Happy Valentines day! Sorry for the shadyness! I moved to a hick town where they hate newcomers and I've had no time to work on this. But, to make it up to you, I wrote a cheesy poem for you:

Roses are red 3

Violets are blue 3

Is it cheesy to say 3

That I love you? 3

Yeah cheesy. I was going to make Jack say something of a poem to Rapunzel, but then I realized that they aren't in Valentines Day. :(

FloraIrmaTylee- Well, here they're going slow. (Like a year and a half slow) so maybe that will kinda help?

WolfieRed23- Actually, I read it in the summary of a Jackunzel video.

PatPat-Pitch and Eris are cousins, they kind of look like they could be relatives. So, I took it and ran with it!

Guest Jan 13-No cookie for me, I guess

AliceCullen3-Shanks!

All right, enjoy the lovebirds. Spoiler- It skips a lot of development time and I wanted to make it longer, but the need to write the later schooling years was calling me! You'll get what I mean soon.

Chapter 17

Rapunzel

As we stepped into the living room, I noticed someone standing off to the side. It was Aster Bunnymund, leaning against the wall, chewing gum tiredly. I gave a half wave and he nodded back. I looked up at the ceiling before the hallway opened up to living room and stopped.

I nod up to the ceiling, "Is that mistletoe?"

"Yeah," Jack smirks as he stops beneath it. "Don't worry, it's real."

"Did you know that mistletoe is a fungus?"

"And…?"

I smirk at Jack standing beneath the fungi, "It's spread by bird shit." I laugh as Jack jumps from underneath the mistletoe and lets out a quiet curse.

"Hilarious, Goldilocks," Jack smirks at my sudden change in emotion. I glare at the guy, scoot around the bird excrement plant, and walk into the living room. A Christmas tree stands in the corner with a coffee table in front of it, acting as a seat. A handful of people wander the room and talk. I spot Sandy, Mavis, Mavis' father, a bearded man resembling Santa Clause, and Manny.

Mavis notices me by the door and waves me over. I smile and join her.

"Hey, I haven't seen you since we did the mural, how have you been?" Mavis asks.

"Oh, fine, I went to Corona over the break," I say.

"Corona? Oh, I wish I could go there, but dad has a hotel to run," Mavis sighs.

I'm about to reply when there's a flurry of excitement at the doorway of the living room. Mavis looks and gasps. I turn and am astonished by what I see.

Toothiana stands under the mistletoe with Aster next to her, only they aren't side by side. They are kissing each other. Under the bird crap though. So that must have been what Aster had been doing by the door, waiting for Tooth to come in so he could strategically place himself by the mistletoe.

Tooth and Aster break apart, Aster grins ear to ear and Tooth blushes, swerving over to us like a drunk.

She blushes and laughs, "Did… did it look bad?" She asked.

"It looked sweet," Mavis said.

"How long has that been going on?" I asked her.

Tooth shrugs, "Since the beginning of the year? I don't know. I had a crush on him, but I didn't know that he liked me back. After all, I'm just that flighty, fruity girl with the crazy hair."

I rolled my eyes, "You're not flighty or fruity and I love your hair."

"Thanks," She looks over where Aster stands with the look a like Santa and a tall black haired kid. She blushes and giggles a bit.

"Who's that next to Aster?" I ask.

Tooth only glances them over before looking at Aster again, "Once-ler and North. They're friends of Manny's." I notice that Mavis rolled her eyes when Tooth mentioned Once-ler.

I feel a smile coming on when I realize what's up with Mavis. I decide to egg her on, "Once-ler is kind of cute… don'tcha think?"

Mavis crushes a red solo cup with her grip, "Whatever you say," She says through gritted teeth. "I'm going to get a new fruit punch."

When the wacked out chick walks out of earshot, I lean toward Tooth, "I think Mavis likes Once-ler."

"Well, he's had a crush on her since third grade," Tooth states. "Maybe she finally figured it out."

"But, why did she act so pissed off when I mentioned him?"

Tooth rolled her eyes, as though it was so obvious, "Because, you called him cute and, you know, if a girl calls your crush cute, it becomes a war zone."

I nod, "Yeah, I can see that, but she was acting all pissed when you mentioned his name before all that."

She frowns, "I don't know, maybe it's just how she reacts to crushes. Just don't worry about it, she's too independent to let you help with this." A song comes on, causing Tooth to laugh and gesture to Mavis. They scream and head towards the couch where the stereo sits. They dance like they're in the middle of a club.

A cold breeze flies on past and I shiver. A voice comes from behind my ear, "I see you aren't much of a party girl, huh?"

I chuckle and turn to see Jack behind me, "Nah, I'm not that big into living room clubs."

Jack motions to the door, "Why not step out for a breather."

I hesitate, "…Sure." We weave through the thin crowd and steps outside to the cold December air. I rub my arms and shiver. Jack leads me over to a stone bench and sits on the chilly block.

Of course, Jack being the gentlemen, he takes off his jacket and hangs it on my shoulders. I reach out and hold his hand. Jack looks up in surprise and I smile, "We'll take it slow, okay?"

Jack nods and replies, "I thought you were just done with me, after the… thing."

I shake my head, "You made a mistake, it's bound to happen." Jack looks confused for a second. I sigh and add, "You are only human."

Jack rubs his thumb across my index finger. Don't let it end, I pray to whoever is listening. A song turns in the house, a slow lyrical one, even without a voice. In a swift motion, Jack twirls me to my feet and pulls me into his arms. He sways to the music, but I'm still a little dizzy.

"Hey," Jack whispers. "I love you, no matter what."

I lean up against him, "I love you too."

I slam the trunk closed and smile, "You about ready, Jack?"

Said albino stumbles out of his house, two duffle bags in hand and another on his back, "Whenever you are!"

Today is the day! The day Jack and I leave Burgess and move down to Corona. It's been a year and a half since the great road trip and we were going back for college. Corona was supposed to have a great Art course.

Manny waved from the porch, "Have fun, Jack! Call me any time!"

"'Course, Manny!" Jack half-waved, duffle bags weighing him down.

Manny set his sights on me, "Keep him in line, Punz!"

I laughed and gave him a thumbs-up. Jack stumbled up and tossed his bags into the back seat of my old truck. Jack straightened and turned to me, "Are we ready?"

"Yupp!" I felt excitement, taking this step. Then, a cold feeling washed over me and I turned to my home. Mother stood on the steps, glaring down on me. She'd wanted me to go to Burgess Technical College, which was close and I could have stayed at the house. She'd detested my choice to Corona, saying it was a "waste of time" and "a distraction to my future".

With a glare of defiance, I turn to the car and opened the door. The engine clicked on and I smiled at Jack, who was waving to Manny. I pulled away from the curb and we drove off. I only looked back once at Mother and it looked like she was wiping a tear, before disappearing into the darkened house.

Jack

"You want me to take over?" I asked the blonde.

She shook her head, "I'm fine for now."

We'd been driving a while and Rapunzel never relented. I think she was just excited to get to Corona, after a year of being away. She had this whole plan: 1. Get to the dorms and settle in 2. Get to know our roommates 3. Go see her parents.

"Come on, it's dark out. Let me drive for a while and you can relax," I calmly argued.

Rapunzel rolls her eyes and sighs, "Fine, we need to get gas anyways." Suddenly, a Justin Timberlake song comes on and I smile. Rapunzel glances at me and we start to sing horribly to the song.

"You cursed my name in spite to put me to shame. You had my laundry in the streets, dirty or clean; give it up for fame. But I still don't know why our love is so much!" We bellow. Rapunzel giggles at the voice that I'm singing with. The song finishes and we pull into a gas station laughing our asses off.

I wipe a tear, "Woo! Got to love that Justin Timberlake!"

Rapunzel neatly slides out of the car, "Go ahead and switch sides, I'll pump the gas."

I switch seats and relax into the driving seat. Rapunzel slides into the passenger seat and we take off, back onto the highway.

After an hour of driving, and silence, I speak up, "I'm feeling such a déjà vu, only without all the singing and old people."

A snore answers my small talk and I glance over at the seat next to me. Rapunzel is sound asleep, book in hand. I smile and watch her sleep. Suddenly, a flurry of honks intrudes on my watching and I snap the truck back into it's lane. Rapunzel wakes up, mid snore.

"What the heck?!" She sits up. "What's his problem?" She points to the driver next to us.

I glance sideways, "Uh… I don't know?" I say, hoping she won't notice my mistake.

"Hmm…" She goes back to her book.

"Hey," I elbow her arm.

"What?"

I grin, "What is a pirate's favorite letter?"

She rolls her eyes, "Everyone knows this, Jack-"

"Just answer it!"

"Okay," She sighs, "R."

I grin, "No, the 'C'."

A confused look goes across her face, before she gets it, "Har, har. Hilarious."

I hold up a finger, "How 'bout this one? What did the melon say to the orange after the orange proposed?"

She shrugs, "I don't know."

"I cantaloupe!"

"Hilarious, can I go back to my book now?"

I glance at her, "One more. Why did the blonde become a basket ball fan?"

She rolls her eyes, "Great one of those jokes. Why?"

"Because every time they'd stop the clock she thought they stopped aging," Jack laughed.

"Okay? Can I go back to my book now?" Rapunzel asked.

"Yeah, I'm done," I wiped away invisible tears.

"Thnak you," Rapunzel whispered, and submerges into her book.

Not even two minutes later, I drive the truck into a parking lot and yell, "We're here!"

Rapunzel gasps and pushes her face into the window, "Really?! What does it look like? Is it big? Is it pretty?"

I grinned and slid out of the truck, "Come on, Punz, let's get our bags."

Rapunzel grabbed her bags and stepped towards the school, jaw slack. I swallowed my laughter, watching Rapunzel walk to the school like it was the greatest thing ever. Well, for her, maybe it is.

She suddenly stumbles out of her stupor, and glances back at me, "Come on, Jack, let's find our dorms!"

Rapunzel

I opened the door quietly, wincing as it squeaked. Since I have a roommate, I don't want to wake them up. After all, it is eleven at night!

I squint through the darkness at the two beds and finally flick on the lights. The room seems empty, aside from two twin bunk beds with desks on the bottom. The top of the bunks don't have sheets and the desks are a dark mahogany color and the walls are a boring beige color.

No roommate in here, it seems. I shrug and drop my suitcases on the desk of the right bunk bed. I pull myself up the ladder, to see what's on the mattress on top, when a head of crazy red hair pushes me down.

"What are you doing?!" The red head yells. "This is MY bed!"

I crawl backward, "I'm sorry! I didn't know anyone was here!" The red head crawls over my legs, walking like an ape.

She suddenly smiles and holds out a hand, "Hi! I'm Eep Crood!"

I shake her hand hesitantly, "Rapunzel Gothel."

She jumps off my legs and onto the bunk bed, "How long have you been here? I just got here, like, and hour ago! My family wouldn't leave me alone, so I had to literally kick them out!" I sit up and stare at Eep. "Sandy kept biting Gran and then Gran starting biting Thunk, and I had to be the one to get the stick to unlock her jaw!" She rolls her eyes and sits back, "My family is torture!" She groans. She suddenly sits up, "What about you? Is your family crazy?"

I stand up and grab my bags and set them on the opposite bed, "I'm an only child and my mom isn't married." I shrug my shoulders, silently thinking, 'Nuff said.

"You're lucky. I was this close to losing it," She pinches her fingers together to show me, "Especially when we moved. Then, I met my boyfriend, and he talked my family into letting me go to college." She squeals, "He's the best!"

I pull out bed sheets, "What's his name?"

Eep twirls a piece of hair, "Guy," She says dreamily.

"Guy?" I say.

"He's an inventor. He makes all sorts of things," Eep giggles. "He made a signal for me that looks like a conch shell." The red head suddenly bends over the side of the bed and searches through a tiger print bag. "Look!" She pulls out a pink conch shell with purple highlights, "Isn't it pretty?"

I reached out my hand and she dropped the shell onto my palm. "It's amazing! How does it work?"

She grabbed the shell, "Like this," She brought the shell to her lips and blew hard. A muffled noise filled the room.

"Wow," I breathed after Eep finished. "That's so cool."

Suddenly, a loud knocking entered the room. I smiled, "I'll get it. It's probably Jack."

When I opened the door, a torrent of people ran in, all yelling at once. I wa knocked into the wall and watched the pandemonium go on.

A burly man was yelling at Eep. A woman with brown hair was yelling at the burly man. An old woman was yelling at the little girl. The little girl had her jaw locked around a young kid and the young kid was running around in panic.

"Will you leave me alone for five minutes?" Eep was yelling.

The burly man was yelling back, "We're a family, we stick together!"

The woman was yelling at the man, "Grunk! She's in college now, let her have her space!"

The old woman was yelling too, "I'm not dying on an empty stomach!"

The little girl was growling and the kid was yelling as he ran, "I'm too young to die, Sandy! I'm only nine!"

Eep looked like she was about to blow a gasket as she yelled, "Stop! Can't you see that I have someone here?"

All five of the gazes moved to me and they started to me, "Heh, heh. Eep? Why does your family look like they want to kill me?"

She glanced over, "Oh, they hate new things. You're new and so they think you're dangerous."

I glanced at the feral family and decided that it was time to go, "Uh, I have to go meet my boyfriend, so…" I glanced at the door. "Bye!"

I opened the door, flew through it, and slammed it behind me. Thuds sounded as the crazy family pounced too late. I gasped out a breath and ran off, before they could get out the door.

Once again, I am so sorry, it's just been an insane two months! I swear that I'll have the next chapter out in the next week. So I'll just see you later and get on with eating chocolates and crying over my favorite anime guys. See yah!
