I am so so sorry you guys. I just started my Doctorate program and my sister is due to have her baby in less than two months and my whole life is a tornado of activity right now. I'm still in this story so please stick with me.

Roughly two days later the streets had finally been totally cleared of the snow and the power had been restored to the whole town. Snow and David went home, explaining that they would gladly come back if they were needed. Once they were gone the house was quiet for about a split second before one of the babies started to wail. Emma scooped Davina out of the basinet and walked into the bedroom upstairs where Regina had demanded to be moved. The former monarch was unceremoniously passed out with her torso leaning against the headboard. Regina had found that when here upper body was at an incline she was more comfortable. Apollo was snuggled into Regina's leg, his body once again spread out and almost touching Emma's side of the bed.

Emma sat down on the edge of the bed and softly rubbed Regina's arm in an effort to wake her. "Gina, honey, Vi is hungry. Any chance you can wake up?" Regina kept her eyes shut as she rubbed her face and tried to push her sleepiness aside for long enough to feed the baby.

"Sorry love, I'll order a breast pump this afternoon so we can feed them without you always having to whip 'em out."

Regina opened her eyes at that. "Emma I'm feeding our children, not whipping them out as you have said." Emma rolled her eyes as she handed her daughter over to Regina. After some work the baby found it pretty easy to find her source of food and quickly began feeding and nuzzling into her mother's breast.

"You didn't correct me." Emma noted as she watched Regina feed the baby.

"What do you mean? Of course I did, it's not my fault you are jealous that the babies get to touch my breasts more than you do these days."

"No not that, besides they know that I am loaning them use of your boobs." Regina rolled her eyes this time and decided not to keep fighting Emma on that point.

"I meant I called the baby by a nickname and you didn't correct me."

"When have I ever corrected you about using nicknames with me."

"The first few months you knew me, the first year we were dating…" Regina waved Emma off, not interested in hearing the litany of times Emma could think of when nicknames weren't allowed in their lives.

"I get it, but I came around. You call me Gina and I don't say anything.

"It took me a year to get you to agree to that. Face it babe, you hate nicknames."

"I don't hate them, I just prefer using somebody's given name; it's proper." Emma made a face and Regina smiled. "Yes I know, you hate propriety, but your mother and I were raised in a land run by rules and your name meant everything there. It was your status. My mother went so far as to name me something that in English translates to mean 'queen'. That doesn't mean our children have to be raised the same way. Davina could be a mouthful when she is young and trying to make friends Vi, or I believe your father called her ViVi when he thought I wasn't listening, are appropriate."

"A simple 'yes Emma, you can call our kids whatever you want' would have been fine, but what you just said works too." There conversation was cut short when they heard knocking on the front door downstairs, causing Apollo to wake up and go running out the door and down the stairs, eager to investigate who was trying to get into his house. Emma followed the dog downstairs and since Apollo wasn't growling she assumed it wasn't anyone they didn't mind letting into the house. She opened the door and Granny was standing on the porch with Ruby standing right beside her.

"Hey guys. Got tired of waiting out this weather in warmth and safety so you decided to come visit?" Emma let both women in and hung up their coats as they shook they snow and ice from their boots as they took those off as well. Apollo walked around Granny once and then went over to Ruby who he seemed to be most interested in. The dog circled her several times and each time he seemed more upset than the last.

"Apollo, you know Ruby, be nice." The dog ignored Emma and continued his actions and eventually Ruby had an idea. She slowly sat down in the spot she had been standing in and lowered her body just enough so that she appeared to be smaller than Apollo. At this Apollo stopped circling her and sniffed her once more before trotting over to Emma and sitting at attention like normal. Emma watched Ruby get up and she was totally confused.

"What was that? Did you just bow to my dog?" Ruby smiled and shook her head.

"No, I was showing him that he is the Alpha dog in this house and that I am not here to threaten him or any of you."

"But he's met you before, he never seemed bothered by your wolf scent."

"It was different before. Before it was just you, Regina and Henry. Now he has babies to protect and in his mind they are as much his to protect as they are yours. I smell like another type of dog and to him that is a threat and a threat to his babies will not be coming into his house. In a pack the lesser dogs show submission by never trying to be bigger or rise above the Alpha dog. Me getting down on the floor showed him that I was going to hurt the kids." Emma looked at her dog who seemed very proud of himself.

"You know, most dogs just bark at the door." Apollo ignored the comment and returned upstairs while Emma led Granny and Ruby into the living room. Emily was by now awake so Emma quickly picked her up and offered to let Granny hold her.

"She might be hungry, but you can hold her until she starts to fuss for Regina." Emma handed the baby over and Granny lit up and began cooing over the infant.

"She's going to be just like you Emma." Granny smiled at the baby and Emma looked worried.

"Well then we are all in a lot of trouble. Mommy was quite the trouble maker." Emma spoke in a high pitch tone as she kissed her daughter's head, making the baby try and turn toward her and eventually start to fuss.

"Sounds like someone is hungry. We should go find your mama and see if we can't switch you for your sister."

"I don't think that will be necessary dear." Regina was slowly coming down the stairs with Davina in her arms and Apollo at her feet. Emma let Regina walk the staircase without her help simply because she knew it would wound Regina's pride if she offered her help. Once in the living room the mothers switched babies and Regina took a seat on the couch and began feeding Emily. Ruby pretended to look somewhere else and Regina had to smile.

"It's quite alright Ruby, it seems that most everyone has seen me naked in some form of another these last few days. I've lost all sense of shame around it, besides it's just breast feeding, you won't offend me by watching."

"I just didn't want to make you feel on display or anything." Regina shook her head. "Hardly. People love looking at babies and when I feed them it's one of the few times they are both quiet and peaceful. It's pretty common to want to watch that." Ruby watched the baby keep feeding and every now and then she would look up at Regina and Ruby was positive she had never seen Regina look that happy before. Emma had since given Davina over to Granny and the baby got just as many coos as her sister, but this time Granny pointed out something else.

"She is going to be like her mama, aren't you little one? She even has Regina's hair and her eyes." Regina looked up from her spot on the couch and noted.

"We are all in a lot of trouble if she is going to be just like me."

"I call them like I see them Regina and I'm never wrong." Regina forced a smile, but deep down was worried what that meant for her daughter. To be just like her could be an absolute curse for the child and Regina wanted nothing but the best for all her children. Emma must of seen the wheels in her head turning too fast because she soon felt her wife kiss the top of her head.

"She'll be lucky to be like you Regina. She'll have the best traits that you have and I bet she'll have your attitude so grounding her is going to be super wonderful for us." Regina relaxed a bit and returned to her conversation with Ruby hoping that her wife was right.

Shit ending I know, but I wanted to get this chapter up and keep moving forward. Let me know if you want to see something particular next.
