Sorry this is really late. It was difficult to write the beginning of it but I'm finally happy with it but it's a bit choppy so sorry about that. Please review. There will probably only be one or two more chapter so if there's anything you want to say time's running out. Thanks for all the support and I apologize for the really late update.

"So where is he?" I ask without introduction plopping myself down in an extra bar stool in the back of the restaurant across from the witch.

"Are you familiar with a town called Mystic Falls?" Lacey asked.

"Now why would he go back to that hellish place? And why would Rebekah stay there?" I mused.

"I'd be lying if I said I cared. Now, I trust you took care of our...problem?"

"Of course. I quite enjoyed myself too." I said analyzing my nails.

"Then how about a drink before you hit the road?"

"Something tells me you have ulterior motives to this drink. It'd be a shame to part as enemies Lacey. Thanks for the help and see you again some time."

"I am doing you a favor for old times sake Bella," she said grabbing my wrist and keeping me from making my escape.

"And why should I trust you?" I ask the witch. After she led me to her apartment explaining her favor. A favor I won't repeat.

"Because, I'm the only chance you've got. Silas will rise and unleash hell on Earth. Your enemies can't kill someone who is thought to be dead can they?" Lacey said from across her kitchen table.

"What do you get out of this?"

"Nature needs a balance. A good for every evil, and there must be an evil for every good. I've seen you die, the vampires along with you, however we both know that eventually the witches will be no more magic than the street performers since the werewolves are pretty much extinct. I'm doing this for all of our species."

"The witch doesn't want to part with her magic?" I mocked.

"Come on Bella, you've been so many people throughout the years and never yourself. You don't want to die, and if you were in my position, you wouldn't want to lose your magic either."

"Maybe," I allowed. "What do you need for the spell?"

"Just your blood...and two rings," she added after I bit my wrist, my blood gushing out of it.

"Why are we doing his in the middle of central park in broad daylight?" I asked as she played with salt leaning against the base of a big tree fiddling with the two rings. One had a purple amethyst gen with careful tarnished silver roses surrounding it. The other was Kol's family ring that he never wore.

"They can't see us don't worry."

"I'm not the one that needs to worry," I mused watching a couple in a shaded area of the park. One was a petite red head that was sparing an attractive blond with cool tattoos covering his skin both were dressed head to toe in black. They weren't too bad, they could probably give any robber a run for their money. I raised my eyebrows in surprise when they stopped and the boy handed the girl a strange looking sword.

"Bella, hey it's now or never," Lacey said calling my attention away from the odd couple. "You have the rings?"

"Of course," I said holding them up. "What else do you need from me?"

"Your blood, but I'll tell you when," she said stopping me from biting my wrist open again. "Come on sit across from me," she nodded in front of her as she sat in the middle of the pentagram made out of salt. I rolled my eyes as she started spouting witch gibberish as soon as I was in place.

I smiled bitterly remembering the last time I was in a pentagram. I died last time. Then I woke up undead with the witch Aayana in my face telling me she's doomed herself for not killing me and that I'd better be happy etcetra, etcetra. I just rubbed my head and wondered what the hell happened.

"Good you're awake," a voice said from above me.

"Aayana?" I asked my voice week and hoarse, a burning at the back of my throat. "What happened?" I managed disliking how weak I sounded.

"Esther."

"Who?"

"The mother of those boys you fancy so much. She killed you to turn her family into monsters."

"But I am very much alive," I said matter of factly.

"Drink this," she said ignoring me and handing me a goblet. I tilted the goblet back and drank it thirstily not questioning what it was until it was gone.

"What was that?"

"Esther turned her family into monsters. A mistake that will have many consequences. You are one of them. You will feed her guilty conscious. You the innocent that pretended to be with child so your sister could have a chance at a normal life. Now you will live on, unchanging. But the price is high, blood."

"Bella, blood," I blinked and bite my wrist hard coming back to reality. She started chanting again and suddenly the rings started burning and I dropped them between us watching them spark. I looked at Lacey to make sure this was normal but she had her eyes closed and seemed to be off in witch land. Her eyes opened as soon as the sparks cleared.

I raised an eyebrow. "Did it work?"

"Yes when you two have the ring on you cannot die, well you will 'die' but come back. If your boy gets stabbed with a white oak stake his line will die but not him."

"Thank you. What may I ask are the consequences?"

"What consequences?"

I scoff at her. "All magic has consequences that need to be paid. What's your price?"

She smiled and stood up offering me a hand. I accepted it and got up. "Your friend Aayana told me to do it." My eyebrows shoot up.

"Why would she do that?"

"I don't know, but she gave me the magic to do so. Now go on, you need to disappear."

"Be careful Lacey I might start to think you care."

"Same for you Bella, till next time." I smiled at the witch and turned to leave walking through the park before running to the airport to find our private jet was gone. Of course Kol took it. I took off running South and I hit Mystic Falls at nightfall. I slow down to a walk at the base of the mansions driveway. I dial Kol's number and sigh as it goes straight to voice mail. I vamp run to the door and open it freezing when I hear a voice I'd never thought I'd hear again.

"Two days home and you've already made a mess." Nik's voice rang out from a room down the hall. I walked over to the door and my eyes widened at the guy sitting on the couch leisurely, my descendant across from him.

"C'mon Nik I was only having some fun," I heard Kol say on the other line. I closed my eyes, he knew and couldn't bother to pick up the damned phone.

"Those vampires were for my hunter."

"Go make some more there's no shortage of people."

"Where's Damon Salvatore?"

"I gave him a good and proper beating," I smiled at this. Kol may be an idiot but he's my smiling idiot. "Just for old time's sake."

"Yes well you've had your fun not let him go and come home," Nik said rather madly. "Avoid anymore trouble or you'll find yourself back in a box." That's when I plucked the phone from his hand as Kol said "Hey no need to be nasty about it."

"Hey Kol it's not very nice to leave a damsel stranded in a big city. Nik may not be allowed to shove a steak knife through your heart but I've yet to decide what to do with you. Get back here now." I hung up and tossed the phone back to Nik. "You two are both dead. I can guess your story," I said pointing to Elena. "But yours I can't begin to contemplate. Nice to see you Elena but we will need some family time, especially if he's making dagger threats again. Like Kol said there's no need to be nasty."

"On the contrary I find nastiness to be essential whenever my siblings try to sabotage me."

"And you wonder why you don't have friends," I mutter taking Elena's spot but looking much more comfortable than my descendant. "Spill you were dead last time I was here."

"A witch switched me and Tyler Lockwood's bodies which you would've learned if you and Kol had stuck around, this is your home after all."

"If by definition of home you mean a tyrant's castle."

"Do me a favor Tia?" I blinked caught off guard.

"What?"

"Tell Kol to keep his hands off the Gilbert boy. He'll listen to you."

"Call him, he hasn't been answering my calls." He did and handed me the phone.

"What Nik call to make another dagger threat?" He answered cockily. I rolled my eyes.

"No Kol but leave the Gilbert boy alone, or I'll start making threats, and remember, I don't bluff."

He sighed and continued a smile in his voice. "Fine I won't touch him you have my word." Then he hung up.

"That's the best I can do." I said tossing him the phone.

"Did you miss me love?"

"Define miss."

He shook his head and got up walking out of the room. I rolled my eyes and walked to my old bedroom. Just the way Kol and I left it. The bed unmade, and the room clean enough otherwise. I flopped onto the bed with a sigh and picked up my phone when it rang.

"Tia?" Kol's voice asked.

"Kol?"

"Want to play a game?"

"What game?"

"The one where we keep everyone from raising Silas and cursing us to the end of time."

"Honey who's Silas?" I asked playing dumb. Lacey wasn't actually lying...yet.

"Just the first ever immortal being who wants to unleash hell on Earth."

"And I thought the world couldn't get worse," I said feigning sorrow.

"I know it's tragic," Kol said mimicking me.

"I'll play if you promise me something."

"What is it love?"

"Where are you?" I asked taking his ring out of my pocket.

"Right here," he said hanging up the phone and walking through the door. First I slapped him and then I hugged him and he hugged me back expecting that to be my reaction. I pulled away my lips brushing his and held out the ring.

"Wear this, then if you get staked by the white oak stake which is somewhere in this town you won't die. Well you'll die but you won't be dead for more than an hour or two. A witch foretold your death as well as the release of hell on Earth. Our best option is to fake our deaths or at least yours I can't without killing off every vampire including you."

"Then why do you have a ring?" He said noticing mine as he laced our hands together.

"Because the spell to make yours needed another outlet, it was too powerful for one ring, two offers the balance. I'm wearing it simply because the only person I'd give it to is Rebekah and she is a bit of a gossip when it matters.

"Right you are. Speaking of family I am going to go deal with mine. Feel free to listen in."

I did and after a bunch of dagger threats and stake threats I decided to go play doppelganger and talk to Damon. I was enjoying this a little too much. I contemplated knocking on the door and then decided to just go in without and walked to their living room running into Stefan.

"Going to see Damon?"

"I need to talk to him," I said neutrally not knowing exactly who Elena chose.

"Well you can't he'll just ask you to let him out."

"I won't let him out."

"You won't have a choice. You're sired."

"Seriously? I'm sired to that dick?" I said allowing myself to break character.

"Katherine?" He asked stunned, then I slapped him.

"Not Katherine, I'm not half as bitchy as her. So you and Rebekah? Don't bother hiding it, I can smell the drugs on you, the same ones Rebekah smelled of. Weed is not a good way to go. Or so I've heard. I'm not in the habit of dying. I'm never able to."

"Why is that by the way," Stefan interrupted.

"Oh you've never actually heard my story have you? Well get me a drink because I'll need it if we are going to have this conversation." I said turning away from him and walking to their living room and sitting on a couch needing to talk to someone after the crap few days I've been having.
