Elle wasn't sure how she made it home but she had. Her legs had found a way to beat her mind and escape her lovers home, well her co-stars home. The entire event moved in a blur, her eyes filling with unwanted tears, mouth closing as if glued shut, time seeming irrelevant in the frenzy of emotions. She could see the brunette, her body chasing after after her, hair blowing as she attempted to stop Elle's fast movements, lips saying things...almost yelling but nothing met her ears.
Her fingers, heart, head, they all shook and pounded. The air in the room had shifted from a warm breeze to a muggy mixture that had stolen the oxygen from her lungs and burned her with a scorching flame from inside out.
Maybe it was Angelina's words or the way her eyes contradicted her clear words, but it all was just too much for one to take.
The youth was sure adrenaline pumped through her veins as her legs ached while running down the stairs and out the home. Like an animal being haunted, she felt the desperate need to escape. To run from the woman that possessed her love, to escape the mess she created. To just find some place that guaranteed home and safety, not just temporary stay.
She caught a cab and made her way home, the suitcases tossed frantically into the back seat of the car as she uncharacteristically shouted at the driver her address.
Now laying in her king sized mattress Elle waited for her eyes to close, despite her bodies refusal to fall asleep after a full day of resting. The tears still poured from her eyes and her loud voice came out strange to her. The blonde had heard herself cry before but this voice must not have been her own. It sounded as if someone was torturing her, as if she had lost a relative or something in her had died.
Elle couldn't be sure of she was in pain or completely numb. Her mind was no longer racing but her body was finally able to tell her how she felt clearly.
She was hurt. She is hurt. Not by Angelina's words but by her lies. Those deep emeralds begged her to stay but when those cold words escaped her full lips, the same flesh she had kissed minutes earlier, it just tore her apart.
"Why can't it be simple? Isn't love supposed to be this kind of feeling that comes unnoticed and ends with a romantic joining of two hearts?" The blonde spoke to herself, the words coming out muffled by her coughing and sniffling.
Her body curled into a ball as her hands wrapped around her knees, seeking the warmth she knew only existed when with Angelina. On this bed she found herself freezing, and despite her comforter and the warm air that circulated around the room the chill wouldn't leave her. But this wasn't the cold brought by winters chill, but an electrifying ice that radiated from the core of her bones and throughout her body. A cold that told her the warmth she wanted would never come. A cold that explained winter was not only a season but the cold that drifts during a heart break.
The chill that reminded her that she needed to come back to reality. That her dream was over.
Soon after the youth was asleep, her body exhausted, eyes red and puffy and her lips not in the best condition either. She moved beneath the fluffy comforter that had soaked up her warm tears, and the pillow that rested her aching head.
The youth knew that she was supposed to head the her concerned parents home later that day but after all that happened that morning, the thought escaped her mind as did everything else.

First she thought she was dreaming and the sound was an accompaniment to all that other sounds that buzzed out any peaceful sleep for her. But as it continued Elle recognized that this sound was a part of reality and not her dream world.
Dragging her body out of bed and tossing the jacket she forgot to take off and her shoes as well, the blonde made her way downstairs, her eyes still swollen and vision lazy. Reaching the front door, Elle peeked through the hole in the front door. When she saw a head of lively blonde hair she smiled to herself.
"I knew she would be the first." She spoke to herself while opening the wooden door.
"Hay Dakota." She spoke, her voice raspy and eyes squinting as the dim evening sun made it's way to greet her. "Sup Elle..." She said, her eyes still on the phone.
"I came to...Holy shit what happened?" Her voice was soft but the surprise was easily heard. The blonde put on her best 'I don't know what you're talking about' face and attempted to smile her older sister's concern away.
"Seriously Elle what happened? It looks like you've been crying all day..."She made her way in, the name brand heels hitting against the carpeted floor. "No like you've been crying for days."
Elle closed the front door and followed her sister into the living room, the older sibling placing her bag onto the side table as her eyes followed the sluggish youth.
"It's nothing. I guess I just have allergies."
"She says in order to cover up the truth." Dakota joked back, her statement true nevertheless."Honestly it's nothing sis." Pulling out two bottles of water from her abandoned fridge, Elle walked back to the living room, handing the other blonde a bottle.
"Do you want me to ask later or just stare you down until you decide to tell the truth?" Dakota smiled, her eyes twinkling in an effort to cheer her gloomy sister up. "I'll tell you later, I'm just really tired right now."
"You look worn." Her lips said before locking around the bottle opening and drinking the crisp water. Elle placed her own on the side table without a mere taste. "I know." The youth laughed softly, running her fingers through the messy strands of golden thread.
"Can you believe I've been sleeping all day?"
"Really? Why are you tired from the flight?"
'And the whole breaking of my heart' Elle thought before actually responding to her sister, watching as she stared her down with wonder and skepticism.
"Yeah!" She attempted to exhibit the traditional 'Elle joy' and add some kick to her comment, which did not work."Damn, I feel like shit Dakota. I feel like actual shit." She slumped back in the seat, knowing well that can(in no way) fool her sister.
Letting her shoulder length blonde hair move behind an ear, the older sister looked at the spitting image of a devastated young woman, actually a heart broken woman(don't ask how she knows, she just does.)
"How about this!" Her legs crossed while she took another sip of her cold water. "We head out tonight, like in an hour or so. I have a get together with my girls at the club and I'm sure it'll help you out...you know cheer you up. If even just a little."
"No, I think I just want to..."
"Come on Elle, we both know you need it. Plus," She rose an arched brow "I'm paying for all the bottles tonight."
This is one of the reasons why Elle adored her sister so much. She just knows how to make her happy and suggest things without forcing her answer. Dakota, unlike her parents, allowed Elle to voice her opinion(whenever they were alone that is.) Having been under her parents "rule" earlier than Elle the older blonde knows very well how overbearing her parents can be.
Already knowing that her sister wouldn't take no for an answer, Elle nodded her head and decided to go get ready. Dakota on the other hand made herself comfortable, changing the location of the get together and texting a few of her friends to make sure they were attending as well.
The moment she entered her sister's BMW Elle regretted it. Although her headache had taken a back seat after she took three tablets of ibuprofen, her heart was still sore and she knew it would be for a while. She was anxious and maybe a room filled with strangers with one thing on their mind was not the best idea.
Biting her tongue, since she did agree to come along, Elle put on her seat belt and sat quietly.
Dakota put on some music as they made their way to the club, in-fact it was all of Elle's favorite songs but the youth wasn't singing along as she usually did. Yeah she was sad and singing wasn't really on the list of things to do while miserable, but truth be told, the blond did not even hear the music. The thoughts swirling in her head were too loud for her to hear anything else.
Her sapphire eyes continued to look ahead as she searched for the club her sister claimed to be taking them too. When they pulled up in the drive way of some massive building with cameras and paparazzi lined outside Elle knew what was really up. Instead of clubbing they were at some hot Hollywood event. Elle turned around to Dakota.
"Really?" She asked.
It wasn't the first time Dakota tricked her into attending a press event or some hot Hollywood party. Everyone in the family knew how much she despised events like this so a majority of the time they had to force her into going.
Apart from her fear of sounding stupid and not mixing well with the older and more infamous crowd of stars, Elle hated the paparazzi and their questions. Not because she doesn't like pictures(she looked beautiful in all of them) but because she knows how easily they can change things with one photograph. She's seen it before. She would be hanging with her friend and all the sudden he's her boyfriend, or she might be out with her sister Dakota and her boyfriend and all the sudden it turns into him cheating on her with Elle. The entire thing is like a fucked up soap-drama and Elle did not like being a part of it.
The older sister gave a 'sorry' face before taking her sisters face into her hands. "Oh come-on Elle. I promise we'll head to the club after the party. I had it scheduled before heading to your place and Jamie's going to be there...he's already waiting for me there. Please it'll just be an hour or so, you won't even notice the time."
Not in the mood to argue or even talk, Elle just agreed and made her way out. Of-course not before Dakota squealed and hugged her tightly, promising her a fun time at the club later(not that she cared.)
The lights from the cameras were becoming even more glaring as the made their way into the elegant and massive building. As promised, or rather told at the last minute, the place was filled with stars and reporters. From starlets to the handsome men, the area smelled like expensive clothing and was filled with clicks of cameras and questions. Elle sneaked through the crowd, smiling for a few cameras with her older sister, and then finally finding a seat across from Jamie.
He smiled at her, his teeth white and suite tailored. He was handsome of-course, I mean being a model comes with the need to make people swoon over you, which he accomplishes on a daily basis.
Saying a meek hello to him, Elle made herself comfortable. She didn't mind when Dakota and her boyfriend left her alone at the table. She simply watched as her sister and Jamie moved around to room having conversations with various people.
A few times Elle saw some familiar faces. From directors she had worked with, to actors and actresses. She even saw a few people she was working with at the moment on the film Maleficent. For example Sam Riley, aka Diaval.
He saw her almost immediately. She watched as he made his way over to her table, a drink in his hand and a huge grin on her face.
"Hay there Elle Fanning." He smiled, hugging her like a long lost friend. "How was Paris?"
She knew he knows nothing about her and Angelina, but when the name passed his lips she felt her heart sink slightly. For a second her smile faltered but she gained it back quickly. "It was lovely actually...H-how are you?" She asked hoping to change the focus from her to him. The last thing she wanted to talk about Paris and remember those memories she's been trying to forget.
"Good. Sorry I couldn't join you and Angelina in Paris, my schedule was packed. I think I saw Sharlto actually... oh and Angelina with her other half."
The ending of his sentence sent chills down her spine. Her pain was, is, still so sore. For goodness sake it was only this morning, the last person she wanted to see was Angelina and her...her husband Brad Pitt.
"No..." She shook her head. 'Goodness, I must sound like such a party pooper' she thought as the man looked at her with questioning eyes that still urged her to come along. "I came with Dakota and I wouldn't want to just disappear."
He looked at the empty table and she followed his dark eyes. Of-course Dakota would be gone at this exact moment.
"I don't think the empty tables going to miss you but if you want to stay I guess..." He raised a joking eyebrow her way and she couldn't help but giggle..
"Yeah I guess my seat wouldn't miss me." Her voice seemed to be returning back to normal although it was still ruff from all the sobbing and crying she did that morning. The blonde found herself so uplifted by the man's careless spirit that she forgot the reason she wanted to stay at her seat.
While following him to his seat Elle's nose caught the faint scent of warm vanilla and cider.
Angelina.
The name came to her mind as if an instant reaction. She knew that scent very well and she also knew who it belonged to. She had dragged her lips against the skin it clung onto. She had pressed herself close to the body the scent radiated from. She had...
Just a few feet away from the table Elle could feel a lump forming in her throat and she felt as if she would throw up if she saw Angelina or those deep mahogany locks. Elle knew very well that she would lose her shit if those emerald eyes looked into her own. She knew those same emotions that twirled in her head earlier that morning would arise youth knew that they would become too much and too strong and that she might cry if she even heard the woman's rich voice...but the last thing she wanted was to cause suspicion and look like a coward who couldn't face reality.
Taking in a deep breath Elle continued to follow her friend as he spoke on about what it was he had been up to while they were in Paris.
Finally reaching the table Elle made sure to not look in the direction of the woman, steering her blue eyes to the man that played her 'father' in the new film.
"Hello Elle, how are you." He smiled, his wife right next to him and smiling as well. She smiled in return, watching as he rose from his seat and hugged her tightly. "Are you having fun tonight?" His wife asked as she hugged and kissed the youths cheek.
"Y-yeah I'm fantastic." She mentally thanked the gods for reminding her to put on concealer cause if she didn't Elle knew her comment would do little to hide the truth.
"Hi Elle. It's nice to see you again." The deep voice spoke and Elle had to mentally prepare herself before facing Angelina's husband. Taking in another breath she smiled and turned to him. "You too."He too hugged her and spoke some more.
Finally the blonde faced the woman she is, was, in love with and in that moment Elle thought she lost all air in her lungs. Angelina looked stunning, literally she looked breath taking. Dressed in a simple black dress that hugged every curve on her body and draped down loosely, the blonde was sure Angelina intended to finish her off completely.
She must love him to dress that sexy. Elle thought, her eyes looking at those lips and everything but those deep emerald eyes.
"You look beautiful Angelina." She finally spoke, not sure if the woman had said anything prior to her comment.
"Doesn't she? I keep trying to figure out how I got so lucky." His voice interrupted her thoughts, and Elle had to try her hardest to not frown. Forcing a smile, she looked at him and then finally at the woman he held onto, his hands wrapped around the waist she was holding just this morning.
"Yes...very lucky." Elle quickly removed her eyes from his hands on Angelina's waist and turned to the woman who looked at her with...worry? Concern? The blonde couldn't figure out what it was that those eyes wanted her to know, and she didn't want to try to figure out.
"Would you like to sit with us?" Sam asked, flashing his white teeth. Again panic rose in Elle's body but she hid it well. "I'm sure you're table wouldn't miss you."
The blonde turned around to see that her table was still empty, Damn it Dakota.
"Are you sure? There doesn't seem to be room." She lied, which was dumb since the table was a big circle laughed light heartedly as did most of the table, excluding Angelina.
"It's no problem dear..." Sharlto's wife spoke. "There is a seat right by Angelina."
Fuck Fuck Fuck! Really? It just happens that the only open seat is next to Angelina?
After internally cursing her life, Elle determined that her professional life was on the hand at the moment and Angelina didn't seem to be having much trouble so she should be fine too.
Taking a seat, Elle made sure she was a little bit away from Angelina, she knew she couldn't move to the other side cause that would just make everything weird but she tried to keep her distance.
For a majority of their dinner Elle was holding onto the side of her chair, nearly clutching for life. With the mixture of food which she ate without thinking much about, and Angelina's scent, along with Brads fucking hands all over her, the youth was sure any moment she would loose her top. And to add onto that Dakota was no where to be found.
Laughing mechanically to whatever Sam was saying Elle reached for the salt which stood at the center of the table. Not aware that Angelina was leaning for the same thing their hands touched, Elle's own sliding over Angelina's. And in that instant the parks rushed through her hands and up her arm.
She froze, thinking about what to do and how she could stop her heart from pumping out of her chest. Concluding that she was most likely going to faint or throw up the food she had eaten the blonde jerked her hand back to her side, looking around and thanking the heavens that no one really noticed, well other than the brunette next to her.
"Excuse me everyone." She coughed a little and made her way from her seat, almost sprinting to the bathrooms.
Once inside the large bathroom Elle first thought she was in someone's lavish home but of-course the toilet and sink reminded her otherwise. Running into a large stall the blonde slumped onto the covered seat, her hands clutched onto her knees as she hunched her body over. She breathed in heavily, her chest heaving up and down, her head growing dizzy. Elle could feel her palms sweating and body was shaking.
The youth had no idea how much Angelina could do to her, how those memories of them together only tortured her whenever the beauty was around. Elle wasn't sure how heavy her breathing was but she did not hear another person come in. Only when her stall swung open did she realize that someone else was around.
"Breathe...Breathe honey. That's it." The voice came into her ear as if the person was miles away but when arms wrapped around her body Elle was sure this woman was close, closer than anyone else.
"Slow and steady." She followed the directions spoken in a deep and rich voice, allowing her head to bury in the woman sleeve, the black color hiding the tears that began to sprinkle from her eyes. It took a while but with a soothing voice and hands that moved up and down her back, along with the rich scent of Vanilla and...and cider.
Elle immediately moved her head from the woman's shoulder, her arms wrapping around herself as those oceanic eyes slowly moved up the slim silhouette. Waves of rich mahogany framing her long neck that was adorned with a simple diamond necklace.
God please no don't tell me it's who I think it is.
She looked up a perfectly sculpted face and could feel her heart beat continue to increase. When her eyes lingered on full plum tinted lips Elle knew that she was a goner.
"Angelina...what are you doing here." Her eyes refused to meet those forest greens.
"I was worried about you when you ran from the table."
"We'll I'm fine." She lied again. The blonde was sure glad that she had adapted the ability to hide her emotions early on. It might seem like a bad thing but learning how to hide her emotions or control them really comes in handy.
"No your not! You were just hyperventilating for goodness sake..." Angelina spoke, her voice gentle but stern. She moved her hands around the youths face and found them being pushed away. She desperately tried again, her hands wrapping around Elle's own but soon pulled away.
"Elle, please look at me." She begged, the girl's cold behavior breaking her heart even more than it already was.
The blonde wanted to yell or scream 'no' but instead she looked at her co-star head on, their eyes clicking together like magnets, the under wave of emotion creating intense tension in the stall. Looking down at the older woman Elle waited for her to say what she wanted.
"You know I did it for both of us..."
"Don't Angelina. Don't you dare say that." Elle whispered, moving closer so that the brunette could hear the venom in her hushed words. "When I said 'I love you,' I wasn't joking. I've loved you since the day we first met and you hugged me. So don't you dare take my emotions for a joke."
"I don't Elle." The older woman whispered back, her voice laced with nothing but defeat and slight hope. Hope for what? Both women had no idea but hope nevertheless.
"Then stop trying to justify your reason for breaking my heart as a way to protect us. Tell me you don't fucking love me and..." She turned her face away for a moment, blowing out the frustration that threatened to bring tears to her eyes again. "And leave me alone."
She looked at Angelina's beautiful face as it turned into something of a mournful expression.
"Elle..." She begged, holding onto the youths hands. The same hands that touched every part of her. "I love you and that's why I did it. I had to let go...to protect you."
The way her sapphire eyes chilled to the color of winters crystals made Angelina's heart pound, she had never seen the expression on the youths face and as frightening as it was, she was attracted to the girl even more. Maybe it was some twisted way her body decided to betray her but the brunette could feel the familiar heat run through her body.
"I don't need your protection."
As Elle attempted to rise from the toilet seat Angelina towered over her, and of all the things Elle could have predicted the woman to do, she did the complete opposite.
Angelina kissed her. Her lips, full and sweet, pressed against Elle's. They were both caught in an aggressive kind of contact that not only took away her breath but all focus. Both women carried on the heated kiss, the kind of kiss that causes a girl to lose her balance. In a swift movement her hands snaked around the blondes slim waist, holding her close while pinning her against the stall wall.
The action was so quick that Elle didn't have time to think it over but her body did. Her hands wrapped around the brunette's waist and pulled their figures closer. At the same time her tongue sought out the taste she so desperately craved. Angelina. She wanted the woman so bad that it did more than hurt, it tortured her. The lack of contact, the view of Angelina wrapped in Brads hold, her scent, it all was a very slow torture that Elle knew she couldn't escape.
Nevertheless her reaction pissed her off, after all that crying in the morning, the anxiety, anger, and goddamn frustration, the youth did not want to submit so easily.
Moving closer Elle fought for control, something Angelina easily gave to her during their previous encounters, but now, in this stall, the brunette was doing everything but submitting. She slipped her hands through gold strands and pulled the hair suddenly. Elle gasped at the action and as her mouth opened Angelina slithered her tongue into the sweet mouth, licking along the blondes tongue while drinking down her heat, the taste of champagne still on her pink tongue.
Elle could almost taste the primal intent the older woman had for her. Angelina was no longer uncertain but determined to prove something or rather posses every bit of the alluring beauty. Elle tried to gain the upper hand but her legs were buckling and her skin was tingling with need. She grew more frustrated as a moan escaped her throat and her hands traveled to Angelina's soft bottom.
"You think you can handle this?" The husky voice asked in a low growl. "...mmmph" She moaned as those long fingers traveled up her shirt, leaving trails of heat as Angelina's manicured nails pressed against her milky flesh.
"Huh? Do you think you can take all of this?" Her lips bit the girl's neck as her ears listened to the blondes heavy breathing and low moans. "Are you willing Elle?"
Her green eyes looked into deep pools that swirled with lust and every other emotion.
Elle used her hands to bring the woman's beautiful face to her own and passionately envelope the older woman in a fierce kiss. Ravishing the brunettes exquisite mouth while pressing their bodies against one another, Elle allowed her frustration to manifest. The kiss was filled with anger, frustration, and a thick desire for the other woman.
Angelina did not know the extent of her lovers emotions until she felt the sting of the blondes teeth against her lips, biting and sucking. Her lips were bruised and battered as the youth continued to kiss her. As if Elle had given up on speaking and decided to display her emotions, the blonde painted Angelina's mouth with her scent and flavor.
With hands clawing at her black dress, lips and tongue taking her breath away, it all was slipping from reality and as Angelina felt the heat become unbearable, Elle pulled away.
Emeralds followed as the youth gently pushed her closer and licked her lips.
"You said you wanted me out of your life." Elle spoke, her voice low with a mixture of heavy lust and anger. Her fingers slipped up the black dress, fingertips gently caressing Angelina's smooth thigh.
"So..." Elle moved closer, turning around and pressing Angelina against the stall wall. Allowing her hands to move under the tall brunette's thigh and moving it around her hip Elle allowed her eyes to read the woman's face. Those deep eyes filled with yearning.
Angelina moved her fingers over Elle's neck and down her shoulder. "Do you think you can take all of this?"
"..."
The silence was enough for Elle, even if it lasted for mere seconds. She kissed the brunette again, her lips pressing against Angelina's with more frustration and a tinge of sadness. The older woman moaned as Elle's tongue invaded her mouth and those white teeth bit down on her lips harshly.
After another few minutes Elle was out of the bathroom, leaving the super star against the wall, gasping for air.
