Author's Note: Sorry for the really really late update, however I've been busy. I'm trying to catch up with all of my stories and write some new ones. Last time I updated, I finished a couple so hooray! Check previous chapters for disclaimers, and I'll write another one next chapter.

Over the last few months, barely anything interesting had happened, besides studying for the upcoming exams, homework, more arguments between Scorpius and Rose, letters back and forth between families. The cases of the Nickel family murders remained unsolved, and Neville had kept his word. For the most part Carter was happy, yet the other three knew that she was hiding something; they hadn't given up on getting Carter to tell them about her past. However the other three knew that she wasn't going to divulge said information for a while; Rose, Albus and Scorpius had, for the present time, stopped pestering her about it.

Eventually, the exams finished, and there was a more relaxed feeling about the school. Straight after each exam, Rose and Scorpius debated about the answers that they put down, and who would get a higher mark, for each individual subject.

A couple of days after the exams, the second years had to choose their third year subjects. It was at breakfast that the forms were handed out. The choices were; Arithmancy, Muggle Studies, Divination, Care of Magical Creatures and Ancient Runes.

"All of these are bloody useless Al!" Carter complained as she read down the list.

"They're not all useless Car…" Albus chuckled.

"When am I going to need Arithmancy as an Auror?" She asked, challenging his idea.

"Dad said it can come in handy sometimes." He shrugged.

"What're you choosing then?" She asked gently, after a pause, comprising of a few seconds.

"Care of Magical Creatures and Muggle Studies." Albus replied, consulting the list, prior to filling out the form with his preferences and name.

Carter nodded. "Fine, I'll do that too because, A. I like Hagrid, B. I've only ever been to the muggle world, once, that I can remember at least and C. Because then someone's taking the same classes as me." She smiled slightly and began to fill out the form.

After handling their subject choice forms back, Rose, Carter, Scorpius and Albus made their way to their lessons. Most of these lessons were just a review over what had been taught over the past year, and a week before leaving for the summer break, the results of their exams were revealed. All four had passed, Rose and Scorpius had equalled at their final score, top of the class, while the other two passed with no difficulty.

The lessons turned to give the students holiday homework, and then to outline what would be covered the next year. In Defence Against the Dark Arts, they were going to focus on dark creatures, beginning the year with Boggarts.

Author's Note: Thanks for reading so far, so this was really to get to the next year, and to deal with the writer's block I have/had.
