Chapter 13 ~ Nat's POV:

I smile a bit as Lucas turns to me with wide eyes as he just realizes that the people we will be eating breakfast with are the heroes he always looked up to. I chuckle and take his hand as Clint lifts Aliyah into his arms carrying her to the bar that has been set up for a buffet style breakfast. I smile slightly at everyone as we pass them at the table and hand Lucas a plate so he can carry it.

"Mrs. Romanoff, what did you say the children's names are?" Pepper Potts, new CEO of Stark Industries and Stark's girlfriend, asks me as she sits at the table with her own plate of food.

I turn to look at her and notice that the others at the table are looking at me for an answer as well. "Lucas and Aliyah."

"And how old are they?" Bruce asks after taking a sip of his coffee and looks at the kids with a smile.

"They just turned five on August 31." Clint answers for me as I get Lucas a pancake and a piece of bacon with some fruit.

I fix the rest of my plate and lead Lucas to the table where he crawls in the seat by Aliyah. I kiss his hair and go get their drinks as Clint gets both of us some coffee. I come back to sit by Aliyah and Clint sits by Lucas starting to eat with the rest of the group.

"Wow, they both look just like you two…" Pepper says shaking her head and smiles.

"Oh they are just like us too." I say and smile softly looking at them as they eat quietly knowing they are nervous around these people they don't know.

I turn to look at Aliyah as she tugs on my arm and leans up to whisper in my ear. "Мама, кто она?" (Mommy, who is she?)

"Она подруга г-Старка и хороший друг." (She is Mr. Stark's girlfriend and a good friend.) I tell her and Clint looks at me knowing that the kids need to warm up to them somehow.

"Hey, Lucas, why don't you ask Mr. Rogers over there to see his shield." Clint looks at our son and then at Steve who smiles a bit.

"I'd love to show you but please call me Steve." He says and Lucas smiles a bit.

I smile and Clint winks at me nodding to Aliyah. "And you, princess would like that too, huh?"

Aliyah nods and continues to eat quietly still acting very shy which is quite strange for her. I stroke her hair and she leans into me gently crawling in my lap.

"What's wrong, princess?" I whisper in Russian and hold her gently kissing her curls.

"I want to go home, Мама…" She says quietly and I sigh rubbing her back gently.

"I know you do, baby girl and we will very soon." I tell her and Clint moves into her seat to pull her into his arms hugging her tight.

"Hey, tell me what's up." He whispers in Russian and she looks at him frowning with sad eyes.

"I want to go home…" She says and Clint kisses her forehead as she starts to cry softly on his shoulder.

Clint stands with her and carries her out with Lucas behind him knowing they need to all have a talk with each other.

"I'm sorry about that. She is very close to Clint and these past few weeks have been rough for the two of them and not being at home makes it worse." I say and sight sipping my coffee.

"Oh it's understandable." Pepper says and smiles a bit. "What do they like to do? Maybe I can get them something to do to help them adjust a bit better."

"Oh you don't have to do that, Pepper." I tell her and get up to grab some more fruit.

"But I want to." She says and nods.

"Well, Aliyah loves to read, draw and loves to play with her brother. Lucas, much like Clint loves archery and climbing things. They are the children of spies of course." I snort and sit back down.

"Oh I'm sure they get in plenty of trouble." Stark grins and looks at me placing his phone down.

"They must be such fun." Thor says in his deep voice turning his head along with everyone else as the elevator doors open to no one inside.

I rise a brow and immediately know that my husband and children are up to something. I quickly scan the room taking notice of the three air vents that are just large enough for a grown person to fit in and see a cover come off one right above Stark's head. I lean on my elbow and cover my mouth subtly to hide my smirk as Clint and Lucas hold a bucket of water above the genius's head.

I see Clint's grin spread even wider and Aliyah bounds in the room keeping everyone's attention on the other end of the room. I smile at her and get up to avoid getting wet any moment. I turn just in time to see the boys spill the water on Stark's head and everyone turns to look at him wide eyed. Clint, Lucas and Aliyah start laughing as Stark stands quickly looking up at them in the vent.

"How did you get up there, Legolas?" Stark demands and the others around the table start laughing.

"Oh that part was easy and don't call me that." Clint says and shifts around to lower himself out of the vent then turns to reach up to Lucas. "Come on, buddy."

Lucas jumps out of the vent and everyone gasps softly but Clint catches him as always with a grin.

"Trying to get us kicked out already, Hawk?" I ask and cross my arms coming to them.

"No, never. Just having fun with our boy, Nat." Clint grins and puts Lucas down who runs to Aliyah grinning.

"Come on, I'll show how to get in the vents." He says and she nods running towards the elevator.

"Lucas Francis, behave." I say and give them a look before they go up. "I advise all of you to watch your back with them around."

"Yes, they've been trained by assassins." Clint smirks taking his seat again and leans back to place his feet on the table.

I roll my eyes and push his feet down sitting beside him. "Don't get us kicked out yet and we haven't trained them to do anything too bad."

"No but both of them can shoot an arrow pretty darn well, thanks to me." He chuckles and kisses my cheek as he gets back up to refill his mug with fresh coffee.

"You let them shoot?" Pepper asks as she looks at Clint.

"Just the simple arrows and they don't shoot at anything but targets. Lucas enjoys it more than Aliyah though." He answers coming back to the table.

"And what does Aliyah enjoy? You mentioned reading and drawing but those are typical hobbies for children." Bruce states and looks at us.

"I like gymnastics!" Aliyah giggles and we all look up to the vent that the boys came from moments ago. I sigh and give Clint a look who gets up to open his arms up to her.

"Come on, princess. You shouldn't be up there." He catches her and grabs an extra chair to put the vent cover back on. "Tell your brother to come back in here too."

"Sorry but our children will make fabulous spies one day." I roll my eyes and chuckle as Aliyah comes to sit back down with Lucas not far behind her.

"Would you let them work at S.H.I.E.L.D. one day?" Steve asks sipping his coffee.

"We've talked about that a few times and it would be their choice." I say glancing at Clint and he nods.

"They've been surrounded by this lifestyle since they were born so, I wouldn't be upset if they joined the academies or if they didn't." He says and looks at Lucas beside him who is eating some fruit.

"S.H.I.E.L.D. has academies?" Tony looks at us and raises a brow.

"Oh yeah, there's various ones for all different divisions." Clint nods and sips his coffee. "They've been around for years and just hidden in plain sight much like every S.H.I.E.L.D. does. After the whole circus fiasco with my brother—"

"Circus fiasco?" Bruce interrupts and everyone looks at Clint strangely.

"You opened that one up, Clint." I mutter and he sighs.

"Long story, guys." He says and sits up.

"Well, we've got all day now…" Tony smirks and the rest of the team nods wanting to hear the back ground story on my husband that many people don't know.

Alrighty then I know it's been awhile but I just had a moment of inspiration for this story. I'm pretty excited for the next chapter to be about Clint's history. Yes, I know the S.H.I.E.L.D academies may not be established during his time but I can do what I want with that. REVIEW!
