Towards the end of the afternoon, Holly noticed that she had not seen Gail since lunch. She spotted Maura and asked, "Have you seen Gail?"

"No, and as a matter of fact, I was looking for Jane."

Holly thought for a moment, and then it clicked. "I think I know where they are. Gail packed her game console."

Holly opened her hotel room to discover that it was empty, and that Gail's video game gear was nowhere in sight. Holly texted Gail to see where she was.

Gail: Rm 646. Jane's here, too.

Holly told Maura the information, and they headed to the room. They ran into Melinda on their way, and discovered they were headed to the same spot. "Apparently our partners are playing games in your hotel room," Maura stated.

Melinda raised an eyebrow and then shook her head and said, "Too easy," with a smirk. She swiped her key card for the three of them to enter the room.

Holly looked incredulous, "Did you guys hack into the hotel cable and internet settings just so you can play your little video games?"

Maura added, "You guys are all cops—you should be ashamed of yourselves!"

Melinda asked, "Why are you all up here anyway and not at the conference?"

"See what had happened was…," Fin started, "Amanda needed something to do, so being the good partner that I am, I had to check on her and invited her to play video games."

Maura looked at Jane expectantly. "Gail and I were hungry and decided to look for snacks," Jane impulsively answered.

"Right after lunch?" Maura asked while crossing her arms.

"Yes. And we found Amanda with cookies."

Amanda grabbed and held up the Ziploc bag, "Double chocolate!"

"And they're good as fuck," Gail piped up.

"So you ditch me at a conference for another woman's cookies?" Holly asked.

"And shooting up zombies!" Gail protested.

"I cannot," Holly shook her head.

The couples present broke off into their own chatter when Amanda received a text.

Olivia: Hey Lady, I finally caught a break. What are you up to?Amanda: Playing video games with Fin and some new friends.Olivia: I thought he had his hands tied at that conference Melinda is running?Amanda: Well he did, but he managed to break free.Olivia: Ah ok. Want to grab dinner?Amanda: Sounds good! Let me know what place and time to meet you.

"Well everyone, it's been great hanging out, but I need to go meet Liv for dinner," Amanda told the group.

Gail interjected, "Oh, dinner! I'm starved! Can we come, too?" looking at Holly.

"Us three?" Jane asked. "I'm so hungry!"

Maura said, "You two are like children. Seriously, listen to yourselves."

Fin chuckled and responded, "I know the best pizza place in the city, hands down. And the owner owes me a favor. I can call to reserve a table."

Amanda texted Olivia: Change of plans.
