The next day after school hours; Kaoru found himself scowling irritably at his cell-phone. Having Haruhi's text message popped up on there.

"She didn't come to school today" He said out loud to himself, flipping his phone shut as he then flopped down on his bed that was in the room that he and Hikaru shared.. Looking up at the ceiling

Kaoru hadn't really said much to his twin when they got home the day before, he just went on pretending he hadn't seen anything.. He also noticed Haruhi host her guests regularly too.. He couldn't help but feel that he was holding back a little when he and his brother were hosting, but he was really upset with his twin right now, he didn't feel like almost making out with him at the moment.

Crossing his legs as he laid there, Kaoru sighed heavily and reached over, stuffing his face in his pillow, hearing footsteps out the door, and when it opened, he scowled and turned over to look at the wall, still in his school uniform from earlier.

"Hey Kaoru~" Hikaru grinned happily, slamming into the room without a care in the world. Wearing an expensive short sleeve blue vest with a black V-neck undershirt, leather bracelets, blue skinny jeans and clean brown sneakers.

Noticing his little brother in bed, he blinked and his smile turned to a straight line. "Kao, what are you doing in bed?"

Kaoru grumbled something Hikaru didn't catch, and pulled the covers over his head, ignoring his brothers question.

Hikaru cocked his head to the side a little and stepped a little further into the room, his hard shoes walking across the polished floor. "Bro, you know the maids are going to come up any minute now to..."

The elder Hitachiin twin blinked again, confused as to why his twin was still motionless on his futon even if he was talking to him.. Hikaru narrowed his eyes as he stuck his hands in his pockets and stepped up to the bed, peering over at him curiously.

"Kao," he said softly, watching the blanket twitch. "Something the matter?"

"Hikaru," Kaoru scowled into his pillow, keeping his head down, his golden eyes hidden behind his eyelids. "Didn't you notice that Haruhi didn't come to school today?"

"Well yeah, I had to have noticed," Hikaru raised his eyebrow, glaring harmlessly at the big lump in the covers. "We sit next to her in class, I texted her but she didn't reply, guess she was doing something... Maybe she slept in too late."

"I texted her," Kaoru said quietly, lifting his head a little, pulling down the blanket down to the same length of his chin, "She said she caught a fever from yesterday after school while shopping at an outdoor market."

"Eh?!" Hikaru exclaimed. "Haruhi's sick?"

Kaoru twitched. "I guess."

Hikaru scowled, wrinkling up his nose as he looked down at his brother and sighed, taking out his hands from his pockets and folded his arms over his chest. "Don't tell me that's what's ben bothering you all day? and don't tell me your not bothered, cause you've ben acting lousy all day today."

If only you knew why you selfish moron.

"I don't know what you're talking about Hikaru," he mumbled, having enough of his own attitude as he threw the blankets off and sat up, running a hand through his bright orange hair. "What were you saying about the maids?"

Hikaru sighed, rolling his eyes as he leaned over and looked at his brother in the eyes. "Your ignoring my question you git."

Kaoru just nodded, standing up as he adjusted his shirt as walked past his brother, tapping him on the shoulder. "What was your question?" he scuffed, sliding the door to his closet open.

Scrunching up his face Hikaru grumbled and turned around, an irritable red mark showing up on his forehead, twitchy eagerly. "I was just wondering what your problem is, you've ben moody lately, even before today... What's going on?"

"I already told you," Kaoru muttered quietly, throwing off his top to his uniform and threw it on the bed tossing it through the door of his closet, "Nothing wrong, just bored that Haruhi didn't come to school today, that talk I had with milord was a bother."

"Yeah, sure it was," Hikaru shook his head, sitting down on the bed, having his brothers pants land on his lap, he twitched and threw them aside. "You were weird at club today too, you didn't seem in the mood." He smirked.

Kaoru was silent for a moment, slipping an orange sleeveless hoodie over his head, over his white tank-top, buttoning up his dark drown skinny jeans and slipped on his white shoes, turning around to look at the mirror, to gel up his hair to make it spike.

"Yeah, I didn't really feel like it today," he finally spoke, walking out of the closet with a completely different outfit on. "I'll have to apologize to Kyouya about that tomorrow."

Hikaru blinked, watching his brother straighten out his shirt as he walked to the already opened door. "Where are you going?"

"Going to Haruhi's place," the young Hitachiin twin said simply. "I have to apologize to her about some things, I'll be back later, I guess."

"Isn't she sick?" Hikaru raised his upper lip in disgust. "She probably wont let you come near her, you know how she is."

"She's probably not sick."

"What do you have to apologize for?"

"For tripping her down the stairs."

"..."

Hikaru's eyes went wide as he watched hs brother swing a stylish backpack over his shoulder, adjusting the strap before walking out the doorway. "What!? you tripped Haruhi down the stairs? why would you do that?"

"It doesn't matter," Kaoru narrowed his eyes as he looked down at the floor in the hallway. "It didn't solve anything anyway."

"Huh?"

Hikaru blinked, watching his twin walk away.

"Kaoru get back here!" He demanded instantly, his mind running a mile a minute with thoughts, and not being use to thinking so much at once, his could swear his brain was going to explode.. And even though he called out, he shot straight off the bed and sped walked to the doorway, grabbing his twins shoulder before he got out of reach.

Kaoru blinked confused, wondering why he suddenly jerked back, until he looked over his shoulder and saw his twins confused face. "Hikaru what are you-?"

"I'm not letting you go anywhere until you explain what the hell you did." Hikaru scowled irritably, narrowing his brow as he let his twin turn around.

"Why do I need to explain anything?" Kaoru glared, tightening his grip on the strap of his backpack. "You're the one who did everything."

Hikaru blinked, shaking his head as he tried not to get irritated with his brother. "What are you talking about, I did everything? I'm not the one-off to apologize to a girl I tripped down the stairs, why don't you tell me about that?"

"Nothing to tell," Kaoru replied, his orange bangs falling over his face perfectly. "Why don't you explain to me what you were doing in the hallway?"

"What hallway? when?"

"Yesterday."

"What about yesterday?"

Kaoru's upper lip twitched upwards as he forced his gaze away from his twin and looked down at the floor. "What do you mean, what were you doing in the hallway? You're a moron sometimes about certain things Hikaru, but don't act stupid."

"What are you talking about?"

"I saw you in the hallway with that girl... Why don't you explain that?"

"..."

Hikaru mouth gaped open slightly as his gold eyes looked down at his brother who was looking down at the floor as he spoke. . His face then turned into a small grin as he had the urge to laugh. "Oh, you mean that," Hikaru smirked. "Yeah, you said wasn't capable of finding a girlfriend, so I-... Wait, you saw?"

"Damn right I saw," Kaoru glared, looking up, catching his brother off guard with his harsh, uncharacteristic swear word.. "And I wasn't the only one either."

"What are you talking about?"

"Haruhi saw you too!"

Hikaru's backed up a step as his brother pointed a finger at him, his index finger only a few centimeters away from the tip of his nose. . His eyes went wide again at the mention of Haruhi's name in that topic. . And instantly felt something tug at his heart. "Wait... Haruhi saw too?"

"Saw what? you kissing up on another girl, then yes Hikaru, yes she saw you, front row seat and everything." Kaoru scowled, his attitude getting out of control as his feelings about this started to get out of control, which is not what he was used to.

"Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to apologize to her for both our idiocy." Kaoru nodded, turning on his heel as he was ready to start walking again, until he heard his brother speak up in argument.

"Why should she care?" Hikaru muttered under his breath, this time the one to look down at the floor, his orange bangs hiding his eyes and forehead. "Why should she care that I have a girlfriend."

Kaoru sighed, turning back around, narrowing his eyes as he huffed and tried to calm himself down, trying to own up to his 'rational twin' title. "She's not your girlfriend Hikaru," he said calmly, moving his eyes over to him. "You don't like that girl... You just want yourself to think that you do."

"What? now suddenly your against it?" Hikaru glared, his fists shaking with irritation. "Weren't you the one bugging me about not having a girlfriend? not sleeping because you were worried about me?"

Kaoru froze.. He had remembered saying things like that, could it all be his fault? was he the one who screwed it all up? "That's not what I meant by that," he said gently. "I didn't tell you to just go out and ask out the first girl who sticks a love letter in your desk... She's not your girlfriend Hikaru, you can't stand her."

Hikaru was silent as he looked up a little, but kept his gaze at the wall that was off to the left, not really knowing what else to say that could defend himself. "Still, why should Haruhi care? just let her be, she likes Bossanova anyway."

"Bossanova?!" Kaoru gasped, his face fallen in shock and hurt, his eyes squinting irritably.. He threw his hands up and dropped his backpack on the ground. "Don't tell me you thought she-"

"Well she does!" Hikaru argued stubbornly, "Can't you tell the way she looks at him? and that giant smile she gave him when he gave her that stupid mushroom plant thing for her birthday last year."

"Hikaru I can ex-"

"And the way she was looking at him and getting all close to him when she said she tripped down the stairs, you were there," Hikaru continued, cutting his brother off mid-sentence. "It... It doesn't matter, heck, he's probably at her house right now giving her a bunch of ridiculous stuff for what ever she said she caught at that market."

"You're a dope," Kaoru snickered, easing up the tension in the conversation as he started to laugh. "Haven't you figured it out moron? I tripped Haruhi down the stairs, Bossanova was just the fortunate soul who happen to be there to catch her."

"...What?"

"Yeah, I told you I tripped a, what was it? A cute book down the stairs?" Kaoru gleamed. "Haven't you caught on yet?"

Feeling slightly confused about his brothers sudden change in attitude, Hikaru raised his eyebrow and stepped back another step. "What are you talking about? t-that was you!?"

"Honestly Hikaru, I thought you would have known your own twins hand writing~" Kaoru smirked, pulling out a crumbled up piece of paper that was in his back pocket.. Flipping it open so Hikaru could see a little note that had Haruhi's signature on the bottom left corner. "Recognize this~?"

Hikaru's mouth dropped. "Don't tell me you-..."

"Well, you were being difficult."

"...And those strange dolls you had stashed away in you room.

"Love voodoo dolls, those were just a little something from Nekozawa~"

"And those were for..."

"Yep."

"..."

Hikaru felt his lips quiver, feeling the need to laugh along with his happy spirited twin, he bit the inside of his cheeks as he looked down and ran a hand though his hair. "You idiot, what were you thinking doing all that?"

Kaour scowled at the uncalled for name calling, picking up his backpack. "Cause Hikaru, you're a dummy, I had to do something before Milord or Bossanova were to catch on, you weren't doing anything."

"What are you talking about, not doing anything?" Hikaru mumbled, looking up to meet his little brothers shiny eyes, different from how he was looking earlier. "Your not making any sense anymore."

Kaoru blinked, a grin spreading across his face like wild-fire as he glanced over his shoulder. Trying to find a good way to voice the words that were going on in his head. "Hika, how would you feel if you saw Haruhi kissing Bossanova in the hallway, right in front of you?"

A light pink blush crept up on his cheeks as he glanced down at the floor a moment before looking back at his brother. "Uh...I don't-"

"Cause that's how Haruhi probably feels right now," Kaoru continued.. "Hikaru, she likes you... And you just showing off that you can get a girlfriend without my help, hurt her, I could tell."

Hikaru's face softened, and Kaoru couldn't tell if he saw a little joy in his older brothers expression or the look of shock.. But after a moment of silence between the both of them, Kaoru smiled lightly, leaned over and poked his twin on the forehead.

"So, it's either you stay with that mindless fangirl, letting Haruhi get over her feelings for you, casing her to leap right into Bossanova arms," Kaoru said simply, sticking a finger up wisely. "Or, you finally admit your feelings to that silly nerd... Which will it be?"

The oldest twin blinked his wide eyes, a massive blush forming on his face, causing him to look like a tomato.. Making Kaoru grin evilly. Finally getting his brother backed up into a corner.

"Fine than, let me ask you a simple question Hikaru," Kaoru smirked, leaning his face close to Hikaru's as his eyebrow twitched as if waiting for an answer. "Do you honestly like Haruhi? I know I've asked you this before, but I want you to be completely honest with me this time."

"...Y-yeah, I mean, everyone likes Haruhi... She-"

"No, no, no," Kaoru scolded harmlessly, stumping his nose onto his as he looked straight at the identical eyes that were in front of him. "Not like that and you know it, I mean... Do you love Haruhi~?"

Hikaru gulped heavily, feeling the pressure build up inside him as he felt the heat of his brothers breath on his face.. He blinked and sucked in his lips, his face becoming hot, and not from his twins breathing. "I-... I don't know!" He said stubbornly, stepping back a little. "Your too close."

Kaoru grinned, brighter than he had on a long time. Looking down at his shoes as he backed up from his brother, playing with the strap of his backpack a little more. "I'll take that as a yes~"

All Hikaru could do was just stand there, breathless as he felt a huge brick being lifted off his chest. "Wait, what are you going to do?"

Kaoru turned on his heel again as he took a few energetic steps forwards, turning around, having them about ten feet away from each other. "Meet me at that cute little fountain in the middle of Haruhi's favorite shopping mall in about an hour and a half, Hika." He smiled, almost skipping off.

Hikaru stood there, half confused and half over-joyed for some reason.. He was about to reply to his twin who was skipping off down the hall, but silenced himself as he watched his brother turn around again.

"Oh and Hikaru," Kaoru grinned happily. "I'll kill you if your're late~"
