Cyber DxD
Issei was walking through the forest that surrounded Kuoh, he was trying to find the perfect spot to set up to watch over the abandoned church for any signs of fallen angels. The day before Issei had told Rias how many times he's been attacked by fallen angels and again how many times he'd won but two nights ago, they'd finally broken Issei's temper.
Two days ago….
"Issei? Could you do a favour for me?" Rias asked while looking through a stack of papers.
"Yeah, sure, what you need prez?" Issei replied standing up from the book he was reading, in his mind however he was currently getting a huge scolding from Eve for his initial thought of 'can't I just do you and save having to use that favour'. Completely ignorant to the shouting match going on inside Issei's head Rias stood up and handed Issei the specifics from the request.
"Koneko is double booked again, so could you take this one in her place?" Rias asked, inside Issei's head he'd managed to get Eve to go back to reading through reddit for wtf stories.
"Sure thing boss." Issei spoke, reading the sheet on his way out. Over the past week he's been learning to use portals same as the rest of the ORC. His however was different, since he was a member of Serafall's peerage as well, he had a choice over which magic circle to use, but since he was on Rias's business he was using the Gremory circle.
Issei stepped out of the circle on the other end to find a house in complete darkness, checking to see if it was the right address Issei noticed a dim glow from the living room window, and after finding that he was at the right place he approached the door to knock. As he knocked however the door slid open as if it hadn't even been closed properly to begin with. Feeling something was up Issei cautiously moved into the house ready to materialise his Glock if he needed it.
As he approached the living room and the only room with light in, Issei noticed a liquid on the ground, bending over to see what it was, he could immediately tell it was blood.
"Fuck, eve let rias know the client might be dead, tell her what we've found." Issei commanded forming his Glock and cocking it to fire.
Issei peered into the living room but couldn't see anyone, well anyone alive that is. On the far wall was a man cut into 6 pieces, with his head, torso, arms, and legs all separated and nailed upside down in a cross shape. 'That's fucking disgusting' Issei thought as he slid the door open and slipped through the gap. Issei was investigating the scene when he picked up something moving behind him.
"Punish the wicked, wise words to follow. This sinner forgot that, and now he's dead." Issei looked to find a man of his age, with white hair and a priest's over coat.
"Did you do this?" Issei asked coldly bringing his gun up at the priest.
"Of course I did, it's my job after all, and if you're going to shoot me I seriously hope you're quick devil boy." The priest spoke calmly before charging Issei with a light sword that had seemingly appeared from nowhere. Issei forged his signature blade and brought it up to block the priest.
"Ooh, another cyber knight, I haven't killed one since I escaped from Italy." The priest sounded so excited to be fighting Issei, and from how fast he brought that blade out, he must be the same as Issei.
"No way, I thought I was the only one" Issei spoke after pushing the priest back 'way to sound cliché Issei' Eve spoke from the back of his mind. The priest smiled and began to tell Issei the truth.
"Every UN country has the cyber knight program, I'm the Italian number 2 after killing the number 1 and breaking out of the base, I became an exorcist for the church, to kill lowly little scum like you. Freed Sellzen at your service, and I'm here to kill you tonight." Freed then launched at Issei with his blade drawn but stopped as a nun got in the way.
"Father Freed, I beg you, spare this man's life, he may have darkness but I'm sure he can find his way to the light again." The nun spoke. Issei was confused at the whole situation, the nun sounded young, maybe a year or two younger than him.
"This is what we do Asia, we kill devils and those who worship them." The priest seemed distracted, now was Issei's chance. He quickly shot up, fired a couple of shots to scatter the nun and Isolate Freed. He then went for a strike with his sword, missing freed by millimetres. Eve warned Issei of the light sword coming from Freed, Issei dissolved the Glock and reformed another sword to block within a fraction of a second. Issei landed on the other side of the room where he had a good angle on the nun, who had tears flowing down her face, Issei could tell she was completely innocent in this whole thing.
Turning his attention back to Freed he noticed that the priest was nowhere to be seen. 'Issei your left' Issei swing his body around thanks to Eves warning catching the priest off guard but what he wasn't expecting was Freed to bluff being caught and draw a light pistol from his coat. And fire a shot right through Issei's right shoulder. 'Deploying medical nanites to seal off the hole' Eve did her best to keep Issei in the fight, but after losing full movement in one of his arms it was going to be tricky. Just then a red circle appeared on the floor and out rushed Kiba flanking the priest and putting him on the ground. Kiba was followed by Akeno and Koneko and finally Rias herself stepped out of the circle.
Freed had turned his attention to the nun and started hitting her, "You fucking Idiot, I told you to form the barrier, do you realise how pissed the fallen angels are going to be at this!"
Koneko just looked up sensing something in the distance. "Fallen angels are on their way." She turned to Rias who was already helping Issei to his feet.
"Akeno." Rias commanded, as soon as she said that Akeno had a magic circle ready to go.
Present day…
Issei had finally set himself up on a tree overlooking the church, he forged a sniper rifle and started watching through the scope. Looking through the scope he could see into the church itself through the stained glass window at the front. He could see the two previous fallen angels to attack him, as well as two he hadn't seen before, one looked in her early twenties with long black hair and what looked to him like an S&M suit. The other looked like the youngest in the group she didn't look like she was very far into her teens, with blond hair and a long black and white dress. He could also see Freed as well as a number of other exorcists. Finally he noticed the nun from the other night, Asia, she was sitting on her own drinking a cup of tea not being involved with the fallen angels and the exorcist guards.
Issei contacted Rias, confirming her suspicions about the fallen angels being based up at the old church but told Issei to wait while they came to meet him.
An hour passed while Issei sat and waited for the rest of the ORC to get there, when they arrived Rias began explaining the plan.
"Ok, Issei, you, Kiba and Koneko go in first and clear the main hall, myself and Akeno will put up a barrier preventing them from escaping and keeping anyone who happens to pass by from noticing what's going on. From what Issei has said there's a chamber below the altar, but from there we don't know what's going on but I think Issei has an Idea to get down there but he'll explain when we get to that." Rias set out the plan, she didn't want her servants to be at risk from these fallen angels invading her territory.
Issei, Koneko and Kiba moved to the entrance, Issei had forged an AUG A3 Assault rifle and formed his old uniform from his time spent at the base. He planted a small canister that he materialised on the door and signalled for Kiba and Koneko to pull back. 5 seconds went by then a huge explosion shook the ground and blew the doors and part of the wall away, Issei rushed in aiming down the sights and killed 5 Exorcists that were still recovering from the explosion. After the dust settled a familiar figure stepped out from behind one of the still standing pillars.
"Well, well, well. It seems the shitty devil cyber knight has shown his face, oh and he brought friends. Wonderful, I can now kill all of you." Freed laughed as he readied his sword. Issei looked at Rias who'd just entered the church after forming the barrier she nodded her head answering his silent question.
"Promotion, knight." Issei could feel the pieces responding to his command he felt lighter, he could notice more, he took a last look at Freed before forging a sword and charging. He and Freed were moving faster than the rest of the ORC could track. Sparks appeared seemingly out of nowhere but everyone knew it was where Freed and Issei were clashing. Rias jumped as sparks appeared next to her head before watching as Issei and Freed reappeared in front of them.
"Your target is me Freed, or did they forget to teach you priorities in Italy." Issei taunted pointing his sword at Freed. Before he could respond Freed was struck by statue that Koneko had thrown, the force threw him out of the stained glass window.
The group moved up to the altar and Issei began setting up another charge on the floor.
"The chamber is just under here, there's a small corridor with exorcists waiting right below this charge, so on three." Issei moved to a safe distance as did the rest of the ORC "ONE!.. TWO!.. THREE!" BOOM! Once more dust and debris were thrown into the air as Issei rushed forward dropped down into the hole and swiftly killed the exorcists waiting for them.
The rest of the ORC followed after Issei's lead running down a long corridor to get to the secondary chamber. 'Ok, ten down, about fifteen more to go' Issei thought remembering the number of exorcists he'd scouted about an hour earlier. The group entered the secondary hall and saw the remaining exorcists, the fallen angels and Asia who was currently chained to a glowing cross.
The fallen angel he'd seen earlier with the black hair and S&M preferences now ordered the remaining exorcists to attack. Akeno, Kiba and Koneko began to deal with the exorcists while Issei and Rias began engaging the fallen angels.
"Mittelt, Kalawarner, Dohnaseek, take care of the pure blood, I'll handle this pain in the ass." Raynare commanded the others while she attacked Issei.
Even with Issei's speed he was still struggling with Raynare, but he wasn't being outclassed by her either. The two had begun to fight like fire and ice, the winner was going to be the one who didn't make the first mistake.
Raynare broke off for a second to regain some momentum, Issei took this chance to check on how the others were doing. Akeno, Kiba and Koneko had finished off the last of the exorcists and had begun attacking the fallen angels. Rias had killed Dohnaseek while he was charging a light spear, and since he couldn't block with his other arm (thanks to Issei) Rias's destruction magic obliterated him.
Issei had become fed up with the fight against Raynare, he finally turned on his target prediction chip that allowed him to follow what his target was doing and with this he could easily kill before they correct their mistake. Raynare charged a light spear and threw it at Issei, as she did, Issei summoned his sacred gear and formed a ball of destructive magic in his hand. Just as the spear was about to hit him, Issei let his feet drop out from under him, he dropped to the floor and fired the ball at Raynare.
The shot hit her but only injured her, she looked at Issei knowing she'd been beaten and that's when she turned on the unconscious Asia. She summoned a light spear and threw it directly at the unconscious nun. The sound of the spear imbedding itself into Asia's body was sickening. Completely mortified at the act Issei pulled the fallen angel to her knees and forged his Glock. Pointing it straight at her face Issei looked as he was performing an execution.
"Unlike Asia who had the bliss of not seeing her death coming, you won't be so lucky." Issei's cold voice stunned most of the ORC who had finished off Raynare's only allies. Akeno on the other hand was wearing a turned on smile on her face, the fact that Issei could be so cold, so brutal, it really got her going. "Any last words?" Issei asked Raynare.
"Please don't do this…" the fallen angel had masked her usual self and had taken the form of a girl Issei's age. "Please, I didn't want any of this, I'm being forced to by another fallen angel, if I didn't attack you and kill Asia I'd have been the one to die." She pleaded with Issei but it fell on deaf ears.
BANG. The sound of the gunshot and the sounding of the casing hitting the floor next to it was the signal of Raynare's death the boosted gear then died off and Issei rushed to see if Asia could still be saved.
Rias walked up to Issei and Asia, watching as Issei checked all over for a pulse or a vital, something to say Asia was still alive, even if he had just killed a fallen angel pleading for her life in cold blood, Issei made sure to protect the innocent parties when he could.
"Unfortunately, she's gone Issei, but I can bring her back… as one of us." Rias rested her hand on Issei's shoulder in an attempt to comfort him.
"She wasn't part of any of this, she shouldn't have even been here." Issei said his voice full of regret for not being able to act sooner.
Rias and Issei lifted Asia's body off the cross and placed a bishop piece onto her chest. Rias then surrounded her and Asia with a magic circle and began to cast a spell.
"I command you in the name of the 4 great devil kings and the house of Gremory, return to this world, and live for my sake. Rejoice for you have been given a new life." Rias chanted as the magic circle grew brighter and then faded. Issei watched as the bishop piece sank into Asia's chest and her eyes flickered open.
Ok, Ok I know it's been a while since I uploaded anything, but over the past month college and work have been piling on work that I just couldn't really cope with (well if I was to continue doing this alongside them) but I've now finished college and that means I'll be doing a lot more of these. But anyway, how did this one go, it's been a while since I wrote like this so I may not be completely up to speed yet. Leave a review and try to be constructive, flames will be laughed at and ignored. Going to try doing a weekly update, but don't hold me to that since writers block can strike at any time. Anyway I'll see you all next time but a massive shout out to Sil3ntSilus, who's helped me get some Ideas and who's pretty much given me the motivation to continue, cheers mate.
