Okay, so plan A didn't go down as well as he hoped.. And maybe he went a little overboard tripping Haruhi down the stairs like that, but it really wasn't his fault that it didn't work, it was Hikaru's, he's the one who took the shortcut up the other staircase.
It was such a beautiful plan too, Kaoru was quite upset that it was spoiled by his brothers idiocy.
Okay, but this one was sure to work, after this, Hikaru will confess and soon he'll have a brand spanking new sister in-law.
Great, right?
Hikaru you better do what I mentally tell you to do this time.
Grinning to himself like he was a genius once again. Kaoru skipped down the hall of the school his enthusiastic footsteps echoing down each doorway. He couldn't remember when he felt this giddy, he was almost like a host club fan-girl, watching two twins make-out.
They've never made out before but if they ever did, he was sure the fan-girls would go crazy.
Okay, now I'm getting some strange twincest thoughts, I should concentrate.
Feeling like his heart was dancing with him, Kaoru hummed a happy tune of the song he had stuck in his head after listening to it once on the radio, but he wasn't really sure what the lyrics were to it, and practically danced ballet on his tiptoes. . It always made his so happy when he realized just how much of a genius he really was.
If he could be a genius, and help two people fall in love at the same time, then yay~!
Biting his lip unintentionally, the youngest Hitachiin twin laughed to himself and complemented his smartness and his skills as he trotted down to the lines of lockers that were down the hallway where Haruhi's his and Hikaru's were, and stuck his key into his clumsily, taking a few tries until he actually managed to get it into the keyhole after the fifth time of jabbing it in. Then smiled larger then a mad Cheshire cat.
Bobbing his head left to right happily, Kaoru licked his bottom lip and sighed softly, deciding that he needed to calm down a bit so not to scare his fellow classmates that walked down to their lockers that were luckily no where near his so he could mutter strange things to himself without having them look at him.
Moving things around messily to try and find some loose clear paper, he could swear he felt his brain throb with glorious ideas, and schemes that he was sure that could even make the great Albert Einstein give him a thumbs up.
That made him feel quite impressed with himself.
Grabbing, and Almost wrinkling the paper with too much enthusiasm, Kaoru smirked evilly as he then found a cute pink inked pen and a blue one.. Then found a random book on math, that he so ever despised and began hurriedly scrawled some words down on it that made him giggle madly, then carelessly folded it into a square and grabbed another piece of clear paper, doing the same thing, just with the blue pen.
Looking down at his work, he then folded that one into a square and stuck both piece of paper into his back pocket and slammed his locker shut loudly just because he was to excited to care.
Oh Hikaru, there is seriously no way you can mess this one up~ your not that stupid.
If only Kaoru didn't have so much hope.
giving a triumph nod to show that he was in fact thee most clever person in the whole school, and possible the world. Kaoru shook his hair back to se past his bright orange bangs and reached over to open his brother's locker, so happy that they actually had copies of keys to each others lockers, he took one folded up piece of paper with the pink writing and stuck it into Hikaru's locker, right on top of his messy pile of books, knowing Hikaru wasn't the kind of person to actually care whether his locker was organized or not.
His dresser drawer wasn't even organized.
Then took the key Kyouya gave him to Haruhi's locker and swung it open. Not really all that surprised once he saw that he was almost bombarded with books of different variety. and multiple pens fell out on to the floor but he was too concentrated with the paper to care and pick, then with a swift motion he pulled out the other paper with blue writing and laid it carefully on the top of the smaller pile of books so she could find it easily.
Patted it down as if it needed a job-well-done-high-five. Then smiled happily and slammed the locker door shut as well as he did with all the others... Then.
"Good afternoon Kaoru~" Tamaki greeted happily, giving his hand a slight friendly wave to his friend. Then raised a suspicious eyebrow. "...What are you doing in Haruhi's locker?"
Calming down after the slight scare the idiot blond gave Kaoru, he glared and held a hand to his chest, with the hair on the back of his neck standing straight up.
Gulping down hard, and nervously. Kaoru glared and spun o his heel to look straight at Tamaki's happy grin. "Tono, its rude to sneak up on people, have you no manners?"
Tamaki's face fell into horror as he got himself ready to lecture the orang haired boy about manner and such princely things, but decided not to as he shook his shiny blond hair and smiled charmingly. "Manners? of course I do, I was just wondering what you were doing~"
Kaoru opened his mouth to say something along the lines of Its-none-of-your-business-Tono-leave-me-alone, until he realized that, that was kind of rude and remembered that he was the nice twin... Well he was suppose to be.
"Me...I uh, I'm not doing anything, I just... Uh." Kaoru stuttered uncontrollably, trying to finger out something in his mind that was somewhat believable.. Then also remembered that he was terrible at lying. "I was just putting something in there for her, is all, nothing special, anyway, What are you doing~!"
Tamaki puckered out his lips curiously then shrugged off the whole thing, taking a quick glance towards the floor where multiple pens and pencils were laying on the floor scattered near the Hitachiins feet. "Oh," he smiled. "Well where's Hikaru? your all by yourself down here, and clubs about to start."
"Hikaru?" Kaoru scrunched up his nose, causing a slight wrinkle to appear. "Uh... I haven't seen him since I left class A, I think he's in the library helping Haruhi with her math homework."
Remember kids, its not lying if you say 'I think'
Tamaki blinked and his face immediately fell into perturb'ness as he glared towards the direction behind him. "That trouble maker Is helping Haruhi with her homework? he might make her get every question wrong, he'll make her fail just for the fun of it!"
"Why I think you made be right about that Tono, you should go and save her," Kaoru nodded hurriedly. "I think they were down in the second library~"
"Don't worry Haruhi, daddy's coming!"
Kaoru smirked evilly to himself as he watched Tamaki flail his arms like a mad man, runing down the hall way, slipping on his face a few times before he was out of sight behind the corner. . He had to hand it to himself, he was quite brilliant.
Biting his tongue, Kaoru looked at both the lockers, and ignored the mess he created below Haruhi's locker then stuck his ands in his pockets as he turned on his heel again as he nodded and skipped merrily to the host club, and after the host club, his little buddies, Hikaru and Haruhi will go to their lockers one at a time, find the notes, and he'll be home free of a single brother.
What is plan B, you say?
It was classic, but the classic's never fail.
Walking down the hall, hearing the rhythmic footsteps of another human being beside, Hikaru breathed softly through his nose and wondered where he had lost his little bother this time.
He looked down at his side and watched as Haruhi held a book with one hand, while she turned the page withy the other. He had to steer her to the right direction a few times as she almost made herself run into a few walls while she wasn't paying attention..
She was convinced that she needed to study extra before the math essay they had coming up, he wasn't really sure if they actually had one coming up or not but whatever, he didn't have the heart to tell her that she was probably so studying for nothing.
Hikaru smirked, laying a hand over her shoulder as he poked her in the cheek, puckering his lips similar to a duck's bill. "Little Tanuki, if you don't pay attention your going to run into something, and I'm probably going to laugh at you."
Haruhi blinked as she ignored his little comment and didn't bother shooing away his limb off her shoulder. "Well I do have to keep my grades up, if I get lower then a seventy I could loose my scholarship." she sighed. "Your the one who doesn't have to do anything to stay here... Wait, why would you laugh at me?"
The elder Hitachiin twin wrinkled his nose and he smirked playfully and patter her head with his elbow. "I was just saying." he snickered. His cheeks tinting a slight pink. "Your so cute~"
"I don't feel cute."
"Do you want me to make you feel cute? I happen to be carrying an outfit right at this moment in my bag~"
"No thanks."
"Boo, your mean."
Haruhi rolled her eyes, looking back at her book as they walked down the hallway, watching something white fly past they from the corner of her eye, it was screaming something about daddy coming to save someone, it sounded similar to Tamaki but she ignored it.
Grinning down at her as they turned another corner, going to their lockers before heading to the club room, to put away all their books they picked up from class they were just at, Hikaru sighed and stepped a little away from her as a group of brotherly love fan-girls decided to walk past them, they giggled as he winkled at them then looked down at Haruhi again.
"I'm bored Haruhi," he whined childishly, almost sounding as if he was pouting. "You should entertain me, what's a commoner game you can play while walking~?"
The short brunette sighed heavily as she tried to concentrate on the words on her book, fingering out a problem in her head and wanted to ignore his complaining, until he started to continuously poke her face, waiting for her to answer him.
"Ugh, Hikaru don't you have a brother to irritate or something? I'm trying to study." she sighed irritably, swatting away his hand, making him scowl in annoyance. "But Haruhi I cant find him." he replied, "He left and I think he's already at the clubroom."
"Okay fine," she gave into defeat with the twitch of her eyebrow. "Play I-spy or something."
"...I-spy?"
Haruhi sighed heavily once again as she took a few minutes to explain the rules to him and rolled her eyes at his excited grin. "I-spy something white."
"Ne, the pages of your book~?"
"whoodedoda."
"Okay, I-apy something... Uh... Awesome~"
"...If your talking about yourself I swear."
"Heh, you got it right~ My toy's so smart~"
"Ugh."
"Your turn~"
Haruhi glared as they walked down the hallway that was lined with their lockers and made her way towards hers.. Then replied to him with little to no interest. "I-spy something... Empty."
"..."
"..."
"...Uh... Empty?"
"Yes, empty."
"...The hallway~?"
"No."
"Um... Your shirt, cause you know... You've got nothing down there~"
"I'm going to stab you in the eye with my pencil."
"I guessing that's not it than."
"..."
"...Ha! I know, its... Uh... Its that trash can~"
"No."
"Okay fine I give up."
"It's your head Hikaru."
"..."
Hikaru sighed as he caught on to her teasing the decided to whine about it to himself then got over it and quickly followed her as she got a little out of his grabbing reach. "Ne, that's mean Haru,"
Haruho snorted quietly finally getting herself out of a stupid game she was dragged into and walked up to her locker. Noticing many of her writing utensils scattered carelessly on the floor, not remembering creating such a mess that she could get in trouble for. Then sighed and picked then up. Watching Hikaru walk up to his locker lazily, not wanting to open it and look at his own mess she knew that was there.
Watching her pick up things off the floor, Hikaru rolled his eyes still at her comment of her telling him that his head was empty. He sighed and opened his locker. Looking and books thrown in there carelessly, papers stacked on top of each other he didn't even know what was on them, probably homework he didn't want to do months ago and never finished, or notes he was suppose to give to his parents to sign to apologize for what ever he did to get him sent to detention, but didn't want to give it to them and just threw those in there too.
Not caring about any of that, Hikaru licked his lips and pulled out a book he had no interest in and was about to shove it in there too, when he saw something with his name written on it... In pink ink.
It looked like Haruhi's chicken scratch handwriting, which made him smirk and shrug, feeling somewhat curious as the folded up square looked somewhat out of place in his messy locker.. It made him even more curious as he saw a heart beside his name.. Making him wonder whether it was some love letter from a classmate like old times.
They always amused him.
Haruhi sighed, picking up all her stuff, that she didn't know how, got on the floor.. But shrugged off the possibility's and stood up calmly and stuck her key into her locker and swung it open to pile off her stuff in there again, and to put her overly heavy math book she was carrying in there also.. Until she saw a little piece of paper that she also didn't remember putting there, as she always organized her locker every morning before class.
Looking down at it with her name on it in blue ink, and a small heart at the end, she sighed and contemplated throwing it in the trash can that was surprisingly close to where she was standing.. But decided that they actually had a little while before club and decided to pick it up and read it.
Both the teenagers looked at each other curiously as they both held notes in their hands. . Noticing Haruhi holding a note as well, Hikaru narrowed his eyes, thinking someone gave his Haruhi a love note as well.. That wouldn't be good.
Looking down at the notes as they both read them at the same time, they both raised an eyebrow and looked at each other again.
Haruhi's said:
Hey my little Tanuki~ :D
Meet me in class 2-B after everyone leaves, I have to tell you something.
Something really, REALLY important, so don't take so long, got it!
Love, your best buddy, Hikaru x
While Hikaru's said:
Hi Hikaru,
I need you to come to class 2-B while no ones there. I have something I have to tell you.
Its really important and I can't have Tamaki sempai listening,
And don't take any shortcuts! or go to the wrong room of something!
Haruhi, x
Looking at each other they grabbed both side of their notes in their hands and held each one up in the other ones face and said in unison.
"What did you want to talk about?"
Haruhi and Hikaru blinked at the same time and switched notes, looking at one the other one supposedly wrote to the other. Haruhi sighed and Hikaru blushed slightly then rolled his eyes, knowing full well he hadn't wrote it. "Haruhi, what Is this?"
Haruhi fluttered her eyes a few times and looked down at the unfolded paper in her hands, looking at pink inked writing, with her name at the bottom of it, knowing she didn't write anything like this, especially not to Hikaru. "I don't now, I didn't write this." was all she could reply with.
"Well I didn't write that."
"Is this some sort of joke?"
"Not by me Haru."
"..."
"..."
Both looked down at the papers and glanced over towards Kaoru's locker, looking at it suspiciously, then after a moment, Hikaru narrowed his eyes and stepped over towards it.. Unlocking it, but not seeing a note like they had fond in theirs. . Just strange colorful looking pen his brother likes to collect for some odd reason.
They looked at the notes, blinked at them again.
Then crumbled them up and threw them in the trash can.
Neither of them hearing the sound of a hand hitting a face and they walked away to the clubroom.
Kaoru glared at the two as they walked away, both of them throwing his customized notes in the trash, like trash.. He worked so hard in getting both their handwriting perfectly, it was all so perfect. But they ruined yet another one of his plans.
Hiding behind one of the corners Kaoru banged his forehead up against the wall. Harshly.
God damn it Hikaru! you guys weren't suppose to look in your lockers at the same time! how is it possible that you mess up even this!? your guys are hopeless! Ugh!
Great, now its time for plan C.
