Ben's P.O.V.

A light drizzle began to patter to the ground. Lightning crashed in the sky, causing the small hairs on the back of my neck to rise. "Somethings isn't right." I said quietly. Keith nodded, looking towards the treeline.

"I don't have a good feeling about this. There is something eerie about the air. Something is coming." Kate crossed her arms, looking uneasy.

Over the light patter on the rain, I could hear rapid footsteps. Far too fast for any human. My eyes scanned the treeline and I saw an orange and yellow object burst through the trees. "Combusken?" She ran up to me, frantically pointing towards the trees. I looked to Kate and Keith, their eyes weary. "Summer.. Alright Combusken, lead us to her."

We jogged after Combusken through the trees. With time, the rain had picked up, now falling in steady waves to the ground. We came to a stop when a constant pounding approached us. Men and women walked through along a clearing, marching in sync. My eyes widened as Kate gasped. At the very front of the pack, stood Summer. Her skin shone a sickly pale. Purple bags had formed under her blood shot eyes. A quiver of bows was strung across her back, a large bow in her hand. A belt was clipped loosely around her waist, holding at least twenty different types of knives. Her black uniform looked different from the soldiers' behind her. It matched the style of the guy next to her.

He leaned over, whispering something in her ear, earning a laugh and a small smile. Who the fuck is this guy? "Ben?" Kate's whisper tore me from my thoughts. "They are heading towards the school. And that Pokemon.. I've heard things about it. They are going to do something bad." What Pokemon? I looked back towards Summer. A large Pokemon floated next to her. His body was a light purple adorned with a dark purple tail. He is psychic Pokemon definitely. Mewtwo, I think. He's an old legend. I didn't think he actually existed.

"Get back to the school. It looks to be where hey are headed. Warn everyone and evacuate the school. I'm going to find their base and destroy it." Kate gave me questioning eyes.

"You against an entire base? They'll murder you." Keith said frantically.

I thought for a few seconds, my eyes scanning the army. "Look at all the soldiers. There has to be a limited amount of staff still guarding the base. Besides, I'll have Combusken to guide me. Now hurry. Protect everyone." The two of them nodded their heads, sprinting back towards the school.

Combusken lead me straight to their headquarters. Two guards stood at the front, although, they didn't seem to know what they were doing. Both shivered slightly, holding their weapons awkwardly. There has to be another way inside. Combusken tugged on my shirt, pointing to the side of the building. I followed her with quick footsteps. As we approached the side, I saw an open window. How did Combusken know this was here? This must have been Summer's room.

After I jumped through the window, and assisted Combusken on getting in, my eyes scanned the area. A dresser sat next to a medium sized bed. Bits of clothing hung out from the drawers. On top of the dresser lay two objects. I picked the first one up- a book, with that strange creature. Where have I seen this before...? "'A Hummingbird.' she said softly. I looked at her in confusion. 'My mom read a lot of books, most of them consisting of fantasy. On the cover of her favorite book was this bird. I remember my mom commenting on how much she loved it, so after she died, I decided to keep a piece of her with me.'"

My heart ached at the memory. This is her Mother's book, the one she was holding in the picture from the locket. My hand slipped into my pocket, the cold chain providing little comfort. I have to remember to give it back to her when I see her. If I see her. No, I will see her. I'm going to win her back.

The next object on the dresser was an empty pill bottle. I hesitantly picked it up, looking at the print. Pain Killers - Prescribed to Summer Minami - Take 1-2 a day depending on pain - Are they hurting her? I need to take down whoever is running this sick operation. I'm assuming it's Summer's father, Grant. He won't get away with this.

Combusken and I stepped out into the white hallway. My footsteps echoed louder than I would've preferred. There was a squeaking behind us. My body froze. Combusken turned, her eyes widening. "Busken!" A hard object -most likely metal- struck the back of my skull. My body instantly collapsed, my eyes closing.

Summer's P.O.V.

We came to a stop at the treeline, side of the school. The large hill in front blocked the bottom half view of the building. Now is the time. I'll get my revenge.

The feeling of something touching my hand startled me. I looked down to see Aiden holding my hand gently. My eyes wandered up to his, feeling something strange inside me. He leaned down to me, his lips resting against my temple. Something inside me aches at this gesture. His grip loosens and I step forward, letting his hand fall to his side. I walk until I am a few steps out from the treeline, standing in the clearing. Mewtwo floated to me, awaiting my instructions. "Lend me your powers." My voice was strong but polite. He nodded, his eyes glowing a deep purple. My body pulsed. I blinked rapidly, the same color staining my vision. Within seconds, everything before me was purple, yet I could see with such detail. All my senses heightened. Quick footsteps approached the top of the hill. A girl stood at the top, looking down to me. I 'zoomed' in closer to her face, trying to find any recognition. Beads of sweat heavily collected on her hair line and forehead. Her blue eyes were watery, her brown hair in two disheveled spiked ponytails. I noticed her irregular breathing, heard the unevenness of each wheeze. The downpour of rain soaked her clothes.

"Summer, please!" She pleaded. "Don't do this! You know it isn't right!" The wind of the storm blew past us, causing her shirt to snap against her skin. The sound made me cringe, my back suddenly aching. "We are your friends, Summer! It's me, Kate. Please, you have to remember me! Don't hurt these innocent people!"

Innocent. Each of her words sickens me. How dare she act as if nothing has happened. I held my hand out, my palm facing her. Mewtwo moved in sync with me. I focused on the energy around me and a ball of purple energy began to form in front of Mewtwo's hand. "Now." At the last second, I lowered my aim to her feet. Mewtwo released the energy ball. She had no time to react before the ball exploded at her feet. She shrieked, her body blasted backwards out of sight.

Thunder crashed in the sky. I cried out, gripping the sides of my head. Lightning streaked, illuminating the sky. My eyes burned. Another booming of thunder set something off. I heard nothing. Images few by. Memories flooded my mind. Voices mashed together, piercing my ears. Things flashed in front of me, too fast to comprehend. Then everything froze.

Steam surrounded my body. I unknowingly squeezed the soft fabric of a towel, holding it closer to my bare body. Hot water dripped from my hair, rolling down my skin. I'm back in the girls bathroom. Ben stood in front of me. Why is he in here? He ran his thumb over the fire tattooed on my collarbone. His eyes were hazy, only half open. He wrapped his arms around me, closing the space between our bodies. My breath hitched, knowing the only thing separating us is a thin towel. Heat rushed to my cheeks. "Please." His soft voice went almost unrecognized. I feel like it has been so long since I heard it. "Summer, wake up." He pulled away, caressing my cheek in the palm of his hand.

A relieved sigh escaped past my parted lips. I've craved his touch for so long. "Ben.. what am I going to do? I've missed you so much." My voice was small, almost retreating. "Ben, you hurt me. That night.. Why did you-" His thumb ran across my lower lip, making me quiver.

"What I did was wrong. It was wrong of me to hurt you. I never meant to. But if you don't wake up now, I won't be there to tell you.." His hand dropped to his side.

"Tell me what?" I asked. His body began to disappear. "Ben. Come back." The room began to stretch backwards, as if someone were pulling it away from me. "Ben, please!" His body was gone, the room, completely ripped from sight.

It was as if someone had torn something from my body. I opened my eyes, everything still stained purple. Tears streaked down my cheeks. I stood up from my crouched position. What have I done? Ohh, Kate. Mewtwo looked to me. You must make things right. So he saw all of that as well.

My hands curled into fists. All of the deceit. All of the betrayal. That ends here. I turned towards the army behind me, determination set in my jaw. Mewtwo, I need you to erase their memory, I thought. He nodded, holding his hand out towards them. Aiden moved next to me. A dark purple aura surrounded all the grunts. Within seconds, it disappeared. They looked at each other, confusion and chaos erupting.

I turned to Mewtwo. "I know what my true destiny is, and I thank you for your help. Truly become free, and I hope you will find yours. If you are ever in any danger or need help, don't hesitate to find me." I said softly, hugging the powerful Pokemon. He seemed shocked at first, but hugged me back. You are not like other humans. You are compassionate and understand what we Pokemon feel. A warning. There will be a severe consequence for a choice you are soon to make. Make sure you are willing to take it. My heart pounded in my chest. Kirlia has given me a similar warning. Regardless of my fear, I nodded my head. We shall meet again.

Mewtwo rose high into the sky, a bright blue ball surrounding him. He zoomed out of sight. The dark purple color faded from my sight until it was back to normal. I turned to Aiden. "We have to get to the base." He nodded.

The two of us began to sprint towards the headquarters, leaving the disheveled army behind us. I don't remember seeing Mablyn or Flynn in the mix. I hope they are okay.

The constant sting of pain from my back began to worsen. I began to trail behind Aiden, his long legs too fast for me. Something grabbed the back of my shirt, pulling me into the air. I gasped, landing on top of Ponyta's back. A wave of relief washed over me. Ponyta ran next to Aiden. I grabbed his hand and pulled him up behind me. Ponyta ran through the trees, Aiden and I ducking under low branches. "Please Ponyta, hurry." A white light encased him, nearly blinding me. When it died down, I looked at Ponyta. My breath hitched at the beautiful creature under me. Rapidash whinnied, racing faster than ever before. The wind tore through my hair, sending it flying every which way.

Finally, we arrived at the building. We hopped off Rapidash. I thanked him, giving him a good scratch behind the ear. Aiden pulled me towards the front door, which was oddly unguarded. The two of us raced trough the bare hallways. Where the hell is everyone? A realization hit me. I came to a stop. "What? What is it?" Aiden asked breathlessly, coming to a stop.

"The weather machine. First off, we need to destroy it. Something like that doesn't belong. Second, if we break it, people will come to fix it. Then we can get somewhere." Aiden nodded his head. "Any idea where it is?" I asked.

"This way." He grabbed my hand, leading me behind him.

After running through winding hallways, we arrived at a locked door. Aiden entered a lengthy pass code, and the door slide open. A huge machine sat in the middle of the room. A satellite dish continuously moved in different directions. "Do you know what you're doing?" I asked as Aiden approached the machine.

He scoffed, typing things in on the control panel. "I helped create it. Without the others knowing, I added a self-destruct option. Only I know the code." After about a minute, he entered the last code. There was a shudder and a loud alarm went off. I covered my ears, letting Aiden pull me out the door and down the hallway. An explosion shook the entire building. "Get ready." He said in a low voice.

I held my bow tightly in my hand, knocking an arrow. Before I could process the sound, Felix tackled me to the ground. Two grunts went after Aiden. Felix kicked me in my stomach, sending me sliding back into the wall. "Felix, please." My voice was desperate. Aiden continued to fight the two grunts off. I'm not sure how much longer he can hold off. I stood up, only to be punched in the jaw. My body collapsed to the hard tile, my bow sliding away from my body. The metallic taste of blood made me cringe. Felix towered over me, "Please, you don't have to do this." The two grunts pinned Aiden down. He was on two knees, his arms held behind his back. "Felix, you can still stop this. You can make up for everything, and I'll forgive you. We can go back to normal."

He stopped looking down at me. I got on all fours, groaning at my aching rib. Aiden and the two grunts watched us. Felix stood there for a few seconds, completely silent. He looked to me, his mouth twitching slightly. "Alright, Summer. We can work together to finish this." Another wave of relief washed over me.

"Summer! No! He is-" A small grunt escaped his lips. I watched in terror as the grunt pulled out the blood soaked knife from Aiden's upper back. The other grunt released his arms, letting Aiden's limp body collapse to the floor. Blood began to pool around his body, covering the white tile.

My strangled scream echoed through the hallway. "Aiden!"

Alright, so hopefully everyone enjoyed! Till next time. -A
