Chapter 21
Bella's POV
I look at the ceiling. I am just lying here in this confortable bed and stare. Trying to figure out why I feel so damn betrayed. So confused? My eyes wander to the corner of the ceiling. Hmmm…probably a dream? But what did I dream about? I close my eyes in concentration, but all I can remember is…*knock knock*
I look up from my thoughts to see Caius and Marcus slowly making their way to my bedside. "Aro is organizing the search for our red haired friend." He pauses and sits down beside me before adding like as an afterthought. "Hmm..I guess I will lose my reputation as the cruel Volturi leader soon, if Aro goes on like this…"
"What do you mean?" He chuckles darkly.
"Oh…let's just say Aro is getting…impatient…which makes him quite…irritate…Not that he is the only one." His eyes darken at the end. Making him look nearly scare for a moment.
"But don't worry he will be back soon." Marcus reassured me. I look back to Caius when I see a smirk make its way on his face.
"Doesn't trust me to leave you alone with me and Marcus. Who knows, what I will do to you while he is not here?"
The smile spreads as he slowly leans in to my face. "One never knows what I will come up with."
I blush as he winks at me. "Not that he would mind, but…prefers to watch. Wants to see, what we can do to you."
"But…" he leans impossible close "I could always share my mind with him later couldn't I?" his breath tickles my ear "Hmm…what do you say?" He softly bites my ear before he leans back to look into my eyes.
His eyes glint mischievous as he looks at me. "Would you like that?" I stare at him dazed completely captivated by these deep red eyes. I shift closer to him. His lips so very close. Closer. Closer. And even closer. I put my hands around his neck and nearly touch his mouth now. Only a few inches. A few little - *knock knock*
I curse and look annoyed to the door to see a very happy and very amused looking Aro walk in. He glances briefly at Caius before looking to me.
"Oh…sorry did I interrupt something?" His broad grin stating very obviously that he very well knew that he interrupted something. I glare at him enthusiastically supported by Caius, who also tried to glare Aro to death. Aro's grin got just even wider.
But his smile only lasts for a minute before it vanishes. Taking the good with him. A feeling of doom seems to spread through the room and we look seriously at Aro.
"An unexpected problem occurred."
His face hardens before he says the next words.
"It seems…that one of our guards…decided…to be not as true as he made us believe." Aro pauses for a moment before continuing.
"Currently Alec and Jane are working on capturing him. But it seems they have some…difficulties…doing so."
"Difficulties?" I repeat.
Aro nods. "Yeah..we are not sure, who this person is. But whoever it is has an unexpected power."
"What kind of power?" I ask again.
"Well…it seems that Alec and Jane conveniently keep…forgetting…what they are supposed to do…"
"But that's not the main problem. We have proof that this person was responsible for Victoria's disappearing. Considering the gift of the traitorous guard it's likely, that Victoria just walked out the door…"
The room was completely silent before Aro added.
"To be honest…at the moment we don't know, who we are looking for…And this that know, forget it…." Suddenly a scary smile spreads across Aro's face.
"But don't worry as soon as we get him…he will regret to ever have been born…"
