The Body Ch.9

I wake up to a gloomy Saturday morning with confusion floating in it. I peek over the side of my bed to see the one and only red head of mine sleeping. I quietly climb down the ladder of my bed and sit by his peeking at him over the side of his. He was pushed near the wall of his bed with lots of bed available. I lay down beside him wrapping my arms around him, him immediately waking up. Even so somehow not noticing I was the source of his awakening.

"Naruto?" He whispers to himself "How did he get here?" He just rests his arms on my waste then says "He must've crawled into my bed, even after I-?" He cuts himself off and rests his forehead to mine. Then says "huh." He looks at me observing me. "Naruto." He says and I open my eyes "Yes?" I blush at how close he is and he is Unfazed at how I was awake.

"Hey." He says and I respond quietly with a "Hi." There is a long silence that passes through us and I have to ask "So does this mean, we are going out?" He laughs an awkward chuff kind of laugh "It's against school rules... But since your old enough I guess...so." He pauses in the middle of his sentence.

And once again awkwardness permeates the air leaving a kind of weight. "So... Naruto since it's Saturday, you think maybe we could do something?" I look at him fully interested "Like an amusement park or the fair or the beach or-" I'm cut off and he continues my sentence "Or the aquarium. That sounds cool." I don't hesitate before answering "But that sounds kind of... Iffy."

He smiles "Please? I am a teacher and there is a new one open, I've heard it really cool." He pauses and watches me cross my arms and continues "We will see some cool fish." Then pauses again "Ill get you ramen." I succumb to his persuasion and happily yet lazily roll onto the floor.

'There would be a new Aquarium opened.' I think. I put on some black jeans and a tan t-shirt and a black coat. Shortly after Gaara is dressed along with me and I find us in the doorway of the 'Konoha Aquarium' the sign dressed with balloons and letters spelling 'Just opened come on in!' The bold letters clashing with the gray sky.

"Well are you just going to stand there or are we going in?" Gaara asks, attitude lining his voice. He begins to walk into the front doors hand in pocket and I hurry to catch up, following him.

He buys my ticket but not before objection from me, then we go in. The first habitat is open and the water could be easily touched. The top of its water practically covered by lily pads with cords that anchor them to the bottom. Small tan fish with black striped called Loach swam around.

"Cool look at them, thier kinda cute!" I say bending down to point out the snail frumping around eating algae. "Naru, it's just a snail," he pauses "It's not even the main exhibit." I smile "So?" I stand up again and take Gaara's hand leading him to the next exhibit.

It turns from river fish to deep sea fish. "Ooh look at that, it's kinda scary." I say putting my face up to the glass of a Jew Fish(Goliath Grouper). It being at least twice my weight and height and width. As we pass it's habitat the lighting quickly got darker all light coming from small night light sized lamps. 'Deep Sea Fish' a sign above read a veil of gas separating the areas.

As we went down the hallway I got nervous, more and more. The next thing I saw nearly scared the life out of me making me jump back and knock into Gaara with a small yelp. "Gaara." I say quickly grabbing his jacket with one hand. In response all I got was a chuckle before I was quickly enveloped in an unexpected hug.

"What?Scared?" He teased

"Yeah...maybe."I mumbled.

"Look." He said and I turned to look at the fish that scared me. It's jaw unhinged like a snake and detached from its body with a red light in its face. I look quickly and cringe, "It's scary." I mumble and he laughs "Not at the fish, at me." I follow what he says to be met by a pair of mint-ish eyes.

"Hi." I say plainly. "Hi." He whispers hugging me tighter putting his head in top of mine kissing it. "Not here." I said but he discarded my words. He leans down farther to put his head in my neck causing me to blush and cling to him. "Cute..." He whispers and continues "I can't believe your this cute. I can't believe how much I want you." My blush deepens.

We sit like that until we hear more people coming, the we slowly separate still holding hands. The rest of the aquarium being the same as before, with me point and gaping.

We exit the building it being practically 1:30pm. We get into the car and he begins to taxi me to the next place he wishes. "Now to lunch!" He declares. He picks my favorite restaurant, Toojay's. It is a deli but a restaurant with mostly Jewish food. We walk in and are immediately seated despite the large line.

"Man it is busy." I say looking around. "Mmh hmm." Is all I receive and I turn to see Gaara on his phone. I wait for a moment and take his phone. "No texting at the table, Gaa-Tan." I say getting a seeing a slight blush from the man across the table. "But I-" he tries to object but I cut him off. "Gaa-Tan." I say and he just looks away then says "Fine."

"Just don't call me that."
