Of Scissors and Vanilla Milkshakes
Fifth Quarter: I'm addicted to you
Pairing: AkaxFem!Kuro
Akashi Seijuurou loved everything about Kuroko Tetsumi. He loved the way she seems so cold yet so kind once you got to know her well enough, how she sometimes scolds people, mostly him and the other Generation of Miracles but the most frequent is him, like a mother hen when she got worried, how her baby blue eyes looks perfect on her face, her soft teal colored hair, her porcelain skin, her dignity and most of all her strong will and motivation. The fact that she's his girlfriend just makes her more perfect.
They have been together for about 5 years already. Both studying at Tokyo University and have been living in the same apartment, owned by Akashi, for 4 months. He had already proposed but the tealhead politely declined, saying that they were too young to get married.
But despite all of that, there is one thing about her that he dislikes.
Her love for Vanilla Milkshakes.
He just didn't know why she's so addicted to those drinks; he tried everything that he could to stop her addiction towards them but so far none of them have worked.
He tried to bribe her.
"Tetsumi." The girl just continued to sip on her drink, ignoring her boyfriend.
"I got these tickets, remember the international basketball game that you were talking about? The one that you said you would die to see." He waved the tickets in front of her.
That got her to stop drinking and look at the redhead.
"When will we go?" was all she asked.
"I will let you go with me on one condition." He let a smirk grace his features.
Kuroko hesitated before asking. "What condition…?"
"You will stop drinking those." He pointed at the drink held in the tealhead's grasp. He sees the tealhead thinking hard about it and leaned back, he's finally free from being ignored by his girlfriend because she's busy drinking milkshakes.
"Have a safe trip then Sei-kun. I'll just watch it online."
He fought the urge to slap his hand over his face. It seems that no amount of bribery can force his Tetsumi to abandon her love for vanilla milkshakes.
In the end, they watched the game together. Who else would he ask to go with him rather than the tealhead herself and besides he bought those tickets for her.
He tried to blackmail her.
"Tetsumi, have you seen Nigou? I'm going to take him to the pound." He said one morning as he opened the door leading to the tealhead's room.
The girl groggily opened her eyes, blinking before focusing her attention to the redhead.
"No and I wouldn't tell you even if I did." She ran her hand through her hair in hopes of fixing her atrocious bed hair.
"He chewed on my Shogi piece." The redhead tried to reason.
"It's your fault for letting it lie around the house." Kuroko retorted.
"He still deserves to be punished though, " He smirked "I'll overlook it if you stop drinking those appalling shakes of yours."
"No and I'll hate you if you do anything bad to Nigou." The girl finished before standing up and making her way inside the bathroom, leaving the redhead to stare at her retreating back.
He tried to make her pick.
"Tetsumi, I'll let you pick between me and this" He said as he grabbed the vanilla milkshake from the tray he placed in their table and slightly waved the said drink in his raised hand.
The couple was currently eating dinner at a fast food restaurant near their university. Although he declined at first, saying that it is not healthy to be eating at fast foods all the time, the tealhead persuaded him, all because her classmate once mentioned that the said fast food restaurant has the best vanilla milkshakes in Tokyo.
"Goodbye Sei-kun, I'm going to miss you." Kuroko replied as she took the shake from the redhead.
"…" He stared.
"…" and she stared back before taking a sip.
"…"
The girl gave him a questioning glance before turning her attention back to the drink in her hands.
"What's a guy going to do to get some attention around here." He finally said as he sat down and began eating his dinner.
He tried to annoy her.
"Why do you always have to drink that?" He asked, more like demanded, when he found his girlfriend drinking her milkshake yet again.
"Why do you always have to lecture me every time?" The girl answered his question with another.
"Because I have to." He replied.
"My answer is the same."
"Tetsumi." He started warningly as he fixated a stare at the girl.
"Sei-kun." The girl fearlessly stared back.
"Do you know that milkshakes are bad for you? Counting all of the calories in that little drink, it has the same amount as a whole meal and knowing how small your appetite, one cup of that is enough to make you feel full thus rendering you-" He started his rant, already knowing the words at heart because of how many times he already said it.
"Shut up, I understand." It is one feat for the tealhead to actually utter rude words such as this and another to efficiently shut the redhead up.
He even tried to distract her.
"Sei-kun, what are you doing?" The tealhead asked the guy who was clinging onto her.
"I'm hugging you, is that not obvious enough?" He said as he tightened his arms around her.
"I want to know why."
"Hmm." was the reply as he buried his head at the column of her neck before reaching out to take the milkshake from her hand.
"If you are trying to distract me from drinking, then don't bother." She swatted his hand away.
"No good huh." He whispered as he laugh while burying his head closer, inhaling her sweet scent.
But none of them have worked, the tealhead was still obstinate about her addiction towards those abominable drinks.
Akashi Seijuurou was nearly losing his patience, he endured her addiction for years and he did it well but now it's time for her to stop.
The tealhead was silently drinking her milkshake, oblivious to the happenings around her when she was suddenly brought out from her stupor.
The heavenly drink in her hands is gone, it was forcibly taken away. She looked up to glare at the perpetrator, only to see her milkshake being drained out by none other than her boyfriend, Akashi Seijuurou.
"Sei-kun? May I ask what made you do that…?" She spluttered out each word venomously.
"Hm? I just wanted a taste to see what made you so addicted to this." The redhead drank the last bit of her milkshake before throwing the empty up at the trash bin, it went in of course.
"You could have bought another one instead of taking mine." She said as she longingly stared at the trash bin. "with how rich you are, it isn't a big deal right?" she added sharply.
"Of course but I want to taste Tetsumi and the milkshake at the same time. " Akashi seriously replied.
"Are you even serious right now?" Anger was slowly leaking from her words but her expression shows no sign of changing.
"Did I stutter?"
"I'm done." She stood up before wordlessly making her way out of the booth.
"Where do you think you're going?" The redhead said as he fixated his piercing gaze on her.
"Home, where my parents live."
"You are breaking up with me? Just because I took your milkshake?" He was perplexed; the Kuroko Tetsumi that he knows is not this petty.
"Yes, I'm breaking up with you not just because but because you took my milkshake." She clarified.
"Can you repeat that again so that you'll be aware of how ridiculous you are being right now?" The redhead snapped.
"I'm breaking up with you because you took my milkshake." It does not sound at least ridiculous to the tealhead.
"Is it the time of the month again?" He may not be all too familiar with how the female mind works but he has been with the tealhead long enough to understand that she undergoes severe mood swings every month all because of her monthly period or something that he really didn't bother to know.
"Sei-kun, you moron!" The tealhead uncharacteristically shouted before leaving the redhead alone at the restaurant.
He let out a long sigh, shaking his head before following the tealhead out, ignoring the stares and attention they received from the earlier incident.
By the time Akashi reached home, his girlfriend was already packing her clothes.
"You're seriously breaking up with me?" Up until now, he still can't comprehend the fact that she was willing to throw away their relationship because of a moronic and childish reason.
The girl just continued packing without saying a word.
"So now you're not going to talk to me? Here." He scooped the girl up in his arms, carrying her bridal style. Ignoring all her protest, he sat at the tealhead's bed, adjusting the girl in his arms so that she is suited in his lap.
"Look at me." He demanded, when the girl refused so, he gently grasped her chin up before gently adding "please."
The two communicated through their eyes, not a word needed to be said. After a few moments, Akashi finally smiled before pulling the girl into a soothing embrace.
"You've calmed down now?" He whispered as he placed kisses on the tealhead's head.
Kuroko nodded.
"So, is it really that time of the month?" He asked, momentarily stopping his assault of kisses on her head.
It took exactly 15 seconds before the tealhead nodded, burying her face in his chest even more.
Akashi laughed before placing one last tender kiss on the girl's head.
"I won't do it again but do limit your intake of vanilla milkshakes, can you do that for me?"
The girl finally answered. "Hai, Sei-kun."
Told ya it was dorky lols. I don't even know what to do with my life anymore ORZ.
