Today Mariana, Sarah, and Aliza are all coming over for dinner because they supposedly have news for us. I'm pretty sure it's that Sarah is pregnant. When i was babysitting Aliza, just me Lena was working, a couple of weeks ago she told me that her mommies asked her if she would like a little brother or sister. I didn't tell Lena because i wanted it to be a surprise for her when it happened and Aliza, who was told it was a secret herself, sworn my to secretisy. I wasn't going to break a promise with a five year old.
"I wonder what this big news is" Lena said and i laughed.
"Yeah, what a mystery" i said and she turned around giving me the look.'
"Stephanie Marie Adams Foster, if you know you better tell me" she said and Luke gave us a weird look.
"She's knocked up" he said not even looking up. Nobody can keep a secret.
"What?" Lena asked generally shocked. It seems she is the only one Aliza hasn't told this secret.
"Well so much for it being our little secret." I joked and he smiled. I'm just shocked she didn't tell Lena.
"Who's pregnant?"
"Sarah" me and Luke said simultaneously.
"Wait who told you that?" she asked not liking that she is out of the loop.
"Aliza, she's not good at keeping secrets"
"I thought Megan was pregnant" she said and i tried not to laugh.
"Megan?" Luke laughed and Lena looked upset.
"No she's not pregnant, as far as we are concerned, Sarah is."
"I heard you on the phone with Jenna i assumed you were talking about Megan" she said.
"Megan?" I asked again. "Honey it was a stretch for her to settle down with Brandon. She's… what did he call it 'free-spirited'" i said putting free spirited in air quotation marks. She is a bit afraid of commitment.
"I thought it was an accident" Lena admitted. "Wait so Sarahs pregnant?"
"Yes" we both said and she rolled her eyes.
"Were they trying?"
"They are gay, they can't accidentally get pregnant. Did you sleep last night?" I asked and she didn't seem happy with my response.
"No. So pretty much everyone knows" she said.
Mariana
I tried to get Aliza out of her childs seat while she bounced around excited to see her grandparents.
"Why doesn't she get this excited when she sees us?" I asked Sarah.
"We don't give her I-C-E C-R-E-A-M before supper" she said laughing. She spelled ice cream so Aliza won't get even more excited. I finally got her out and she jumped out of the car and before i could stop her ran across the street.
"Aliza" we both said and Sarah caught her and picked her up. I put my hand over my chest my heart pounding from fear. Sarah returned my look.
"Aliza Sierra Roberts" I yelled and she buried her head against Sarah knowing she's in trouble.
"What did we tell you about crossing the street?" I asked and she looked at me teary eyed.
"Wait for mommys"
"Yes you can't just run across the street you gave us a heart attack." I yelled.
"I'm sorry, i just wanted to see Grammys" she said whipping the tears away.
"We are, you just have to be careful and wait for us" Sarah said sweetly. She's normally the good cop.
"Me and mommy are getting older we can't always keep up" she said and i interjected.
"Hey talk for yourself. I'm not even 30 yet" I said mock offensively.
"You're old" Aliza said and Sarah laughed.
"Hey you are two years older than me" I reminded her and she rolled her eyes.
"You're all young, stop making me feel old" Mama said coming up behind us.
"Grammy" Aliza said hugging her. Mom followed her wife outside.
"Hey princess" they said.
"Now why are you crying?"
"Mommy was mad" she said pointing to me. Lena looked at me and i shrugged.
"You're granddaughter ran across the street" I explained and they gave me i look of 'yeah kids do that, sometimes'
"Aliza honey. Mommy was just worried about you is all" Mama said.
"Grammy!" she said running over and hugging Mom.
"Can we get off the road?" I asked and they nodded.
"Yes, suppers almost done" mama said. Once supper was ready we all went to the table to eat. I cut up Aliza's steak into bite-size pieces.
"Wine?" Stef asked pouring Lena and herself a glass and passing it to me. I filled up my glass and sat the bottle down. I knew this was going to end up being when we made the announcement right after wine was passed out.
"Sarah, not having any?" Mom asked giving us a look of 'I know what's going on' How does she know?
"Yeah thats actually what we wanted to talk about" i said taking Sarah's hand in mine. I remember when i told them i was pregnant, so many things were up in the air than.
Flashback
I bit my lip and could taste blood in my mouth from it. I looked at my parents who gave me a confused look.
"Would you like some wine?" Mom asked noticing my hesitation.
"Um no… I'm good. So… i'm. I'm pregnant" I said and watched as what i said sunk in.
"O my god, honey thats amazing. Why were you so worried?" mama asked hugging me.
"Well...i'm not with Sarah anymore" i admitted. I didn't tell them that me and Sarah decided to take a break because i know they would tell me that me and Sarah needed to stay together. It just got to the point where we were fighting every day, and we weren't even friends anymore. I just thought we needed a break, see other people, and be friends for a bit to figure out if we could be together. I didn't want our relationship destroy our friendship. At least now me and Sarah are friends, which is good. I didn't want to lose her.
"Wait… what?" Mom said shocked.
"Why? You two were perfect together. You were Mariana and Sarah. What happened?" Mama said.
"We got to the point where we were fighting everyday and we wanted to take a break so we didn't ruin our friendship" i said.
"So who were you with?" Mom asked not happy i was dating someone she didn't know about. I'm pretty sure they can tell it didn't end well or just that it ended in general.
"Um… you don't know him. His name was Dan Davis… and we broke up Friday" I explained. Today is the next wednesday and i have known that i was pregnant for a week now. I told Sarah Friday night.
"Is he going to be in the kids life?" Mama asked and i just shook my head, no.
"He doesn't know…" Before they could say something i continued. " I was going to tell him Friday but before i could he told me that he met some girl and they had an affair. So instead i just got up and left" I just conveniently left out me telling him to fuck off.
"Oh honey" Mom said and they got up and gave me a mama sandwich.
"I'm sorry… it's going to be ok."
"I don't know what's going to happen" i admitted. " Me and Sarah might get back together"
I'm still surprised by how she reacted. She had every right to tell me that, that it was my problem. That i made the mistake so i should figure it out myself. She didn't though, she just hugged me and acted like nothing happened between us. She told me she still loved me and i did too. I never stopped loving her.
Present
"Sarah is pregnant" i announced and they smiled.
"Congratulations" they pulled us into a giant mama sandwich. I kissed Sarah and laughed at the usual sound of our daughter saying ew.
"Mom pulled Mama into a kiss just to see Aliza's reaction.
"Gross no kissing" she said and we all laughed.
Sierra
My mom came home late again and came up to my room.
"Hey i'm home"
"Hey" i said forcing a smile. The older i get the more i can't wait till i move out and don't have to deal with her anymore.
"I'm sorry i'm late"
"No it would be weird if you were home for supper. I made spaghetti, there's leftovers" i said coldly.
"Are we ok?" she said sitting down next to me.
"I don't know, mother, are we ok?" i asked flashing her a fake smile. As if trying to look like the perfect daughter she wishes i was.
"You seem mad at me. If i could have…"
"Stayed longer you would have, I know" i said starting type my story up.
"Honey thats not true. Trust me, i hate the people i work with. I always try to get home as soon as i can. It's just some days…" she started and i rolled my eyes.
"I have a chapter to type up. Shut the door behind you" i said busying myself with typing.
"Alright. Have a good night"
"You too, mother" i said and she sighed and walked out shutting the door behind her. I put in my head phones and laid down annoyed.
My phone buzzed to life.
Jack: I'm outside.
Me: coming.
I snuck outside and got into his car.
"Hey honey" he said kissing me.
"Hey."
"You ok?" he asked and i smiled.
"Yeah just six or so more months till i move out will be the death of me" i complained and he smiled.
"Aww stressed? We can fix that" he said kissing my neck.
"Not tonight, ok? Can we just have a cold beer and watch a movie or something?" i asked and he smiled.
"Sure as long as we aren't watching a chick flick" he said and i shot him the death glare.
"I'm insulted… you definitely aren't getting any now" i said laughing. "I want to watch a scary movie so i can hear you scream like a little girl again. Don't worry i'll protect you"
He laughed and rolled his eyes.
"Whatever you want to tell yourself. I don't know how you could even see the screen while making out."
"It was you!" i said.
We sat and watched some stupid stereotypical scary movie and i leaned against his shoulder.
"You could always move out?" he said.
"To where?"
"Here" he said getting my attention. Jack is 21 so he has his own apartment. I got off of his shoulder and took his beer away.
"You are such a had what, two beers?" i joked but was really giving him a chance to think about what he just asked me.
"I'm not drunk! I'm serious, you could always move in here and avoid your parents. Besides you practically live here now. You are here more often than you are at home." he said seriously.
"Really are you sure about this?"i said reminding him to be careful.
"Yes but if you don't want to" he started.
"Of course i want to idiot" i said smiling at him.
"Kiss me" i said when he didn't.
"Oh right" he said kissing me.
"Oh this is great. I couldn't handle them, and this will certainly piss them off" i said.
"Wow, now i feel used" he said and i rolled my eyes.
"Stop that you know i love you" i said and he smiled.
"Is your goal really to piss them off?"he asked mystified.
"Pretty much, it's fun" i said and he gave me a weird look
"So you're parents really don't like me, huh?" he asked.
"No they just don't like that you are 21, atheist and well you" i said and he just kept his confused face on. It's a good thing it's adorable because he wears it often.
"Thanks that helps" he said and i laughed.
"Sorry, so i can really move in?" i asked just to double check. He nodded and i smiled. It's about time.

Hey so i noticed something while rereading some of my other fanfictions. My characters all exist on the same level in my head, different than reality. Sierra is also Lenas cousin, accidentally, in Babysitting. Which if they were same person would make Sarah and Mariana cousins. They aren't same person. Tia from same story, Sierras mom, is in one one of my story stories. Davis is the last name of Stefs kidnappers in broken souls and dark past and Marianas ex in this one. Jack is used in multiple and so is David. Let me know if you find more.
