Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto, neither do I own any other of Masashi Kishimoto's works. I only own my characters which have been incorporated into the story!

It's been a few days since I've last been outside. Currently, it's early in the morning. Around 7:10 would be my estimate. I haven't been sleeping well lately; but I guess that's the price that comes with reading scrolls late at night. Although, I feel as if I'm forgetting something. I don't think it's that important… Yet it's still nagging me. I guess I'll have to wait and see.

Sleepy, I trudged down the stairs, my choppy hair messily sticking out in different directions and knotted in awkward places. It seemed as if it had a mind of its own. My feet were freezing against the marble stairs, but I had left my shoes back in my room. It wasn't a smart decision, as it turns out.

Rubbing an eye drowsily, I hopped down the last three steps and landed on the ground, almost loosing my footing as I stumbled backwards slightly. Choosing to ignore this small 'incident', I continued my way to the kitchen as my stomach growled quietly. It would seem no one was awake yet. Well, by no-one I mean Seiichi and Tadao. My father is up and about at around 5 in the morning and then leaves to do his 'jobs'. He doesn't return until far into the evening; unless he chooses to come home earlier and have me do the tedious work like picking up imports or making reservations, along with the norm of going grocery shopping in his and my brothers' place.

As for Akihiro, he was at Academy. Although he's the youngest and most immature out of my brothers, he isn't the brightest either. He chooses to resort to violent and prude 'tactics' rather than using his brain or even thinking think through; Which resulted in him failing the end exams at least twice now. No one says a word about it though. Never has he come home from Academy and even once complained about any sort of bullying or teasing about him failing consecutively. I highly doubt anyone would dare mess with him.

Even if my brothers make fun of me, they do it as a group. Whatever one of them does, the rest follow, especially when it's Seiichi who's the influence, him being the oldest. But the point is, if one of them gets hurt by someone, that someone will get it handed back to them, and twice as painfully. I think everyone got that after some poor idiot made the mistake of accidentally elbowing Akihiro during class training and got beaten into a mess by Seiichi and Tadao. Yes, it isn't fair, but that's how they function.

Evidently, when they're separated, all three of them turn into lost sheep. It's almost as if their brains are split into three; and each one of them possessing only one piece; So that when they're apart, each one of them are left helpless. It's quite funny, if you think about it, but it just goes to show how much they rely on each other.

Sighing, I stepped into the kitchen and bee-lined straight towards the cupboard, opening it and getting out a cup. Heading to the counter, I began brewing myself some plum tea. Without having to wait too long, the tea had been prepared and so I poured it into my cup. Now slightly more awake, I searched about the kitchen for my agave nectar, which I found a container of in one of the cupboards further to the corner of the room. Grabbing it, I added it into my tea. It's something my grandmother taught me to add. Her favorite tea is plum tea. We used to make it together all the time when I was small. Plum tea is hard to find or make by itself already, but it's even rarer to add agave nectar into it as you have to gather the nectar by yourself since they don't sell it in stores.

As much as I dislike my brothers, I still prepared breakfast for them as soon as I was awake. It's become a habit, really. Hence, for the next hour or so, I prepared breakfast for all three of them, as Akihiro will be returning early today as my Father had told me last evening. Its odd though; Akihiro rarely gets to come home early…

Choosing to disregard that fact, I continued on to making breakfast for them, as I only drink tea in the morning. My excuse is that it has enough nutrients and vitamins to preserve me until lunch; which it does. Also, training with my father in the mornings occasionally has damaged my stomach some-what as it'd always end up with my breakfast all over the floor which isn't pleasant at all… You'd think that after time your stomach would get used to it, but for me it just got worse as my metabolism, general immunity system, and stamina fail me anyways.

By the time I was finished making breakfast, it was just about 9 o'clock, and I could already hear the shuffling from upstairs. I took this opportunity to warm up the remaining plum tea that I had left for them and fetched three cups. By the time the tea was warm again, I could head the muffled voices of Tadao and Seiichi as one unlocked his door and walked down the hallways to enter the others room. Soon, their voices became clearer as they trudged down the stairs.

Setting everything onto the table, I poured the tea into their individual cups and set them on the table, along with the container of agave nectar, as I was unsure if either of them wanted any of it added to their teas. As I was admiring my work, both of them lumbered into the kitchen. Looking up at them, I bowed leisurely in greeting.

"Good morning."

I stated, my voice still slightly hoarse form waking up. Roughly pulling out their stools from under the table with a loud thud, they sat down simultaneously, the only indication of acknowledging my greeting coming from Seiichi's dismissive wave of his hand.

As soon as they were comfortable in their seats, they began practically inhaling their food, the only pause they made being when Seiichi snapped his fingers to catch my attention and Tadao pointing at the nectar and then to each of their teas. Getting their message, I added it into their teas, as if they were incapable of doing it themselves. From that point on, they just continued stuffing their mouths.

While they were preoccupied with their food, I began cleaning up the remains I left on the counter and threw away what needed to be but left the little tea that was still there a long with Akihiro's cup. During the process of wiping down the counter with a wet cloth, curiosity got the better of me.

"When is Akihiro returning?"

I questioned, turning around in anticipation. Seiichi shoveled the food remains on his plate into his mouth before opening his stuffed mouth to reply.

"J-"

But before he could even finish saying a word, the entrance door slammed open, and the sound of running footsteps was heading towards us. Immediately, we all turned out heads to face the doorway of the kitchen, surprised. Soon, the footsteps skidded to a halt, the person almost running past us. Just then, Akihiro's head popped into the door way for a second before he stepped in and came running to the table. There was something odd about him… There was a bright grin plastered across his face and…

That's when I finally noticed it: A blue headband was tied across his forehead, a couple of stray hairs framing the Villages symbol that was embedded into the metal attached to the blue cloth. Before anyone could comment, Akihiro yelled,

"I DID IT!"

He exclaimed, pointing towards his forehead. Seiichi and Tadao began clapping jokingly for him, yelling out the occasional 'woo's to congratulate him and patting him on the back.

"Jealous~?"

He cooed towards me, making a smug face and a smirk. I held myself back from rolling my eyes or responding in any other way than forcing a smile and bowing to him.

"Congratulations."

I stated with faux happiness, causing him to pout in disappointment as I hadn't given him the reaction which he had wanted from me.

"You're no fun~"

He stated, causing his brothers to chuckle. In a split second, he was grinning again and slammed his hands down onto the table in excitement, causing the plates and cups to rattle under his force. His eyes glimmered with eagerness.

"You guys won't believe what this weird 'Naruto' kid did after he failed again!"

Oh boy, Naruto…
