Chapter 25
Rydel's POV
I stand in front of my brothers who are all severely hungover and looking like they're about to shit themselves.
"What the fuck is this?" I point to the newspaper where on the front page on one of the smaller stories there's a picture of the three of them, obviously drunk, walking out of the party.
"Shit." Riker groans.
"Riker you can't just swear once and this all goes away, we could get dropped from the label, everything we've ever worked for will be gone in an instant because you let the two of them drink." I point to Rocky and Ryland. "Not even drink, get drunk."
"Del, it's fine. I'll sort it out with the record label." Riker gulped down half a glass of water before speaking.
"It's not fine Riker. Jesus, I thought you were meant to be the responsible one." I groan running my hands through my hair. "In fact never mind, you can sort it out. Just don't fuck up anything else." I walk out of the kitchen and up into the bathroom so I can go for a deep relaxing bath.
Trish's POV
Ginger hair, that's what I see when I wake up. Then my door swings open and my mom walks in with a cup of tea for me. She freezes when she sees Dez and looks at me giving me that 'we need to talk' look. I slip out from under the sheets- thankfully clothed- or at least wearing jammies- and make my way over to my mom. We walk out of the room and I shut it behind us so we don't disturb Dez.
"Care to explain why there's a boy I've never seen before in your bed." My mom eyes me questioningly.
"It's Ally's boyfriends bestfriend, Dez." I explain simply.
"And is he...?" My mom trails off halfway through her question and motions towards my bump. I blush a deep red due to the question, the answer and what I want the answer to be.
"No he's not." I say quietly. "But as things stand he might be the closest thing to a father he/she will have."
"That's good sweetie, just be careful. It's not just going to be you that'll get hurt soon." She says handing me my cup of tea.
"We'll be fine mom." I smile reassuringly.
"I'm just worried about you." She rubs my arm comfortingly before walking back downstairs allowing me to go into my room again.
I close my door softly so I don't wake up Dez but when I turn around he's already awake.
"Hi." He says with a crooked smile, his ginger hair messed from sleeping and his voice rough.
"Hi." I smile softly at him as he sits up. "Tea?" I ask lifting the mug slightly.
"Please." He says gratefully. I walk to my side of the bed, handing him the tea before climbing back into bed. I avoid sitting too close to him since I'm not quite sure how he feels about the whole situation. I mean we only met yesterday and he's already basically agreed to step in as the father to my unborn child. "Hey, I don't bite." He chuckles lightly, patting the bed next to him. I blush slightly, sliding closer to him as he wraps his free right arm around my shoulder.
"So do you need to be anywhere today?" I ask casually while pulling on my pink pyjama top.
"Nope, I was thinking we could go for some food at some point. I'll need to go back to mine to get changed but you could go there with me and we could head out after?" He asks nervously.
"That sounds great."
"When did you say that doctors appointment was?" Dez asks after taking a sip of his tea.
"A week on Tuesday, why?"
"Just wanted to make sure I didn't make any other plans." He is perfect. Almost too perfect. Or maybe just stupid. Whatever the case is he's amazing.
"I really want to kiss you right now." Shit. That was meant to be in my head.
"Ditto." He smirks, placing his mug on my bedside cabinet before moving in to capture my lips with his own. A soft, gentle, caring couples dance between our lips. He moves so he's on top of me but keeping his weight off my stomach. In this moment there's nowhere I'd rather be.
Ellington's POV
It's the day of the doctors appointment and Rydel's been stressed about the record label after the party on Saturday. Riker has been meeting with the label trying to sort things out but he hasn't said much about anything.
"Rydel Lynch." The receptionist calls out. "You're in room 2." I take her hand as we walk towards the long corridor of rooms.
"You excited?" I ask, pausing with my other hand on the door handle.
"Excited isn't even the word." She beams at me.
"Same. Let's find out if I'm having a son or a daughter." I say excitedly.
"You mean if we're having a son or a daughter." Del raises an eyebrow at me.
"Yeah, that's what I meant." I smile cheekily at my beautiful fiancée as I open the door to the doctors office.
Rydel's POV
"Hello, Rydel. Just lie down on the bed and I'll get everything set up." The doctor smiles at me from her desk. I lay down on the bed and Ell stands next to the bed fiddling with his fingers. "Okay, so how have you been since your first appointment?"
"Good, the morning sickness hasn't been too bad. I've not been overly tired or in any pain. So far everything's great." I say placing my hand over my belly.
"Great, so lets check how this baby's doing. Now before I start would you and your partner like to know the sex?" The doctor asks.
"We want to know." Ell says excitedly causing the doctor to laugh at his enthusiasm.
"First time parent?" She asks nodding towards Ell.
"Is it that obvious?" I ask laughing slightly.
"Just a bit." She smiles. "Now Rydel if you could roll your top up for me."
The cold gel goes on my stomach and I watch as our baby forms on the screen.
"Everything's looking good with your baby, he doesn't appear to be disabled or handicapped in anyway but it can be hard to tell at this stage."
"He?" I ask, a huge smile breaks out onto my face.
"We're having a boy?" Ell asks in slight shock. Possibly due to the realism of everything now. We're actually having a baby. A real baby. A baby boy.
Trish's POV
"Hi Trish, and who's this?" Dr Sullivan asks me as I walk into her office with Dez.
"This is my...friend Dez." We haven't really discussed what we are, so friend seemed like the safest title for him.
"Alright Trish you know what to do." Dr Sullivan nods to the leather bed covered in paper.
I lay on the bed and pull my tshirt up so my stomach is visible. "Do you want to know the sex of the baby?"
"Yes, please." I answers, looking towards Dez in his seat across the office.
"Alright I'll just get started then, how have you been since your last scan?" She asks as she squeezes the cold gel onto my stomach.
"I've been good. I haven't noticed anything I think shouldn't happen or anything so I'm fine."
"That's great, we do always worry with the younger pregnancies but if you're doing okay and it looks as if this little princess is doing brilliantly."
"My baby girl's okay? I'm having a baby girl?" I look to Dez, my eyes bright with happiness as he smiles back at me.
"Yes and yes. It's still a little too early to say for certain but by the looks of it she's doing well." The doctor explains.
Austin's POV
"Ally?" I ask as I walk into the kitchen. "I need to go to the club to do some stocks before we go out tonight. Do you want to come with me and we'll just go straight there after I've finished or do you want me to pick you up after I've finished at the club?"
"I've still to do my hair and makeup and decide what I'm wearing so just pick me up after you've finished." She replies, standing from the chair and walking over to me.
I kiss her softly before she pulls away.
"I'll see you later." I beam down at my beautiful girlfriend.
Sorry I disappeared for like a month. I was just busy with it being my Easter holidays and it was my birthday on the 16th so I was doing stuff for that and just a bunch of other stuff. Then there was something up with the doc manager thing so I couldn't update when I was going to. So yeah sorry for disappearing.
As you can tell by the chapter Trish is having a girl and Rydel is having a boy, the voting was unanimous. So hopefully everyone's happy.
Umm...I feel like I had something to say but I've forgotten what it was...it must've not been important.
