Ben's P.O.V.

I can't believe what I just heard. I don't even know how to begin to process it. Summer.. what is going on?

Loud footsteps quickly made their way up the stairs. Kate and Keith stood at the top of them, breathing heavily. Worry was written all over their faces. I'm assuming they've seen the telecast as well. I walked over to them, my hands curled into fists. "I'm going to go get her, and bring her home."

Keith's eyebrows furrowed. "And you think we are going to let you do it alone?" I shook my head, walking down the stairs.

"I messed everything up. I broke her heart and drove her to this. If anyone needs to apologize and set things right, it is me. I love her. I've realized now how much I actually need her. There is no way I'm letting her get away again."

Kate put her hand on my shoulder, stopping me at the bottom of the stair case. "Summer needs you. We are going to do whatever it takes to get you to her."

A smile spread across my face. "Thank you.."

Summer's P.O.V.

"Ben, don't you dare! I swear to the gods I'll-" A laughing scream echoed through the clear blue sky as Ben tackled me into the warm ocean water. When we surfaced, I jumped onto his back and rubbed my fist on the top of his head. He reached behind his back and tickled my sides, causing me to immediately lose my grip. The two of us were hit with a wave, knocking us back in the water.

He picked me up by the waist and hauled me over his shoulder. "Let's go, Sweetheart. Dinner starts soon and its my favorite meal. Mac and cheese!" He said excitedly as he placed me down on my towel. He sat down beside me on his towel and wrapped an arm around my bare waist. "When we are married and have little Bens and Summers running around, can we have like a mac and cheese night once every week?"

I laughed heartily, leaning into his chest. "First off, in your dreams. Second, don't you think that would be a little unhealthy?"

His head rested against mine. "So? Mac and cheese is amazing. Don't worry, you'll give in when the time comes." I scoffed but smiled. My eyes began to get heavy. I'm so relaxed with him. As much as I hate to admit it, I definitely have strong feelings for him. He is my best friend though.. so it'd be better that he didn't know. I don't want to ruin this. He is too important to me.

His fingers brushed against my neck, moving the hair to the side. Goosebumps littered my exposed neck as his lips softly rested on it. I breathed out heavily, my heart raced. His lips pulled away and he brought them to my ear. "This is going to hurt." He whispered. What?

A terrible piercing sting spread through my neck. I screamed out, trying to get away. I felt restraints on my wrists and ankles keep me in place. As I struggled, my back began to burn. I could feel each gash begin to reopen, the blood spreading across the white sheets. Whatever was in my neck was pulled out. The stinging began to alleviate but for some reason, I began to feel off. The person looked down at me, his face familiar. He is that asshole scientist who healed my rib wrong. "Now look what you've done. You've reopened your wounds and bloodied up the bed."

I wanted to speak but my mouth wouldn't move. My entire body felt robotic and numb. Silence loomed over us as he changed the bandaging on my back and the sheets on the bed. He said something along the lines of trying to stay still.. but I can't remember, and released me from my restraints. Now that I think of it.. where are I? How did I get here? I remember absolutely nothing.

The door to the room slid open. A man walked in with his hands behind his back. He seemed familiar but I can't put my finger on it. "Look at where we are now. Your rebellious attitude and non willingness to conform will soon be wiped away. Ohh, Summer dear. Look what you've made me done. I've had my top scientist inject you with a serum that will wipe your entire memory. In a few moments, you will be a blank slate. I will then fill you in on everything and you will be mine for the controlling. It was too risky trying to take the growth from your brain and give it to someone else. This however is much more humane." I started to forget what he was saying as it was leaving his mouth. What is happening?! "We've engineered the serum to keep your knowledge on combat skills, knife throwing, and your archery techniques. You will be a killing machine. And one more thing. You will keep every single pleasant memory of your dear mother. Sadly, it will be used against you. Your supernatural abilities are going to be your downfall." Someone help me. He looked to his watch on his wrist. "You should have no memory right about now." My entire mind went blank.

A man looked down at me, a smile spread across his face. "My name is Grant Minami. I am the leader of Team Explosion. You are an elite member here and my daughter. We are going to commence a raid on our enemies. The Rangers have killed many of our own. One of them being your mother." He pulled out a picture of my mother. I looked at her, tears welling in my eyes. Th-they killed her? Why couldn't I stop them? "They tried to take you away from us after they brutally murdered your mother. Wanted you to be like them and tried to convert you. But your brother and Aiden saved you. He brought you back to us. Now, in an hour, we will be raiding their school for soon-to-be Rangers. Then we will take out the Rangers in each town and soon we will eliminate the Top Rangers. We will kill every last one of them. Team Explosion is trying to create a better future. One where no one steps out of line. Where Pokemon, wild or trained, will listen to command without hesitation. Where the people of our world will bow down to the Team Explosion and its leader, me. I will make this world a better place. But I need you, Summer."

"What can I do to help?" I asked determined. I'll get my revenge for my mother.

My father smiled down at me. "You have abilities. Special abilities that make you different from anyone to ever live. You can communicate with Pokemon flawlessly. Maybe on an even more extreme level if you wish. You will lead an army of specially trained Team Explosion soldiers and a deadly Pokemon into battle with the Rangers. Control the Pokemon and you will be unstoppable. Mind you, this Pokemon isn't willing to conform easily so it will take patience. Within this final hour, I want you to visit him, and try to connect with him. Be kind, and he may just do what you ask of him. Remember Summer, these Rangers took you in and tried to change you. They will claim to be your friends but it is nothing but lies. Your brother, Felix, Aiden Holmes, and I are the only people you can trust. No go, and fulfill your destiny."

My destiny...

"Y-you're my brother, right? Felix?" I asked hesitantly as we walked through the luminescent white hallways.

He nodded, turning around with a smile on his face. "That's right baby sis. It is good to have you back."

I smiled softly. "Felix? Do you have any idea why I can't remember anything from before? I remember how to fight.. and I remember Mom. That's it though. Everything is so scattered and fragmented. I feel like a lot is missing."

Felix was quiet for a few seconds as we continued down the hallway. We stopped in front of a heavily guarded large metal door. "The Rangers found out about your abilities and tried to take it. So they took away your memories and tried to make you one of them. If it weren't for Aiden and I, you'd still be there most likely. And they would be using you to destroy the world." He growled. What terrible people. I won't disappoint father. I'll get our revenge. Felix placed both his hands on my shoulders. "What lies beyond this door is one of the most powerful Pokemon to ever live in our world. Earn his trust and convince him to let you in. Once you gain his trust, he will fight by your side." I took a deep breath. "Make us proud, Summer."

Metal screeched against metal, sending chills over my body. The door opened slightly, and after a gulp, I stepped in. The boom of the door closing echoed through the large, poorly lit room. My eyes strained to see the end of the room. Glowing dark purple eyes glared at me, shining through the blackness. I breathed in shakily. "Hello. My name is Summer. Would it be okay if I could see you?" My voice was soothing and calm. Somehow, I managed to calm myself down. A sort of aura made itself noticed. One of pure hate and misunderstandings.

The glowing eyes dulled, and the room lit up slightly. I know this Pokemon.. A gasp escaped my mouth as I heard a strong voice in my head. What is it you want from me, human?

Mewtwo. "I need your help." My voice was steady.

He chuckled. What makes you think I would help you? All your humans are the same. Vile creatures that use Pokemon like slaves. Look at me for example. Cloned from another Pokemon for pathetic human studies. He emerged the rest of his body from the darkness. I took a step to him, showing that I'm not afraid.

"Listen Mewtwo, in a way, I understand where you are coming from. Maybe not to your extent but not all humans are bad."

Mewtwo scoffed. And how could a mere human understand the amount of pain I've been through? How could you possibly understand what it is like to be lost in a world you were never meant to be in?

The angst in his voice made my heart ache. I can feel his sorrow and emotions running through me. "I don't have much of my memory left. It was stolen from me. But I have this faint memory of my mother. It's very fragmented but I remember her being attacked while I was in her womb. I was dead. Then a Pokemon -Celebi- I think, brought me back to life. I was never meant to walk on this earth. Celebi left an imprint on me, allowing me to communicate with Pokemon on unbelievable levels. I can feel the grief and suffering locked away deep inside your heart. I know what it is like to not exactly know your destiny." His eyes widened. "But I think I've found mine. And I need your help. I can tell by your aura that you're a prisoner here, regardless of what my father says. Please fight alongside me, Mewtwo. And I promise, no matter what it takes, I will help you escape from here so you can find your destiny as well."

He was quiet for a while, staring at me. He looked down to his hands. How can I trust that you will help me after I've assisted you?

I thought for a few seconds. "Well you're a psychic Pokemon. Do you think you could somehow bind me to the promise?"

Mewtwo nodded and floated to me. He placed his three fingers to my Hummingbird tattoo. A dark purple mist surrounded his fingers and I felt something pierce my collarbone. I cried out clutching my skin. The tattoo glowed purple, pulsing softly. You won't be able to break your promise, no matter what you try. I nodded my head.

"The raid will begin soon. I'll see you then." We both nodded, and I walked to the doors, waiting for them to open. After they closed back up, I leaned against the cold metal, clutching the burning skin of my tattoo. I will help you Mewtwo.

Felix said this was my room. I placed my hand over the scanner and withing seconds, the door slid open. A very handsome man sat in a chair by the open window. The breeze from an oncoming storm blew through his sandy blonde hair. I stood staring mesmerized at him, unable to look away. His deep green eyes held sorrow. He must be deep in thought. He didn't even hear me come in. The door slid shut with a thump. The man looked at me, his eyes widening. I spoke too soon. "Uhh.. I think I'm in the wrong room. Sorry." I chuckled, ready to turn around and walk out.

"Summer?" He choked out. I blinked and the next thing I knew, his arms were around me. I gasped, my body completely freezing up. "I'm so sorry I had to hurt you. I never want to hurt you. Summer, I love you." A rippling pain crawled down the length of my back from his arms squeezing me. I cringed at the pain and his words. He is saying he loves me, but I don't know who this guy even is.

He pulled back slightly to look at me. His eyes rapidly scanned my face, his eyebrows furrowing. "I'm sorry but-"

"Something isn't right." I gasped when he took hold of my head and gently pulled it to one side, exposing my neck. He ran his fingers over the skin and stopped when he hit a bump. "No.. I didn't think they would do this. Not yet at least. Fuck!"

He grasped his hair, pacing in front of me. "You wouldn't happen to be Aiden, would you?" His eyes widened.

"How do you remember me?" He asked, grasping my shoulders gently. I nearly got lost in his beautiful eyes.

"M-my father told me you were one of the few I could trust." Aiden sighed. He pulled me into a hug, this time avoiding whatever was aching on my back. "Summer, you have to listen to me. Your father and brother are-"

A loud beeping sounded over the intercom. "All soldiers report to the front gate. General and Lieutenant Holmes report to the front gate for briefing."

"Well that's us." Aiden took hold of my hand, leading me out the door. "I'll tell you the truth soon." The truth? What could that mean?

Something doesn't make sense. "Aiden? Why did they say your last name, and then you said 'that's us'? Why isn't my last name Minami like my father's?"

He seemed to cringe at the question, his posture slouching slightly. "Don't worry about it. It means absolutely nothing. Your last name is Minami but just go with it." I nodded. Why does he seem so upset about all this?

But I can't worry about that right now. What matters is getting revenge for my mother.

Alrighty, so hopefully everyone enjoyed. -A
