Hey everyone, happy Friday and time for an update. To XShinuKikinX, I kept my promise since I started posting this story and I updated again so don't fret. Chapter 23: Abomination

Ross waited outside the laboratory as night has fallen. Red and blue lights flashed to cast long shadows as he watched his soldiers file out. And between them was the Ninja being escorted out with their hands cuffed behind their backs for their arrest with the Hulk. Even the boy in green was handcuffed for being an accomplice from sabotaging the base. The general watched them being escorted up to his helicarrier's ramp and turned his head to see the Hulk strapped to a gurney with his wrists cuffed together by reinforced metal and an ice-pack over his temples from the concussion he received from Blolasky and stopped beside him. "If you took it from me, I will put you and your friends away for life." he threatened. Cole glared at him as he was wheeled away to the carrier.

Ross huffed and turned his head to see his daughter storming out with her coat over her shoulders like a blanket and placed a comforting hand on her. Betty glared up at her father and jerked herself away from him. "I will never forgive you." she hissed through her teeth and walked down the stairs to join with the others.

"Betty, he's a criminal." he said while following her halfway.

The raven-haired girl turned on her heels. "Because you made him one." she argued. "You made him one to cover up your mistakes to keep your career from falling and to what. Nothing." Ross was stunned by her words. "Don't ever speak to me as your daughter ever again." she said and walked onto the ramp and sat down on the mesh seating across from Cole.

Ross sighed as he may have lost his daughter's love forever. He understood what he may have done, but he didn't know what to do. He sighed again and walked down the final steps of the entrance and onto the helicarrier with the ramp rising behind him and took a seat near the pilots. And the rotors whined as the transporter took flight.

"So you're saying that you can make more of him?" Haruko interrogated Sterns.

"Well maybe I can or can't." Sterns exclaimed. He sat nervously in his seat as the captain was hovering over him and uneasily leaned his arm on a table. "His blood is unstable and there's a possible chance or not I can. I just can't make the same... Humpty Dumpty without having problems."

"And yet, you alone can crea-" Haruko suddenly became quiet as something struck her head and fell to unconsciousness.

Blolasky walked over the unconscious captain and looked at the startled scientist with a small smirk. "She's really annoying isn't she?" he asked with his still smug grin.

"Why are you always hitting people!?" Sterns exclaimed, puzzled. Blolasky scowled at him and quickly drew his sidearm out with a quick hand and aimed it straight at the scientist's head, between his eyes. Sterns felt his heart stop as he stared straight into the barrel of the loaded weapon and gulped. "N-Now let's not get into extreme situations and I don't know why I'm involved with this." he said, scared.

"You have the Hulk's powers within your reach and I want it now." he demanded and lowered his gun down.

Sterns looked at him weirdly on his demand. "I don't understand what you mea-" he paused. He looked into the blazing blue eyes and could see through the collar of his uniform to see an enlarge vertebrae jutting underneath his skin. He then saw why he needed Cole's powers. "You...look like you got something inside you." he acknowledged. Blolasky kept burning through him as he placed his gun away. "I...I don't know what the consequences could be, but the effects may be an... Abomination." Blolasky growled and grabbed the front of Stern's shirt with one hand and lifted high while he grabbed his hand to pry it away. "But but, I didn't mean that I wasn't going to do it. I will."

Blolasky smirked to his decision. Perfect. he thought.

Everyone sat in silence in the helicarrier as it flew across Ninjago City. Betty looked around to see all the ninjas but Cole had their cuffs off by Cole's demands since he was captured. All were silent to talk and had no idea what was going to happen to him now. The youngest scientist lifted her head towards Cole while his was down to hear him sigh. She felt worried for him playfully touched her feet with his to see him smile.

Cole lifted his head to smile for her and playfully played back to cheer her up. He felt safe with her now. But was worried on what may happen to him. What could happen to his family. His father even. All the possibilities seemed endless for the earth ninja to bear.

Sterns finished strapping the lieutenant to the chair Cole was on and slipped the needles into his arms. He walked over to his computer to press a few keys and watched Cole's blood being injected into Blolasky's veins. And he was scared while he remained calm and relaxed as a green light buzzed over his eyes to pulse gamma rays to see him and shake and roar.

It has happened.

The scientist watched in horror as his body was growing and turning a pale yellowish color and broke free from his restraints. He saw his combat boots snap in half by his large feet and bone stakes expand to an angle from his ankles and looked up in horror. "Now this is what I was afraid of." he said, scared. He could see his body grow large with his ribs jutting out and more bone stakes expand from his elbows and kept growing, two times more than Cole's Hulk form. "But I'm still running a few tests so if you kindly get back on the chair." he continued, voice cracking as he watched his hair fall to become bald and green while his spine hunched while standing straight and the vertebrae actually showing.

Blolasky, or Abomination, chuckled deeply. "Never." he said deeply in his new voice and swung his arm at Sterns. Pain shot through his body against the machines and laid in a heap on the floor. He watched his creation of destruction walk away while feeling his blood drip down his open wound and heard soldiers shout while firing and blacked out.

Zachary Chan, or Zach he preferred, patrolled around the building with his partner, Howard Barns, by his side. Both suddenly heard something shout and broke out of a window as a metal table was thrown at it and watched something burst out. Chan and Barns looked at each other and quickly ran up to the end of the alley and stopped as a flaming car was thrown across them and heard people screaming. They turned to the left to see the streets with citizens fleeing with a car thrown and heard something shout. "What in the world was that?" Chan exclaimed.

"I don't know but we have to inform the general." Barns said and looked at police officer running up to know the trouble and saw a jeep nearby. "Alright you drive and follow after that thing." he commanded and the officer nodded and ran into the driver's seat while the soldiers climbed onto the flatbed of the vehicle. The officer quickly put the vehicle in reverse to back out of the alley and started chasing after the destruction while Chan grabbed his radio.

"Sir," Bishop said. ""You want to hear this."

Ross looked at his warrant officer and walked over to grab the phone and placed the receiver to his ear. What was it now? "This is Ross." he said. "Go on."

"The Hulk is in the street!" Chan's voice boomed. "I repeat! The Hulk is in the street!"

Ross furrowed his brows and looked over his shoulders to see Cole with them. That can't be right. The Hulk was with them. He noticed Cole was staring back at him wondering and turned back. "That's impossible." he said. "Calm down, son. What's your location?"

"North Avenue heading East Ninjago City!" Chan shouted.

Ross leaned to the pilots and whirled his finger. "Get us to east." he commanded. The pilots nodded and leaned their throttle sticks to turn the carrier.

Cole felt the carrier tilting and planted his feet still to keep himself balanced from slipping and felt it become leveled. He looked at Betty confused as well as she did. He noticed everyone else was giving each other looks. "We're going back." he acknowledged. "What's going on?"

"Give me visual." Ross barked.

The general watched a small monitor mounted on the metal wall and saw flames being spread from Chan's helmet cam. He could see, in his soldier's view, him and Barns racing down the streets on the back of a jeep and could see destruction along the way. Then he saw something large in his view and disappeared. "What in Ninjago is that thing!?" Barns shouted. Ross watched the camera turn left on a street and then a right and saw the Hulk ahead of them. But the Hulk was with him though. Not on the ground. Who was it?

Cole peered through Ross' arms and saw something causing destruction. "What the?" he wondered. He then heard it roar in anger. He peered closely and saw it was something large as his Hulk form and gasped. "No!" he gasped and quickly rushed over to the monitor while some soldiers grabbed him and he pushed his way through to be next to Ross with Betty beside him. And the others were starting to catch glimpses of it. The earth ninja peered closely to see another Hulk that was different and thought it over. He then realized who it was. "One of yours?" he inquired.

Betty peered closely to see the monster cause destruction in its path and gasped to who it was. If Cole had Nanomeds in his body and blood, so would her teacher if he could change somehow without having being exposed to gamma radiation. Blolasky was this new Hulk or Abomination. She looked up to her father with a scared look. "Oh my gawd." she gasped in a whisper. "What have you done?"

The general looked away from them to watch everything unfold on the streets. Everyone watched the jeep stop by a blockage of traffic of abandon cars and heard gunshots fired as the police were attempting to stop Blolasky. The bullets had no effect on the lieutenant and he simply swatted them away like they were bugs. "You think bullets are gonna work on him?" Barns shouted. "We need heavy weaponry!" The camera view shifted around a trunk behind them and unlocked it to show a Special Forces customed RPG, rocket launcher, with firepower to be able to stop a tank. The soldiers saw this as a chance.

"Sweet." Chan said and moved aside as Barns mounted the weapons over his shoulder.

"Boo-yah!" Barns shouted and pulled the trigger.

A trail of smoke sailed through the air as the projectile whizzed towards the second Hulk to inflict harm on him as his back was turned. But Blolasky quickly turned around and caught the fired projectile and slammed it against his chest to destroy it. But it didn't even inflict harm to him as he stood tall with flames flickering off his body. He just chuckled at them. All three were stunned to move that their plan failed to stop him and were out of ideas.

Blolasky slowly started walking towards them and then started jogging. Chan saw what he was doing. "Reverse! Reverse!' he shouted at the officer. The officer quickly shifted the jeep into reverse without hesitation and slammed his foot on the accelerator and the engine roared and drove back. Barns and Chan watched the thing barrel through the parked cars like they were nothing. They both felt their bodies jerk as they must've bumped into something and heard the sound of metal scraping harshly. They looked to the source and saw sparks flying and their speed reducing; lost a tire. And Blolasky was gaining closer to them.

The two soldiers fell back as the vehicle must've collided into another one and were now stuck. And Blolasky jumped through the spray of a broken fire hydrant to be in front of the jeep. He saw a taxi cab weave through the traffic and heading towards while tires screeched to stop and the lieutenant stomped on the hood to flip the vehicle above him and caught it. The soldiers and officer were petrified to move now. "Give me a real fight!" he shouted deeply and brought the car down on the jeep.

Cole stood there as static filled the tiny screen of the connection. He couldn't believe it. Another Hulk. One too powerful to fight alone for them. But unless there was another one. He may have been cured, but Sterns said that the radiation may be isolated and not gone. He had one chance to stop Blolasky. "It has to be me." he spoke up and caused everyone to look at him. "I'm the only one that can stop him."

Ross looked at him concerned on his idea and didn't know to whether or not trust him. His plan sounded ludicrous to stop his lieutenant. "And what if you can't?" he sneered.

Cole turned his amber eyes towards the general, unsure. What if he can't and Blolasky wins? Who will stop him then? His family? Blolasky will kill them in one swing. They could be out of options, but this could be the only one. Hulk versus Hulk. Or Hulk versus Abomination. "We created this thing together and I can stop him alone." he stated. "I can distract him and you bring in the firepower. I can do it. You have to trust me."

The general could see the determination in his eyes and sighed. He had to trust him and work together as a team. That made him nauseous to think that through his head. "Fly us to the park and land..." he ordered to the pilots. He received a nod and felt the carrier tilt slightly.

*"No, just open the ramp." Cole interjected. "I'll change and fight him from above." Ross thought it over and nodded and pressed a button. The earth ninja felt a cool breeze brush through his hair and all turned to see the ramp being lowered to cause everyone's hair to topple around. He looked at it without thinking twice and slowly started walking to the end.

Betty stood still in worry and could feel stray tears running down her cheeks. She was worried for Cole. The boy admitted his love to her and was worried on what could happen to him below. But what if he couldn't change? He can die from the fall. That made her more scared. "Cole!" she screamed and ran up to him on the ramp. Cole stopped at the ledge and turned to her. "What if you can't change? You can get killed. What if..." she paused and couldn't think of anything worse.

Cole could see the glint of fear and tears in her eyes and understood her. "Betty, I have to try." he said. "I don't know what could happen, but I'm willingly to take a chance. To protect you and everyone in Ninjago from him."

Betty kept feeling tears flowing down her cheeks and grabbed Cole's head to bring him closer and pressed her lips against his. Cole knew it was the kiss and brought it back and both brought passion to it. And the earth ninja can feel his heart rate rise up. Good, it'll help him. The raven-haired girl kept kissing the Ninja of Earth until she felt his lips slip off of hers and watched him fall back. She gasped and watched him from the ledge.

Cole could feel gravity take hold as he fell back to the earth. Like the first time he jumped off the Bounty with his golden scythe. Love the smell of earth hurling towards you in the middle of the night. The earth ninja had his eyes squeezed tightly shut as he concentrated to unlock his potential as the Hulk. But he suddenly opened them as something was wrong. He couldn't change. Oh crap! he mouthed to himself as he watched the sky become farther away as he saw his world turn black as he collided with the asphalt.

Betty gasped without screaming as it didn't work. "Get her inside!" Ross barked. Two soldiers walked up to her and gently escorted her in while the ramp was closing. The Ninja saw her expression with their jaws dropping on Cole's plan. He made the biggest mistake of his life.

Back on the ground, citizens screamed while fires blazed as they ran past a crater. They didn't bother checking as they were still running from whatever was in the center of the street. But something tumbled the rubble underneath. Something was alive. Suddenly a massive dark green hand sprouted out and clenched into a fist with the knuckles crackling and growled.

"Betty, look." Ross said as he peered through the window.

Betty and the Ninja peered through the port windows to see what the general was pointing out and gasped to what they saw. Cole was alive and he changed. The cure didn't work after all. All felt proud that Cole was alive but were now worried for him as it was now the final fight to see who will stand alone.

Hulk or Abomination?

Who will win?

Honestly I'm sure you all know what I'm of what you're thinking, and yes another cliffhanger. Man I love doing that. And of course I'll update as usual. And I also like to point out that I may have written it, it's still based from a the two movies but I'm doing a remake with Cole as the Hulk and how everyone is part of it. Hope you see what I'm seeing this. Anyway, have a good weekend and I'll see you all next week. :)
