A/N: Happy New Year, everyone! I'm back and I have a brand new chapter for all of you, plus there are two shorter stories that I'm currently working on as well. One is a Vampire Diaries story and the other is not, but keep an eye on me (er…my profile I mean) for those stories anyways, will you? Love you all! Now, here is chapter 16 of R&P with two very special guests from The Originals TV show!
Half an hour later Alyssa and Klaus were in Klaus's room, talking.
"So how did your visit with Caroline go?" Alyssa asked.
"She broke up with Tyler and has a new boyfriend," Klaus replied. Alyssa frowned when she sensed that he was holding something back from her.
"What else?" She questioned. Klaus was silent for a moment before he finally answered her.
"I told her that I got Tyler's friend Hayley pregnant and she was so shocked that she told me never to talk to her again," he said reluctantly as he watched Alyssa's reaction. She raised one eyebrow and looked amused instead of shocked or horrified.
"Why are you amused?" Klaus asked, curious. Had one of his siblings told her already?
"Because no witch has the ability of a pregnancy test pee stick, Klaus. The witch who told you must have the ability to create hallucinations instead, like Silas does," Alyssa answered. Klaus thought about what she said and realized that she was telling the truth.
"I have to go back to New Orleans and you are going to accompany me there," he said to her. Alyssa could see the anger stirring in his blue-green eyes and asked,
"What are you going to do?"
"You'll see when we get there," Klaus replied. Alyssa studied him for a moment and reluctantly agreed to go with him to New Orleans.
It only took Klaus and Alyssa a minute to get to New Orleans because Alyssa used her ability to teleport to get them there.
"This way," Klaus said to her as he weaved through the crowds of people and vampires that were lingering in the French Quarter.
"Where are we going?" Alyssa asked as she followed the Original hybrid to a gate.
"To visit a witch by the name of Sophie Deveraux," Klaus said as he swung the gate open and stormed towards a staircase leading down into the ground. He descended the staircase and Alyssa followed.
"Sophie, I know you're down here. Come out, come out wherever you are," Klaus called out as he wandered into a room filled with various candles and herbs.
"What do you want, Klaus?" A woman said as she walked into the room. Although Alyssa had never seen her before, she knew who the woman was– Sophie Deveraux.
"You lied to me about Hayley," Klaus said angrily to Sophie.
"I did what I had to do," Sophie said calmly. Klaus growled angrily and lunged at her.
"Klaus? What's going on?" Another female voice said from the doorway. Alyssa looked and saw a dark-haired girl around her age standing there, looking confused. She knew immediately that the girl was Tyler's friend Hayley.
"Sophie lied. You're not pregnant," Klaus said to Hayley as he held on to Sophie's neck with one hand.
"Yes, I am. We both heard the baby's heartbeat," Hayley said as she walked slowly into the room. Alyssa didn't move from the table of candles she was standing beside.
"It was a hallucination! Sophie doesn't have the ability to tell when someone's pregnant, she has the ability to create hallucinations," Klaus said furiously.
"Klaus, just put her down!" Hayley said as Klaus tightened his grip on Sophie's throat. The witch's face was beginning to turn blue from lack of oxygen.
"No," Klaus said. With one swipe of his hand, he beheaded Sophie. Alyssa and Hayley's eyes widened at the horrendous sight that they had just witnessed and Alyssa clapped a hand over her own mouth as she shrank back against the wall. Klaus turned to Hayley.
"Now it's your turn," he said.
"My turn for what?" Hayley asked, confused.
"Your turn to die," Klaus said in an eerily calm voice. He pulled her heart out of her chest before she could run away from him. He dropped the heart onto the floor and then turned to Alyssa.
"I'm done. We can leave now," Klaus said. Alyssa quickly teleported them both out of New Orleans before he could think of killing someone else.
