the number one questions people ask.

"Good," He replied. The one worded response didn't seem to satisfy him so he went on, "Considering I'm on winter break right now, I don't have much to talk about."

Dale shook his head. "Oh, right."

Dale seemed nervous then. "How's Kurt doing?"

"Fine?" Blaine asked in a questioning voice as to what he was getting at.

"Look, I need you to listen to this and don't get mad at me." Dale faced Blaine.

Blaine hesitated a little but then nodded. "I promise."

"Okay, I know it's a bit to late to say this but... I don't know if you should marry Kurt yet." Blaine almost began arguing but Dale put a finger up stopping him. "You promised." He reminded. Blaine puffed a sigh and then stopped trying to speak.

"It's not that I dislike that you're gay or anything, it's just- just-"

"Weird, embarrassing, awkward? You're never going to have 'real' grandchildren?" Blaine interrupted anyway.

"It's not that!" Dale snapped a bit loudly on accident. He wasn't angry at Blaine but mostly at himself for not finding the right words.

"It's because I don't want to see you hurt." He finally spit out and Blaine looked surprised.

"I know how most of these young marriage things end up and I don't want to see you go through that. I know the first couple months will be a great honeymoon phase but think about what you're really doing. This is harder than dating, Blaine. You wake up every morning to this person and go to sleep with that same person. If things don't go well you can't just say 'I'm breaking up with you', you have to work through the issue together or do something really stupid. And in a couple years, maybe Kurt'll just wake up one day and find a nice, new, freshman college guy and break your heart. Or maybe vise-versa and I really don't want to be in the middle of that waterfall."

Blaine's face went from one of aggression to one of understanding quickly. He still had a hint of doubt in his features but he couldn't stop himself from chuckling at the last sentence.

"So are you saying I shouldn't get married?" Blaine asked.

"No, no, of course not. I think you should get married, just when you're old enough to understand this commitment-" He began.

Blaine cut him off. "But I am! I know what I'm doing and I welcome it. Don't you think I know that this isn't some cupcake relationship I'm signing up for? No, I will know that there are going to be fights, pain, hurt, bad days, betrayal, but I also know that there will be memories, joy, happiness, and the most important; love. And it's nothing our relationship hasn't been through before. We've been together for seven years for God's sake. We've already suffered most of these things, life being gay isn't a very welcoming one you know."

Dale smiled after a moment. "And that's what I needed to hear. I knew you guys were always soul mates and I knew and hoped this marriage wasn't in vein. I'm really proud of you Blaine."

Blaine smiled as well. Nobody had ever actually cared for him like that, and he was sure as hell his birth father wouldn't talk to him about it. Well, maybe if he married a girl...

They both stood up and got ready to leave, depositing their coffee cups in the nearby trash. When Dale waved goodbye and turned to leave, something snapped in Blaine.

He ran up to Dale and hugged him, he had never done this before and boy did he look mighty short compared to his step dad.

Dale was a bit stunned but returned the hug.

"Thanks for caring, dad." Blaine said but then realized his slip and ran towards the subway.

Dale stood there for a few minutes in the frost of the New York air and smirked the hardest he had in a while.

He was a dad.

Meanwhile, Kurt was out with Carol shopping up a storm. Carol wanted some souvenirs and Kurt needed some clothes for his honeymoon although the only thing he knew for sure was that it was going to be sunny, courtesy of the one and only Blaine Anderson. He knew Burt wanted nothing to do with his shopping so Burt went with Finn to some sports game (or something). So here they were, Kurt dragging her around and arguing on where to shop and where to not.

"Oh my gosh, don't even think about it." Kurt said when they passed Wal-Mart in his car. Carol was in the passenger seat looking at it rather suspiciously.

"But it's so big..." She gawked.

"I will drag you by your Jean jacket out of there if you enter." Kurt said seriously.

"Fine, fine. I may have already hit it up though..." She admits.

"What? Carol, how could you? I will have to come to your hotel room and burn every last bit of your double denim outfits and clogs."

Carol snickered. "I'm only teasing, I know the fashionista Kurt Hummel would be extremely disappointed in me."

"Good." Kurt smiled and they drove in silence for a bit. Kurt tapping his hand on the steering wheel to the beat of the music playing softly in the background.

Carol smiled when the next song came on. "Ooh, I love this song!"

Kurt flinched at what it was then reached his hand reached over on its own accord to turn it off. "Nope, not doing that."

"Why, what's wrong with Get You Alone?" Carol asked seriously.

Kurt groaned. "That's a story that should never be retold." And with that they dropped it.

More silence as the New York traffic took them as victim.

"Kurt, are your a bit nervous about tomorrow?" She asked noticing the biting of his lip and the slight chewing of his finger nails when they were at a red light.

"Wha- nervous? Why would I have planned this whole wedding and said yes to Blaine's proposal if I were nervous about it?"

"Kurt, everyone gets nervous. It's a big commitment, I remember the day I married your father. I was a wreck; remember how you had to practically push me onto that aisle?"

Kurt sighed. "I guess you're right, I kind of am a bit nervous."

"Mhmm. A mother's always right, not to mention you have been a total groomszilla the past couple of months." Carol smiled and Kurt did to.

"But seriously, it's okay to be nervous because it is a big thing saying 'I do' to your potential soul mate. Do you feel like you two are soul mates?" She asked.

"You know, I never really believed you could love someone so much to know their pain, their feelings, their thoughts, until I met Blaine. So yes, I believe we saved each other and are soul mates. I can't wait to be his and his only for eternity."

Carol had un-shed tears in her eyes.

"Oh no, don't cry. Then I will too and our shopping trip will be ruined." Kurt smirked.

Carol breathed deeply. "Okay, you're right; save the tears until tomorrow."

"Well I don't know if I said that-"

Carol clapped cutting him off. "Okay, we're here! Tell me what not to wear."

And with that, step mother and step son strolled into the store.
