I only own my OC's and plot.
"So, you don't know what your hair is going to look like?" Scott said, looking at all of us.
"Nope. They're surprising us." I said, smiling.
"Get out of here!" Aly said, laughing as she shuts the door so they can't see us.
"It's not like it's anyone's wedding day." Stiles said.
"Shut up!" I say, laughing. The ladies were doing our hair and makeup. It seemed to go by really fast, and they were doing it so nicely. We continued to talk and laugh and feel pretty.
"I can't wait to get out of here!" Ariel said.
"You'll miss it someday." I say, smiling.
"HA! Yeah right! You're real funny, Ash." Ariel said.
"I'm serious. 10 years will go by so fast and you'll be wishing you could go back and be in high school again. Or that you could change how something went because you have so much more knowledge now than you did back then."
"I highly doubt I'll miss this place." Aly said.
"I will." Kira said, smiling.
"See guys, Kira enjoyed my little speech." I say, laughing.
"Alright. You girls are all done." Amelia (one of the hair ladies) said. They all hand us a mirror. We all gasped in unison.
"Oh my god I love it!" Aly said.
"Thank you." I said.
"I feel so...pretty. Something that I never feel." Ariel said, astonished at what she saw in the mirror.
"Agreed." I say, happy with how it all turned out.
"Let's get out of here!" I say, opening the door. When the guys saw us, their jaws dropped open. We laughed at their reactions. It was like prom all over again. We grabbed something to eat and headed for the school.
"Guys in this limo. Girls in that one." Derek said. I wasn't shocked that he was here. I was actually kind of happy. I know that the kiss didn't mean anything to me, but it would've had to have meant something to him, or else he wouldn't of done it. Either way, I was relieved that he was here, both to see me graduate since we've become friends, and to be here in case something was to happen.
"Thank you for coming." I said as I got into the limo.
"Not a problem." Derek said, smiling. He waited for the rest of us to get into the limo and then shut the door. He walked over to the guys' limo.
"We'll see you there?" Scott asked Derek.
"Yes. I'll meet you there. Take care of them, no matter what." Derek said.
"We will." Isaac said. Derek shut the door and the limo pulled out of the driveway. Derek got into his car and followed us there. The girls and I were talking and excited, and the guys were...well, being guys.
"I can't wait for it to be official." I say, excited.
"I know, right." Ariel said.
"Are we still planning on a summer road trip?" Aly asked.
"I think so. You guys are welcome to join us if you want to." I say to Allison, Lydia, and Kira.
"Sounds fun. Where are we going?" Allison asked.
"Anywhere to get out of here and enjoy our last summer together before we all go off on our own." I explain.
"I don't have anything planned except getting ready to go to college. I think I could take a few weeks off." Allison said.
"Me too." Lydia agreed.
"The guys haven't said much on it. Do you think they forgot about it?" I asked.
"Doubt it. But they're guys so who knows?" Ariel said laughing. We all laugh as the limo pulls into the parking lot.
"Wow. This is it." I say, trying not to cry at all the emotions.
"This is it." Aly said.
"YES!" Ariel said, trying to be funny. We all look at her and laugh.
"Really?" I say, still laughing.
"Hey, it broke the mood, didn't it?" Ariel said, hugging me.
"Ugh! I'm going to miss you so much!" I say to Ariel as we get out of the limo.
"Hey now, you'll be seeing me all summer." Ariel said.
"Let's go do this." Allison said. Even though I had hated Allison and Lydia, they seemed to really connect with us and I'm glad that we're all friends. I haven't known Kira that long, but I feel like all of us have a connection that we didn't have before.
"Are you guys ready?" Kira asked, looking at us and the guys.
"I am." Scott said.
"Me too." Isaac agreed.
"I think all of us are!" Lydia said. We head into the school and straight for the gym. The principal greeted us and showed us to our seats. I saw my parents in the gym, and I waved. Brian waved, too. My parents looked so proud of both Brian and I. I saw Kira wave to her parents, and Allison to her grandma. Scott waved to his mom, even though his face fell because he remembered his dad wasn't here. Ariel waved at her parents and smiled. Stiles waved to his dad, and then waved to Scott's mom who was like his mom. I know we were all emotional, even the guys. It was here. Graduation was finally happening.
"After 12 years in school, 4 of those actually counting for this moment. We've seen it all happen before, but now that it's us, it's a different kind of emotion. Graduation is something that doesn't come freely. There were sacrafices made, friendships built and lost, relationships built and lost. Teachers were made friends of ours, sleepovers, bonfires, study groups. They're all representing us and who we are. High school can build you and break you. How you handle it, is your choice. Congratulations Class of 2014. WE DID IT!" I say, looking at all the eyes that were on me. I smiled and headed for my seat.
Scott looked at me and smiled. My parents had tears in their eyes. I was trying not to cry, but it just didn't work. With tears slowly streaming down my cheeks, I watched and my classmates lined up for their diploma. Before I knew it, they were calling my name. MY NAME! I can't believe this is happening, but it was. For a while, I totally forgot about the world. I was in my moment, and watching my friends get their diplomas. That was their moment. This was mine. I shook hands eith my principal and a few teachers who were presenting the diplomas, and I walked back to my seat. I could hardly contain myself.
As I sat down, the lights flickered. Scott and Derek looked at me, and we waited. I looked at the clock. It was 8:30. The sun was setting, and we knew what that could mean. Please not on graduation night. The lights were flickering, but we never lost power, until the very end.
"With congratulations to all of you, I ask that you will put your tassels to the left side." Said our principal with a smile on her face. Once we did, she continued talking.
"I present, Beacon Hills High School Class of 2016!" She said. The gym errupted with claps. The lights went out one by one, and the clapping died down. Screams came from every direction. This was it. It was time.
