I knew it was time. I took a deep breath and someone reached for my hand.
"Let's go." I heard Scott say. It wasn't pitch black, but dark enough to make people stumble over things. We were able to find eachother, and met in the corner. The Oni were appearing everywhere, but they weren't stabbing anyone. They were just making a mark on everyone's ear, which made them pretty much freeze to death if they didn't warm up quick enough.
"Let's do this." Brian said.
"Allison is our only chance at hitting them with these things." Derek said.
"Why?" Kira asked, really confused.
"Because I'm a hunter." Allison said, grabbing her bow-and-arrow and running.
"What is going on?" Kira asked, looking at me.
"Brian, get her out of here." I say to him.
"Okay. Let's go." Brian said, grabbing her arm and leading her to the door.
"Brian tell me what's going on." Kira said.
"There's no time. Just get out of here." Brian said, literally pushing her out the door.
"I can help, Brian." Kira said. Brian hesitated.
"What? How?" Brian asked.
"I'm a Kitsune." Kira said, looking confident.
"I can't risk it, Kira. No way." Brian said, looking at her.
"I'm going to help." Kira said, pulling the door open again.
"Okay. Let's go." Brian said. Kira grabs her sword that she hid under a table. People were fleeing, and it was hard for Allison to aim with everyone running. If she hit someone, we'd lose that arrow.
"Let's get everyone out of here first." I say running to the door.
"Okay." Lydia said, helping me.
"OVER HERE!" I scream, as everyone heads for the light.
"AND HERE!" Lydia screamed. It didn't take long for the people who hadn't been touched by the Oni to get out of here. We still had a few people that were laying on the floor from the Oni's touch but we weren't worried about them.
"Scott, look out." Allison said, letting go of the bow. Scott ducks and it hits the Oni. It starts clawing at it's chest, and then it bursts with a big bolt of yellow light.
"Nice shot, Allison." Lydia said.
"Thank you." Allison said, continuing to fight. Brian was on the other end of the gym with Isaac and Derek, fighting only one Oni. Kira and I were fighting two seperate ones. Scott, Lydia, Stiles, Ethan, and Aiden were in the midst of fighting 3 others. Ariel and Aly were helping those who were paralyzed get out of there. It was a bloody battle. I don't know how I was doing what I was doing, but I just kept at it. I didn't have time to look at the others, I just knew that there were 5 of them left.
"Allison." Brian yelled. As Allsion glanced over, another Oni appeared and pierced him through the stomach. Allison nailed the Oni right in the chest, and it exploded. Ariel screamed, thus the nature of a Banchee.
"NOOOOOOO!" Ariel screamed, tears streaming down her face.
"BRIAN!" I scream, running over to him. It was all starting to happen in slow motion.
"Go fight." Brian said, looking at me.
"No, I'm not leaving." I say, crying.
"You have...to...help." Brian said, gasping for breath.
"I can't. Brian I'm so sorry." I say, still crying. I put my head down and sobbed. Brian, even in his weakest, was able to wipe away the tears that so violently fell from my face.
"Go." Brian said, smiling.
"I'm...not...leaving." I say through my cracked voice.
"I'll...be...here." Brian said quietly. Brian gave me a smile and I got up and ran back to fight. Now that Brian was dying, it made me more angry. The thought of losing him literally made me scream and cry through the rest of the fighting. Allison took down another Oni. The lights were just dim, not completely off. 3 down, 3 to go. As we're all fighting, Allison hits another one, but misses. It comes after her before she could spear it again. We all watched as the sword went through her chest. Ariel screams again, but this time, it wasn't such a blood curdling scream as it was for Brian.
"ALLISON!" Scott said, ready to go over to her. Derek stopped him.
"We have to keep fighting." Derek said, grabbing her bow and arrow. Scott looked at Allison and then to Derek. He walked over to Allison.
"Scott." Allison said, choking on her own blood.
"Don't you dare leave me. Allison. Don't." Scott said, tears streaming down his face.
"I love you, Scott." Allison said.
"I love you too, Allison." Scott said, holding her as she took her last few breaths. He layed her down, and got up.
"PETER!" Scott said, running over to him, but it was too late. Peter had already been pierced in several places including the stomach, chest, back, and leg. Derek didn't notice, but as of right now, we were losing those we loved and it was pushing us to kill them. Derek got another, and another. Soon their was only one left. Even with the rest of us remaining, it was still managing to overpower us. We had one left, but it was moving so much that it made it almost impossible to get it.
As Derek got away from us and stood back, the few of us facing him froze as Derek rose Allison's arrow.
"HEY YOU!" Derek said. The Oni turned to him and disappeared. It reappeared behind him and slashed him with the sword. Derek fell to th ground, but was determined to keep at it. He grabbed the arrow and as the Oni stood above him, ready to stab him, he shoved the arrow into his chest.
We all fell silent. It was finally over. I looked at everyone who was exhausted. It was then that I remembered that we had lost friends just moments ago. Ariel being a Banchee, 2 died so she screamed twice, but where was the third for Brian? Wait, that means he's still with us.
"BRIAN!" I say, running over to him. I knelt beside him as everyone else came over.
