Hey guys! Sorry this took so long...again. But here it is! CHAPTER 12! Now without anymore delays...
Chapter 12
The Joker turned to Wally. "It seems that my little pumpkin pie has given me a wonderful gift." Joker laughed as Harley stood behind him and clasped her hands in front of her, looking proud of herself.
"Ah Puddin' ya know I wouldn't getcha a bad gift!" Harley gushed. Wally rolled his eyes, he was going to puke. Some couples are cute. But Joker and this girl? Nothing was cute about it. Wally cleared his throat.
"I'd rather have the torture if you don't mind." Wally complained. Harley glared at him but it seemed to do the trick. The Joker grinned.
"All in good time, but I want to play with my new toy."
"What'd she get you? A yo-yo?" Wally snorted.
Joker pulled a strange looking machine, with a bow, out of the box. "This Prince, is the exact machine at Wayne enterprises that I was going to have you get before you rudely refused. This will speed up our progress nicely." The Joker laughed. He picked up his new machine and left through the door. Harley ran after him like a lost puppy.
Wally stared at where Joker had stood with the machine, his stomach churning in worry. He hoped his friends came soon. What if they didn't? What if they were too late. He might hurt them against his will. He didn't know what to do. He had no way of warning them. What if he killed one of his friends?...what if he killed Artemis. Wally shuddered, he couldn't think like that. He had to stay hopeful. Suddenly Wally heard a loud crash and a scream, followed by the Jokers insane laugh. Wally sighed. But hopeful was getting to be so hard.
Meanwhile at the Cave, the Team was trying to work out the problems in the plan. It seemed to be never ending.
"We could ask Batman?" M'gann suggested. Kaldur shook his head.
"We can't do that M'gann. Batman doesn't even know we are doing this mission, he'd never allow this. He believes Wally switched sides to get revenge on his father." He said. Robin nodded in agreement.
"Even if we told him what was holding Wally down he'd never allow us to go out there with so many risks." Robin explained.
M'gann looked at them, "Could we not ask Flash for help? Surely he would let us." Robin shook his head.
"This whole thing is sort of on the down low M'gann. Besides we can't tell Flash. Him and Iris still think Wally is dead, Batman hasn't told them yet. Though he'd be more willing to help us out he could still tell Batman and the whole plan would be shut down." Robin explained, M'gann nodded and didn't suggest another League member.
Zatanna patted her on the back and smiled. "It was a good suggestion though." M'gann smiled at Zatanna.
Somehow Wally had managed to fall asleep despite the pain of his torture his exhaustion had won out. Two henchman came in with a bucket of ice water. They threw the water on Wally. Wally woke with a start, sputtering. He looked around the cold unforgiving room, his vision was blurred. He blinked a few times to clear it up, when he could finally see he glared at the henchman who had begun undoing his binds while he was distracted. When his binds were off he went to run, to get out of here, as far as he could, to escape. That's when he realized just how weak he was, the second Wally's feet had touched the ground he had collapsed. His legs too weak to support his own body weight despite his body being underweight from the lack of food.
He looked confused as the henchman grabbed his arms and dragged him out of the door. He thought the Joker was going to let him starve in there isn't that what he had said? Wally didn't even know, his mind was so clouded with pain and exhaustion he couldn't remember what the Joker had said.
Gradually a smell entered his nose, it was sweet like cookies and there was also the delicious smell of a hamburger cooking. Wally groaned he was so hungry he could even smell food. He remembered when Barry would pick him up after school and bring him a triple layered cheesy burger. He missed his uncle. He was always good to him.
The henchman brought him out of his daydream when they chucked him into a room. Wally glared at them, he stood up on his wobbly legs and turned to look in the room. He didn't even register the henchman leaving. His mouth fell open as his eyes widened. Food. Piles of it. Wally usually would've checked it for anything suspicious, but he was so hungry he immediately dug in. In the far back of his mind he could even hear Dick lecturing him about it. He should've listened.
While Wally had lost his control and was stuffing his face the Joker stood behind him and turned on the machine.
"See the rewards you get for being obedient? Maybe you'll even see me as a-" The Joker chuckled madly. "-A father?" He cackled as he shot Wally in back with the machines power. Wally's body stiffened. He stood up straight and faced the Joker.
Joker smiled, "How do you feel Prince?"
"Ready for your command, Master." Wally looked at him. Joker grinned his yellow teeth showing from his blood red lips.
"You may go back to your room Prince. I have some plans to attend to." Wally nodded and went to his room without a glance at the food he had left behind.
Did Wally really just become a slave to the Joker? It's not looking good for Wally or the Team. How do you rescue someone who doesn't want rescued? Oh well guess you'll have to wait and see! Hope you enjoyed this chapter! Now time for reviews! Thanks to everyone who reviewed!
