Chapter 12

This Christmas is Great...So Why Do You Have to Leave Me?

SONIC'S POV.

I was still sleeping peacefully when I was suddenly jolted awake by someone jumping on my bed and me. I opened my eyes to see Cym and Scourge in my room. Cymbaline was jumping on the bed, making most of the wind in my body leave.

"Sonic get up! It's Christmas!" Cymbaline stated.

"Yeah come on bro, none of us can open our presents until you get up." Scourge said.

"None of us?" I asked.

"Yeah, the others are all down stairs." Cymbaline explained.

"But they weren't supposed to be over until ten." I said, sitting up.

"It is ten, actually it's ten fifteen. You slept in. and none of us can open present until you get down there as well. Now get up!" Cymbaline exclaimed.

I sighed, but sat up nonetheless. I stretched and began to walk down the stairs towards the others, who were definitely all there. Including mine, Scourge and Cym's mother. She walked over to me and pecked my head, then spoke.

"Good morning sleepy head and merry Christmas." she said smiling.

"Thanks mom." I replied.

"It's about time you got up." Shadow said smirking.

I rolled my eyes as I went over to Amy, pecked her cheek and sat next to her. She blushed. So cute…

"Well, I'm down here now, so let's open our presents. Why dot the girls go first?"

"Sure." the guys agreed.

"Amy can go first." Rosy said.

"Okay, this is for you from me Ames." I said, handing her, the presents. I got her a necklace with a silver rose charm on it. When she saw it she gasped and looked at it with love in her eyes.

"It's beautiful Sonic!" she said.

"That's not all." I said, as I handed her a new pair of shoes I had seen her eyes while we were in the mall one day, and a brand new Ipod.

"Sonic, you shouldn't have." she said excitedly.

"But I did, it wasn't so bad with the price, after all, I'm a rock star, do you have any idea how much we make in a month, much less a year? Besides, you deserve it." I explained.

"But how did you know about my Ipod?" she asked.

"I may have seen it one time while your bag was open. I even took the liberty of putting all the songs you like on it. I kinda went through it to see what music you like, sorry, but I also put some new songs that we have released yet on there. And, I know you said that you would like it if some songs you like were done by our band, I did a few remixes of my own, just for you." I said.

Then she just looked at me and launched herself at me. We almost fell off the couch were we were sitting.

"Sonic, thank you, so much!" she exclaimed, then proceeded to kiss me all over my face, while she heald my face in her hands.

"No problem Ames." I said after she finished kissing me.

"Okay, now Rosy." Amy said.

"Here you go, babe." Scourge said, handing her a small box.

Inside it was a bracelet with hot pink roses on it with little crystals in between each rose charm. On the rose in the middle, it was engraved, and said,

"To the one person, who really deserves everything and anything."

All the girls went 'aww' as Rosy kissed Scourge full on. After she pulled away, she hugged him tightly.

"Thank you Scourge." she said.

"I got you some other things too." he said, before reaching down to grab another present. He handed it to her.

"Open it." he said simply.

As she tore the packaging, she gasped when she saw what it was.

"The complete box set of the Beautiful Creatures series. But some of these books aren't even out yet. How did you get these!?" she asked excitedly.

"I happen to be friends with the son of the author. And he owed me a favor. And here." he said handing her one more present.

She opened it and saw that it was a new outfit from her favorite store, Hot Topic. She squealed and kissed him again.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you Scourge!" she said hugging him tightly again.

"No problem babe, you deserve it, remember?"

She smiled at him and hugged him again, but it was more gentle.

"Okay, Cream you go next." Rosy said.

"Merry Christmas Cream." Tails said, handing her a box.

She opened it and saw the earrings he had gotten her. She was about to speak, but he beat her to it.

"I also did some last minute looking around and found this." he said, handing her a matching necklace with three charms on it.

"Oh, Tails, they're beautiful!" she said hugging him and pecking his cheek, making him turn three shades of red.

"No problem." he said sheepishly.

"Okay, Blaze, your turn." Cream said.

"Okay." she replied.

"H-here you go Blaze." Silver said, slightly with a stutter. He had gotten better at not stuttering around her as much.

"Thank you Silver." she said as he handed her three boxes.

She opened the first one and saw that it was the new coat, the second was the new shoes and the third was a sterling silver bracelet with amethyst purple charms shaped like small flames. No words were said, none were needed as she kissed him sweetly, making him blush harder than Tails had.

"And last but not least, Cymbaline." Blaze stated.

Shadow, handed her the first thing, which was a set of her favorite body wash, lotion and perfume all together, Berrylicious Blast, then her favorite candy, which was See's Candy: Dark Chocolate Raspberry Truffles, a large sized box of them. And then he took the guitar from behind the tree.

As he walked towards her with it, she gasped and covered her mouth. Then commenced to shredding the wrapping paper. Her mouth dropped open when she saw the guitar, and tears actually started to come and fall from her eyes in happiness.

She set it down and stood up, and took a step towards Shadow. Then after a minute of just staring at him, she up kissed him full on, wrapping her arms around him. Then broke away and hugged him.

"I can't believe you remembered!" she exclaimed.

"Of course I did." she hugged him again, then I spoke.

"Okay, now it's our turn." I stated.

We all looked at each other and just tore into our presents. The girls rolled their eyes playfully, and soon enough all the presents were opened. Rosy, Amy, Cymbaline and our mother said that they would make breakfast, and left the rest of us in the living room. After an hour, we were called in for breakfast.

We piled into the kitchen and saw all the food on the table. It was beautiful. We each took a seat and began digging in, after we thanked them for making the food that is. We just talked, sharing laughs and cheer and joy, as any person should on Christmas day.

After we were all full we began getting ready for the party, all our families would be there. The guys and I were going over what song we would sing for everyone, especially for the girls parents, we had to meet them, and we were all nervous. As for the girls, Blaze and Cream were cleaning up wrapping paper, while Amy, Rosy, Cy and my mother were now, cooking food for our Christmas dinner. The smells were beginning to drift from the kitchen, but we were banned from going in there since we might eat some food in advance.

SCOURGE'S POV.

It had been had been nine hours of getting ready and, showered and changed, and it was finally seven, which was when guests were supposed to get here. The girls had gone back to their homes an hour before to get ready. The doorbell then rang.

"I got it!" I stated and opened the door.

It was Tails', Silver's and Shadow's parents and Ace. We all came up to hug each of them, after all they were extended family to us.

We were beginning to wonder about the girls when it had been another hour, but just then the doorbell rang again. Cymbaline opened it, to reveal the girls and their parents. They were all beautiful. They had worn the same dresses they wore at our concert yesterday, but still.

They walked in, followed by their parents. After walking in, the girls hugged us, and began introducing us to their parents.

"Okay, we'll go first." Amy said looking at us. "Guys, this is our mother, Rachel Rose. Mom, this is Cybaline, Sonic and their mother, and the other members of Sonic and Scourge's band, Tails, Silver and Shadow, their manager Ace, and their family members."

Rosy and Amy's mother looked at us, then smiled and spoke.

"It's very nice to meet you all." she said nicely, but I could see a look in her eyes that said, 'You or you brother hurt my girls and you'll pay.' I'm sure everyone saw that look.

Then Blaze spoke up.

"Uh, and these are my parents." Blaze said, gesturing towards her parents.

"Hello, my name is Danielle Sol and this is my husband Syrus Sol, it really is a pleasure to meet you all." her mother said.

"Yes, especially you Silver." her father stated, narrowing his eyes slightly at Silver.

Silver seemed to look down from his gaze. I couldn't blame him, he looked like he wanted to take his claws out and start mauling Silver. I could have sworn I saw his claws come out a little, before retracting them. Just then Cream stepped in to save him.

"And this is my family. This is my mother, Vanilla, my step-father Vector, and my baby brother William." she said. Gesturing to a green crocodile, and a female rabbit holding a small crocodile in her arms.

"Hello, we're pleased to meet you." Vanilla said.

"That's true. By the way, if you even need a detective, come to the Choatix Detective Agency, I'm the boss there." Vector said.

"A detective? Interesting job." my mother said.

"Thank you ma'am." he said, then looked at Tails. "And you, I'm sure you'll take good care of my step-daughter, right?" he asked, narrowing his eyes at Tails.

"Y-yes sir." Tails said with a stutter. Who would blame him, when a tall crocodile was staring you down, what would you do?

"Good, then we shouldn't have any problems." he said, then smiled and shook his hand, and I could see Tails pain when he shook hands with Vector, he must have been squeezing his hand really hard, and had yet to let it go.

"Um, they still need for him to play drums, Vector." Cream stated.

He let go of Tails hand, but still had a glaring glint in his eyes.

"Okay, let's start this Christmas party." Amy said, taking away some of the tension in the room.

Once the party started everything was going great.

Three hours later, people were packing food to take home and preparing to leave.

"This was nice and it was great meeting you all." Blaze's mother said.

"I agree, we will have to do this again for another event." my mother said.

Just then Ace came up, looking said.

"What's up Ace? You look kinda down." I said.

"We need to start packing." he said.

"What, why?" Sonic asked. We were all looking at him now.

"The schedule was switched, so now instead of staying until March, we have to leave on the second of January. I tried to convince the producers who are funding the tour to move the schedule around, but they said it was either a sooner start date or no tour at all. I'm really sorry guys." he said.

"This isn't fair, wont there be other tours?" Amy asked, I could see tears prickling her eyes as well as the other girls eyes, even my mother had a sad gaze.

"There will be, but this is the one that we've been waiting for." I said. "It's the biggest tour of our careers."

Everyone was silent, until Rosy spoke up.

"Well, I guess you guys need to start packing then."

"Rosy…" I said trailing off.

"No, it's okay, this each of your dream, we'll support you, even if it is a bit tough, for us all." she said.

I walked up and hugged her tightly and the others did so with their girl friends. This wasn't fair and everyone knew it. And we definately knew that we didn't want to leave our girls...
