"I will love you, until the end of time. Seasons may go, winter to spring, but I love, until the end of time. I'm never saying goodbye to you, I'll always be here for you. I'll answer your calls and promise to let you know how perfectly, imperfect you are." Would you promise me the same?
The above sentences are on pages that are pulled out of Blaine's diary. He ripped them out, along with heaps of others, and has them tacked to his bedroom wall. Some around his bed are more loving. Many over his dressing table include photos of him and Kurt.
The photo montage on the back of his bedroom door, always prevents him from opening it to go about his day. Some mornings Blaine's Mum knocks on it, making him jump. He often has to grab the door before she opens it, or it'll hit his face. It would seem better to move the photo's, but the privacy of their location gives him great comfort. He wants to fall into those photos, those memories of better days. Right now his eyes are swollen from so many tears, so many sobs. He'd managed to open the door, after staring at the photos for what seemed like a very long time.
Making his way down the stairs he hears his Mum and Dad talking about him. He stops at the bottom stair and sits, leaning against the rails. Listening, eavesdropping, enjoying that his parents are at least being civil to one another. As he looks at his feet on the floor, he wishes Cooper were here, to complete the 'happy' family picture.
He rises and steps around toward the kitchen. Polite coughs let them know he's within ear shot and they stop their chatter. "Morning Blaine, what would you like for breakfast?" His Mum is always so loving and happy, and always prepared to put food in front of him.
His Father had even started trying to help, even if it is just a token "Hey, how about you help me with this car?". It makes the world of difference, just being reminded that they do care. Cooper sends him text messages of crazy support, with strange humour. But this morning, his Father just nods at him, folds his paper and leaves the room. There are days, especially when Blaine's obviously been crying, that he just doesn't want to be in the same room as him. Emotional scenes aren't Mr Anderson's strong point.
Never waiting for his reply his Mum puts a plate of scrambled eggs and bacon in front of him. "Mum, my heart is breaking, every morning, the moment I wake up, my mind aches for Kurt. My arms ache for Kurt. My heart aches for Kurt. He is the love of my life. He's my soulmate." He pushes the food around, and around, and around. "My ears ache to hear his voice with words of love, ….. or I don't know ….support even."
She grabs his hands, "Blaine, put one piece of each in your mouth. Chew and swallow, just one piece of each, please?" A constant plea, each day nearly the same. The constant fight about food, always there.
As Blaine swallows one skerrick of food he starts to sing, his Mum knowing he's on the path of recovery today.
Never knew I could feel like this,
like I've never seen the sky before.
Want to vanish inside your kiss,
And always at this line his voice is almost a whisper, sighing deeply and tears quietly escape and roll down his cheek. Regret being the lump in his throat and heart, certain that when that lump falls he will certainly die, because living like this, without Kurt is torturing his soul.
Seasons may change,
winter to spring,
but I love you until the end of time.
Come what may,
Come what may,
I will love you
Until my dying day.
His Mum watches as Blaine whispers this song once more. Every few days, this is the song he has to release, either belting it out in his room at night or quietly at the breakfast bar. Eventually his face will soften, he'll smile and more importantly he'll finish one small plate of food. If she knew how to reach Kurt, she'd try to let him know how hurt Blaine is. With enough plea's he'd come around and see the punishment Blaine is putting himself through. She joins him in song,
Suddenly the world seems such a perfect place,
He catches a hiccup and joins her,
Suddenly it moves with such a perfect grace,
Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste,
It all revolves around you.
She's grabbed his hands, pulls him off the bar stool and they start to slow dance,
And there's no mountain too high,
No river too wide,
Sing out this song and I'll be there by your side.
Storm clouds may gather and stars may collide,
They take their turn of lyrics,
But I love you, I love you,
Until the end of time.
Come what may, come what may,
I will love you,
I will love you.
and she kisses his forehead.
"You are the most valuable person in my life right now, Blaine. You're going to be alright sweetie." A mother and son embrace that make the birds hold their cheep, as they watch on from the window sill. Two blue wrens cuddle side by side, nuzzling in just the right places to let the other know how loved he and she are. And in New York, Kurt has just finished watching this scene in Moulin Rouge, with his new beau, Rachel and Santana.
"Blaine, can you go get my planner? It's by my side of the bed, please?"
"Yeah, sure Mum." She watches him leave the room and picks up his mobile phone. Scrolling through the necessary addresses till she comes to Kurt MyLove Hummel. There she finds three numbers, which she writes down. Then she looks for Rachel's, Sam's, and Eli C. Stopping at Eli's, she notes the icon is of a Face Book blurb "Hmmmmm, how strange!"
"What's strange? What are you doing with my phone?" He hands her the planner. "Mum, give me that. What's strange?" He snatches the phone from her and looks to what was on the screen. "You can't ever ring 'that' person." Venom clearly evident in the word 'that'. "It's because of 'that' person, I'm without Kurt now."
She's gone quite red in the face, and is surprised by his attack. "I just wanted Kurt's number, he should know what you're doing to yourself. He should know how much you really are sorry and upset…And what about Eli C, who is…"
"Don't you think I've already tried talking with him? As for 'that' person, don't ever say his name again. And if 'it' ever tries to ring or see me, tell 'it' I'm not here." He looks at his Mum with sadness and anger, never wanting to yell at her. But this time, she's pried too far into his private hell. "I really didn't think you'd snoop through my things. …. I, I can't be here right now. I'm going out, I'll be back much later."
"Blaine, I was trying to help."
"Trying to help! Well you'd help more if you just ask me. I hope you found what you really wanted, because now I have even more reason to put locks on my things."
"Blaine… Blaine wait….?"
Too late, he'd picked up his phone, grabbed a coat as he went out the door and slammed it shut! The sound echoing through the big empty house. Empty of festive Christmas cheer.
~ x ~ the camera follows Blaine down the walk way, trudging through the snow. He makes his way to the right, and walks the next few blocks to Tina's place. There he gets in her car and they make their way to Miss Pillsbury's Sister's place ~ x ~
Emma heard Will's car vibrating up the street. Even though he'd had the exhaust fixed up under it, the sound it made was distinct.
She peaks from behind the edge of the curtain, on the second floor. From her vantage point she'd watched all the cars pull up. Will had parked in the drive way. Marley and Jake got out of their car, so too did Kitty, Joe and Ryder get out from the back passenger. Tina, Blaine, Sugar and Unique were on her side of the road. Sam and Brittany were behind them, she was certain Brittany had seen her, even waved to her, yet still turned around to push Artie in his wheelchair and joined the others to serenade the windows of number 34 Hilltop Lane.
Love,
I get so lost some times,
days pass and this emptiness fills my heart.
When I want to run away,
I drive off in my car,
but whichever way I go, I come back to the place you are.
They join singing with Will, he lifts a boom box above his head,
All my instincts,
they return, the grand fascade so soon will burn,
without a noise, without my pride I reach out from the inside.
In your eyes
the light, the heat
I am complete
Will turns to look at them as they sing with him, they all shrug shoulders and continue on,
I see the doorway to a thousand Churches,
the resolution of all the fruit they searches
is oh I see the light and the heat.
Emma opens her window, it's pretty cold outside, the wind was gentle and the snow was beginning to fall. But the air is crisp and lovely as they round up the serenade.
Oh I want to be that complete,
I want to touch the light the heat I see in your eyes. In your eyes.
They finish the song, she has a huge smile on her face. Such an act of his mooshie love.
"Will, are you crazy?" She calls out. She watches as he looks at the window, up and down the house. She blows him a kiss. And the main door opens, a not so typical burly man comes out. Definitely not looking pleased at a song being thrust on his home.
"Something I can do for you mister?" A short sleeve t-shirt not hiding any of his tattoos, and his bikie boots showing what he likes to ride.
"Oh, I was thinking this is my fiances Sister's place."
"What's your fiances name?"
"Emma Pilsbury, I'm sure I just heard her calling from your house." And the man points to across the road. "She'd be the lady up over there."
"Will, I'm over here." The serenade party turn around and see Miss Pilsbury at number 37, directly across the road from where they were.
"Oh, I knew that's where she was. I thought we were singing to someone else." Piped up Brittany.
~ only 67 days to go, ugh! ~
