Chapter 20! Yeah! Okay, I'm breaking my own rules, I know, but these chapters are so quick, and don't mention fun to write, so I'll write the few additional chapters to this story as a sort of Happy Birthday present or a late Happy Birthday or an early Happy Birthday or something like that. Just a great gift. Hope you like this chapter, Happy 20th Chapter! (Okay, the title of the chapter was quite confusing for me to figure out, but give me a break, this is the 20th chapter.) :)
Chapter 20: Mr. Kaldur and Raquel 'Ahm
1 month after the incident...
Raquel sat down next to Kaldur on the fancy sofa, with Opal in her hands. The whole family smiled as lights started flashing.
"Great! Great!" The camera man said. "Wonderful! Move little Opal a little left please!" ..."and...DONE!"
Raquel and Kaldur relaxed as they got up to look at the pictures. "They are amazing, Jeremy!" Raquel said to her friend. "Can we get an extra 2-by-4? I want to put one in my wallet." Jeremy pressed a few buttons as Raquel passed him her credit card. He swiped the card and handed her it back. The three walked out of the building, saying by to Jeremy and the helpers, and got in the car.
When the family got home, Raquel made sure that everyone got into less fancy clothes right away. Kaldur decided to make some hot chocolate, since it was a rainy day outside, and sat down two cups, one in front of him and one in front of Raquel. Kaldur handed Raquel a straw and smiled as he watched her let Opal take a few small sips at a time of the hot chocolate. Opal hummed at the taste and smiled brightly. Gosh, her smile could brighten his worse day. The three huddled together as they watched the fire flicker. Being as lazy as they were today, they all fell asleep, cuddled together, as the fire burned low, and the house turned into a peaceful quiet.
I know, I know, Very short, but sweet, right? Well I really hope you guys enjoyed that short chapter. It's the 20th chapter! Anyway, Zatanna and Dick's story are coming up soon, just wait, It'll probably be like...um...I guess...three chapters. I don't know, you'll see just keep on watching for updates and review!
